[Geril] says: Yeah, that would wake me up too.
Dahla stretches a bit. "People usually straggle in throughout the night, but it's nice to see everyone here so far."
Gebrannt waves at Sassandra.
Dahla smiles at Sassandra.
Sassandra gazes around at some of the new folk.
Sassandra trails her eyes to Cogitatus. "Is our resident fire starter here ...?"
Cogitatus sighs at Great Goretusk.
Gebrannt stretches a bit, followed by a yawn, and then down he goes, closing his eyes
Gebrannt lies down before Sassandra.
[Cogitatus] says: I have flint and tinder, yes.
Cogitatus smiles at Dahla.
[Elwynn] says: I've flint and tinder too!
[Cogitatus] says: We should probably move closer to the log, though.
[Geril] says: Please don't light me on fire this time.
[Elwynn] says: The more delicious variety, imported from Kalimdor!
Deren lies down before Gebrannt.
[Cyrill] says: I apologize everyone, but I’m afraid I must leave you now, something has come up
Dahla brushes a few strands of grass from her knees. "But we may as well start things off, to the loss of those folks getting here late."
[Sassandra] says: What's special about the log?
Gebrannt bows before Cyrill.
Dahla smiles at Cyrill.
Gebrannt falls asleep. Zzzzzzz.
[Cogitatus] says: It seems that the pigs aren't as prevalent closer to the log.
[Cyrill] says: I hope you are successful in your stories, as always
[Dahla] says: Well, I hope you can make it another night.
Elwynn waves goodbye to Cyrill. Farewell!
Deren waves at Cyrill.
Dahla watches the dwarf fall asleep with a chuckle.
Cyrill waves goodbye to everyone. Farewell!
[Cogitatus] says: If we set the fire at about here, we should have a little more distance from the pigs.
[Cogitatus] says: Well, most of the pigs, anyway.
[Elwynn] says: Silly pigs.
[Gebrannt] says: I got my spot!
[Dahla] says: I'm not sure if the pigs like the fire or the stories. Or the smell of food.
[Cogitatus] says: So, anyone for some food?
Sassandra gives herself from distance
[Dahla] says: What's on the menu tonight, Cogitatus?
[Elwynn] says: Cogitatus, I cannot believe you're still advertising for those dishes when I've plainly got enough [Silk Cloth] for everyone to enjoy!
[Barahn] says: I wouldn't mind trying the crab cakes....
[Sassandra] says: Hopefully not more mystery meat...
[Cogitatus] says: Well, let me finish cooking these fish....
[Cogitatus] says: ...then I'll show you the banquet.
Barahn looks as though he wished he hadn't said that as he does not want to appear pushy
Cogitatus smiles at Dahla.
[Cogitatus] says: Crab cakes in a moment....
[Elwynn] says: Hooray for crabcakes!
[Cogitatus] says: Okay, here's the menu:
Elwynn cheers for crabcakes!
[Cogitatus] says: [Jungle Stew], [Undermine Clam Chowder], [Roast Raptor], [Boiled Clams]
[Cogitatus] says: [Curiously Tasty Omelet], [Crab Cake], [Hot Wolf Ribs], [Tender Wolf Steak]
[Cogitatus] says: [Bristle Whisker Catfish], and [Longjaw Mud Snapper].
[Dahla] says: It smells delicious, Cogitatus. I'd love to try your clam chowder if I may. See how it compares to Slynn's.
[Dahla] says: Thank you!
[Cogitatus] says: Here you go.
Cogitatus smiles at Dahla.
Sassandra reads quietly to herself.
[Geril] says: I'd like some food, but I don't want to know how bad my own cooking really is.
[Barahn] says: mmm that is very tasty - thank you - my compliments!
[Cogitatus] says: Well, you can try some of mine, then.
[Elwynn] says: Oh wow!
[Elwynn] says: I absolutely demand your recipe!
[Elwynn] says: Or your firstborn son.
Cogitatus nods at Barahn. "You're welcome."
[Dahla] says: Well then. Welcome to Story Night, friends and new faces. I'm Dahla Winvale, who will be helping keep things from breaking out into all-out brawls if possible. Get yourselves fed and warmed by the fire, and I think we're quite ready to begin.
Cogitatus arches an eyebrow at Elwynn an smirks. "I'll show you the recipe when we have time."
[Sassandra] says: Do you have a big stick then? I hear that helps.
Elwynn winks slyly at Cogitatus.
[Sassandra] says: With the brawls, that is.
Dahla grins at Sassandra wickedly.
Cogitatus laughs at Sassandra.
[Dahla] says: Absolutely. First rule as a Healer.
[Dahla] says: People will sit down and let you set a broken leg if you threaten to break the good one.
[Cogitatus] says: One big stick right here, Dahla.
Cogitatus smiles at Dahla.
[Geril] says: Works surprisingly well.
Elwynn scrambles to pull out a pad and proceeds to take notes on Dahla's RULES AS A HEALER
Dahla grins wickedly at Cogitatus.
Cogitatus chuckles at Dahla.
Geril doesn't see a big stick in that direction. *cough*
[Dahla] says: Now, does anyone feel brave enough to go first? It's a little easier, as there's nothing to risk following.
Cogitatus is wearing his [Guiding Stave of Wisdom] on his back.
Dahla grins encouragingly.
[Cogitatus] says: Hmmm.... No takers....
[Gebrannt] says: Wait, who has the fish? I didn't get any!
Dahla grins wickedly at Cogitatus.
[Elwynn] says: Well, I've got a story to share!
Gebrannt displays an overexaggerated frown
[Dahla] says: Well then, miss Elwynn! Please, do so!
[Elwynn] says: Hooray!
Gebrannt thanks Cogitatus.
Cogitatus smiles at Gebrannt.
Elwynn clears her throat... ahem
Cogitatus turns his attention to Elwynn and listens closely.
[Elwynn] says: When we were children, everything seemed more clear.
[Elwynn] says: We sailed through the tops of trees! Wild like children you know
Arrish walks in quietly, smiling, and circles around.
Dahla waves to the Osrics with a warm smile, before looking back to Elwynn.
[Elwynn] says: My story is those of times that were, times that were... and will never be again.
Strand slips in quietly.
Strand waves to Sassandra.
Gebrannt nods at Strand.
Barahn smiles at Strand.
Cogitatus smiles and nods at Strand and Arrish.
[Elwynn] says: From the forest where I hail: in fair fen and glen, blue streams and green trees, Elwynn is the name!
Kathetia nods with a smile to Strand.
[Elwynn] says: But Elwynn, green and fair, was not always was.
[Elwynn] says: Those stories they tell you about Northshire Abbey, and the Order of Light... oh those silly tales
Arrish settles back on one arm, listening curiously to Elwynn.
[Elwynn] says: Myths at best, legends at worst, and simply stories for the monarchy
Cogitatus glares angrily at Great Goretusk.
[Elwynn] says: I tell you the truth of Elwynn!
Elwynn waves a hand over the crowd
[Elwynn] says: Surely, you've all been there!
[Elwynn] says: Who's been there? Raise your voice!
Dahla smiles and says, "I have!"
[Cogitatus] says: I have.
Geril raises his hand.
[Kathetia] says: I have.
[Sassandra] says: Only a bit.
[Barahn] says: I have ... many times
Gebrannt quietly shakes his head, answering No.
[Elwynn] says: Well now! That is the best of worlds. For you've been there, and seen the beauty, is that not right?
[Strand] says: Aye!
[Arrish] says: As much there as anywhere.
Cogitatus nods at Elwynn.
[Elwynn] says: Hooray!
Dahla nods along with the storyteller.
[Elwynn] says: But as I said, not always was it so.
[Elwynn] says: For in the beginning of time, like all places, it was simply nothingness!
[Elwynn] says: The trees when they came, yes came, they spoke and walked just like the rest of us
[Elwynn] says: Gentle giants of the largest and smallest variety they came, lumbering over mountaintops and fording rivers unimaginable
[Elwynn] says: And they saw the land, and said to each other "We'll stay here, won't we now?" And so they did.
Dahla listens, fascinated by the notion of talking and walking trees.
[Elwynn] says: They lived for countless generations in harmony....
[Elwynn] says: ... until of course, the hooligans came!
Cogitatus has a questioning look on his face and silently mouths to himself the word "Ancients?"
[Elwynn] says: Now, you've always got to watch for the hooligans. They're tricky little folk, hiding in closets and under beds.
[Elwynn] says: If you don't eat your vegetables and go to bed on time, mind you, The HOOLIGANS WILL GET YOU!!
[Elwynn] says: That is a fact.
Sassandra blinks at Elwynn.
Gebrannt checks behind him for a dreadful Hooligan!
Cogitatus chuckles at Elwynn.
[Elwynn] says: But the Hooligans saw the land, and they desired it from the trees.
[Elwynn] says: But the hooligans were but tiny, and the trees immense!
Gebrannt waves at Veras.
Dahla winks slyly at Veras.
[Elwynn] says: So the hooligans, tricksters they are, befriended the trees.
[Elwynn] says: In genuine friendship? Well, no.
[Elwynn] says: And their plan, they struck soon!
[Elwynn] says: The trees you see, were not a peoples easily amused.
[Elwynn] says: Day in and day out, they complained un-ceasingly of their boredom. (whether they were actually bored or not is a subject of much scholarly debate... as, well they stayed, didn't they?)
Dahla smiles at Peejee.
[Elwynn] says: So the hooligans said to the trees, We'll have a magnificent party we will!
[Elwynn] says: They'll be food and music, yes there will!
[Elwynn] says: So the trees cheered, and the hooligans cheered
[Elwynn] says: But on the day of the party, the hooligans neglected to bring their music.
[Elwynn] says: The trees were immense, and bored, and slightly peeved.
Arrish covers a laugh.
[Elwynn] says: But the hooligans had a ready solution to placate them! "Oh mighty trees, our music you don't need! Your singing voices and lovely tunes are all in the world"
Cogitatus chuckles silently, almost as a response to Arrish.
[Elwynn] says: "They are the sun, and we are the earth, so sing for us! Sing will you not?"
Gebrannt looks at all the trees around him, wondering....
[Elwynn] says: And the trees were happy, so they sang.
[Elwynn] says: Now, of course, if you've actually heard a tree sing, you know that's ALL LIES.
Cogitatus laughs at Elwynn.
Dahla grins wickedly at Elwynn.
[Elwynn] says: It's a terrible grating cacophony that makes you want to commit suicide.
Strand grins.
[Elwynn] says: Twice.
[Elwynn] says: In a row.
Dahla winces!
Peejee smirks slightly and reaches into her pack to pull out a banana.
Kathetia smiles a bit.
Cogitatus cackles maniacally at Elwynn.
[Elwynn] says: The earth rumbles and the wildlife cries in pain and the sky darkens when the trees sing.
[Elwynn] says: But the trees sang!
[Elwynn] says: Their horrible, awful tunes filled their air.
[Elwynn] says: The hooligans laughed to themselves, oh how they laughed!
[Elwynn] says: They said to the trees, Magnificent! Singing it is, we've our music!
[Elwynn] says: So the trees were flattered and sang louder and louder.
Arrish murmurs, "Oh dear."
[Elwynn] says: The more the hooligans cheered the louder the trees sang.
[Elwynn] says: Soon they danced merrily!
[Elwynn] says: Now, if you've ever seen a tree dance, it's not entirely graceful.
Dahla continues to wince, unable to imagine.
[Cogitatus] says: I can imagine.
[Elwynn] says: The earth shakes more, the wildlife is crushed in pain, and the sky is filled with leaves.
Gebrannt grins from ear to ear
[Elwynn] says: But the trees sang and dance! Sang and danced the night away.
[Elwynn] says: I needn't remind you that trees aren't exactly built for singing and dancing.
[Elwynn] says: So that was the party.
Strand nods wisely.
[Elwynn] says: Then the next day, the trees awoke to hollowed throats and sore limbs.
[Elwynn] says: They were unbelievably tired! And hung over not to mention.
[Elwynn] says: So one by one, in their quiet and pain, they dug into the earth and slept.
Kathetia chuckles at the thought of a drunken tree.
[Elwynn] says: And there they sleep still, for a thousand years now.
[Elwynn] says: The hooligans made the trees sleep, all trees of the world.
[Elwynn] says: So is Elwynn forest, of Trees that Are Still and Do Not Sing.
[Elwynn] says: THE END.
Elwynn bows before Cogitatus.
Gebrannt cheers at Elwynn!
Arrish raises her eyebrows, smiling. "Quite a party, indeed."
Cogitatus applauds at Elwynn. Bravo!
Arrish claps excitedly for Elwynn.
Dahla laughs and cheers, applauding.
Gebrannt claps excitedly for Elwynn.
Strand claps happily.
Sassandra claps excitedly.
Barahn claps excitedly for Elwynn.
Kathetia claps excitedly for Elwynn.
Gebrannt claps excitedly for Elwynn.
[Elwynn] says: Well! That is my story. Thank you all for listening!
Veras nods to Elwynn and smirks a bit
Peejee laughs and claps for Elwynn, "Quite fun."
[Dahla] says: Thank you so much for telling it, Elwynn! It was wonderful.
Gebrannt glances around at the trees once more....
[Cogitatus] says: Okay, unless anyone here is a higher rank than Sergeant, I hereby declare that story as classified.
[Cogitatus] says: The last thing we need is for the Horde to convince the Ancients of Darnassus to sing and dance.
[Arrish] says: Shh, don't wake the trees.
Cogitatus laughs.
Dahla grins wickedly at Arrish.
[Sassandra] says: That would be... interesting....
Cogitatus laughs at Sassandra.
Peejee shoos Great Goretusk away. Be gone pest!
[Cogitatus] says: Indeed it would.
Strand gives Cogitatus a mildly perplexed look.
Dahla smiles around the expanding circle. "Now, who would like to share something next?"
[Elwynn] says: The great tree of Teldrassil! Once you're in the Well of Eternity you've lost all inclination to sing and dance.
[Gebrannt] says: I'll go next.....
[Dahla] says: Please, sir!
[Cogitatus] says: Oh, well, in that case, we should be fine, then.
Elwynn cheers at Gebrannt!
Dahla smiles at Gebrannt.
Cogitatus smiles at Gebrannt.
[Gebrannt] says: Well, my name is Gebrannt...and in another tongue it means Burned...
Veras glances up to Gebrannt, and leans back, resting on the palms of his hands
[Gebrannt] says: I believe it comes from the fire red of the hair I have, and it has been said, that if you stare at it long enough, the retina will burn right out of your eye!
Arrish shifts to listen to Gebrannt.
Geril winces, "I don't want to know why you have that name."
[Gebrannt] says: So please, close your eyes, for your own safety, and sit back and listen to the story I have...
Dahla laughs softly. "It is very bright."
Cogitatus laughs at Gebrannt.
Elwynn shields her eyes carefully
[Gebrannt] says: Another night at the inn, another empty mug, another stranger to my left, another to my right
Arrish doesn't actually close her eyes, but she seems intrigued as she listens.
[Gebrannt] says: The one to my left begins to speak, "I heard the Horde was here. An Orc from the Horde!"
[Gebrannt] says: and I looked to him and replied, "Thank god it was an Orc from the Alliance! However, the best looking Orc could look like a dwarf on a good day..."
Peejee grins and takes another bite of her banana, listening intently.
[Gebrannt] says: wasn't an Orc from the Alliance, anyhow. After my very flat joke,...it was quiet once more
Cogitatus begins to eat some of his [Roast Raptor].
Dahla chuckles quietly.
Cupris added to friends.
[Gebrannt] says: and the man to the right exclaims... Have you ever seen the Pink bird?
Shaun was here the whole time, really.
[Gebrannt] says: "The Pink Bird?"... "Yes! The Pink Bird!"
Peejee quirks an eyebrow in curiosity, wondering what this 'pink bird' could be.
[Gebrannt] says: and he proceeded to tell me the tale of this Pink Bird of Mulgore! He spoke with such interest, such enthusiasm, I felt compelled to seek this bird myself
[Gebrannt] says: So the next morning arrived, and I set out. I jumped on a ship and wound up across the Ocean.
Elwynn gasps!
[Gebrannt] says: Any normal Dwarf would charge in head strong, looking for his treasure! But not I! I am smarter than that...
Dahla smiles at Gebrannt.
[Gebrannt] says: I know I can't take on the whole Horde defenses all by myself...Maybe 3/4 of them, but not all
Kathetia smiles as she listens, shifting a bit for comfort.
[Geril] says: ah, you're a wise dwarf.
Geril grins.
[Gebrannt] says: So I come up with a plan. A brilliant plan that would put even a gnome to shame!
Cogitatus chuckles at Gebrannt.
Dahla grins at Cogitatus. "Good placement!"
Cogitatus chuckled in response to the "3/4" comment.
Peejee snickers and finishes up eating her banana, tossing the peel into the fire with a chuckle.
[Gebrannt] says: I figured, I needed to come up with a distraction. Catch them off guard...
Cogitatus smiles and quietly says to Dahla "Thanks".
[Gebrannt] says: So I began to ponder...well, what would cause such a distraction, they would be so dumbfounded to attack me?
Calithos looks over. He sits down quietly.
[Gebrannt] says: And it hit me... the same thing I use to stun the ladies when I was in my youth!
[Cogitatus] says: Dare I ask?
[Gebrannt] says: I stripped down to only my loin cloth, and proceeded through the woods of Ashenvale
Sassandra arches a brow at the dwarf.
[Gebrannt] says: I admit, it was cold.
Peejee turns to give Calithos a playful grin and a wink in greeting.
[Geril] says: That'd kill them outright.
Barahn smiles.
Elwynn whispers to Geril, "that'd kill me outright"
[Gebrannt] says: And as I was approaching the first Guard tower, the Orcs just stared.
Arrish shakes her head, wincing a bit.
Cogitatus overhears Elwynn and snickers quietly.
Geril shrugs, "Dwarves are thick, go figure."
Peejee chuckles at Gebrannt.
[Gebrannt] says: I whistled a tune, and strolled right by. I could have sworn I heard someone say "Hide the Children!"
Calithos smiles at Peejee, tipping his hat at her, listening
Cogitatus laughs at Gebrannt.
Arrish glances at Geril.
Veras simply quirks an eyebrow
Sassandra grins at Gebrannt.
Kathetia chuckles lightly, shaking her head.
[Gebrannt] says: But, I cant be sure. I made it into the Barrens, and figured I'd be safe by now. Mulgore was only a short stroll away
Livie greets everyone with a hearty hello!
Peejee nods at Livie in silent greeting.
Barahn smiles at Livie.
[Gebrannt] says: So, I dressed once more, only adding to my natural beauty...
Calithos tips his hat a bit.
Gebrannt strikes his beard with one hand
[Gebrannt] says: I walk for a bit, and finally..I make to the edge of Mulgore
[Gebrannt] says: I begin to walk in, until I notice something right in front of me!
Dahla grins as she listens, shaking her head.
Arrish gives the newcomers a polite nod and looks back to the dwarf.
Veras mumbles "Probably a Tauren"
[Gebrannt] says: There were 3.... no... 5...no..10! Yes! There were 10 big huge ugly Tauren before me!
Peejee beckons Delesta over.
Dahla smiles at Delesta.
Calithos looks at Delesta. He smiles a bit, tipping his hat.
[Gebrannt] says: And the obvious leader of the gang steps forward and speaks softly "Who are you, and what’s you're business Dwarf?"
Delesta nods to Cal as she sat down.
Peejee turns and gives Delesta a warm smile before turning back to Gebrannt and listens to the rest of the story.
[Gebrannt] says: and I bellow back, as loud as I can, so everyone in Mulgore could hear me...
[Gebrannt] says: "My name is Big Geb!" and I motioned to my rifle "And this here is Little Larry! And I'm comin through!"
Elwynn mumbles, "I didn't think the head of dwarves were big enough to accommodate such vocal chords"
Dahla laughs quietly.
Kathetia chuckles lightly.
Peejee chuckles at Gebrannt.
Calithos smirks, liking this story already.
[Gebrannt] says: We stared at each for a moment, my red fiery eyes against his big chocolate eyes... and I knew right then I had won
Cogitatus smirks slyly at Gebrannt.
[Gebrannt] says: I made a move to my rifle...and then the Tauren turn and lead his gang away..no words were said.
[Gebrannt] says: So, I continued my trek for this Pink Bird.
[Gebrannt] says: I searched high and low! Far and close! In the deepest of waters, and highest of mountains!
[Gebrannt] says: I found plenty of blue birds, brown cats, and grey dogs. But no Pink Birds
[Gebrannt] says: I setup camp at night, disheartened, ready to go home.
[Gebrannt] says: Morning came, and everything was packed. Until..I heard a snap of a twig.
[Gebrannt] says: I went to my rifle, expecting it to be the Tauren from the prior day.
[Gebrannt] says: However, there it was. The Pink Bird found ME! It was must have been destiny.
Cogitatus chuckles quietly.
[Gebrannt] says: And, believe it or not, he spoke to me. He asked "Are you the one searching for me?"
Dahla listens intently.
Cogitatus arches an eyebrow and smiles.
[Gebrannt] says: and I replied, I admit the only time in my life I was slightly nervous...
[Gebrannt] says: "Why y...yes...I’m Big Geb..."
Peejee 's eyebrows shoot up as a wicked smile spreads across her lips.
[Gebrannt] says: and the Bird says... "I have been searching for you too...."
[Gebrannt] says: I was dumbfounded. How is it possible, that he was searching for me?
Peejee chuckles and mumbles under her breath, "guess that's why they had trouble finding one another."
Arrish glances over at Peejee and hides a smile behind her hand.
[Gebrannt] says: And the Bird answered my question, without me even asking! "If two people or things are meant to be...they will happen. Whether you realize it or not, you are searching for each other"
[Gebrannt] says: and I cried out "Oh Pickles! How would you know such things?"
[Gebrannt] says: And he said to me "We found each other did we not?"
[Gebrannt] says: And to this day, we still remain friends, and I still call him Pickles
[Gebrannt] says: Now, most people would never believe me, casting aside my story as a tall tale
[Gebrannt] says: However, I bring you proof!
Dahla smiles at Gebrannt.
[Dahla] says: Oh really?
[Gebrannt] says: I’m pleased to introduce, my friend Pickles!
Cogitatus arches an eyebrow and smiles.
Cogitatus laughs at Gebrannt.
Dahla applauds at Pickles. Bravo!
Elwynn cheers at Pickles!
[Dahla] says: Pickles!
Barahn cheers!
Deren cheers at Pickles!
Delesta chuckles at Pickles.
Shaun smirks slyly at Pickles.
Calithos applauds. Bravo!
Cogitatus greets Pickles warmly.
Kathetia claps excitedly for Pickles.
Peejee cheers at Pickles!
Veras blinks at Pickles.
[Gebrannt] says: THE END :)
Cogitatus applauds at Gebrannt. Bravo!
Strand laughs, and claps.
Arrish applauds at Pickles. Bravo!
Dahla applauds at Gebrannt. Bravo!
[Elwynn] says: Hooray!
Geril applauds at Shaun. Bravo!
Cogitatus greets Pickles with a hearty hello!
[Gebrannt] says: Oh, and if anyone could spare some fruit....it'd be great. He's a picky eater :)
[Peejee] says: Excellent story.
Kathetia cheers at Gebrannt!
Cogitatus laughs at Gebrannt.
Arrish admires the great pink bird.
[Cogitatus] says: There's a fruit merchant across the lake and up the hill. I haven't any fruit on-hand, I'm afraid.
[Dahla] says: Big Geb, thank you so much for sharing that with us... and Pickles, too.
Gebrannt nods at Dahla.
Sassandra looks to her left and idly pokes at the bird.
[Gebrannt] says: I think he likes you
Auturgen quietly approaches the circle and takes a seat near the back, his warm smile greetings those around him.
Gebrannt follows his comment with a wink
Cogitatus chuckles at Sassandra.
[Dahla] says: We're getting a nice full crowd now, so... I'm sure there's someone just itching to share another tale with us.
[Peejee] says: I have a poem, not a story, if that's alright.
Strand nods to Auturgen.
Cogitatus smiles at Peejee.
Delesta smiles at Peejee.
Dahla smiles at Peejee.
Calithos tips his hat. "Of course, Peej."
[Dahla] says: Please!
Gebrannt cheers at Peejee!
[Cogitatus] says: Poems have been done, before. Please, share.
Peejee grins and stands up, brushing the dirt off her pants.
Sassandra trails her eyes to Peejee, smiling.
[Peejee] says: I had some rather interesting inspiration from an associate of mine, who's been in a rather unique situation recently.
Veras turns his attention to Peejee
Peejee coughs then closes her eyes and begins to recite it from memory.
Arrish half-turns so she can watch Peejee as well as listen to her.
[Peejee] says: NOW all the truth is out,
[Peejee] says: Be secret and take defeat
[Peejee] says: From any brazen throat,
[Peejee] says: For how can you compete,
[Peejee] says: Being honor bred, with one
[Peejee] says: Who, were it proved he lies,
[Peejee] says: Were neither shamed in his own
[Peejee] says: Nor in his neighbor’s eyes?
[Peejee] says: Bred to a harder thing
[Peejee] says: Than Triumph, turn away
[Peejee] says: And like a laughing string
[Peejee] says: Whereon mad fingers play
[Peejee] says: Amid a place of stone,
[Peejee] says: Be secret and exult,
[Peejee] says: Because of all things known
[Peejee] says: That is most difficult.
Peejee opens her eyes and grins around the circle, "A bit.. odd, but some things are truly odd in life are they not?".
Veras simply smirks
Cogitatus looks at Peejee with a confused look on his face, but applauds anyway.
Cogitatus claps excitedly for Peejee.
Gebrannt claps excitedly for Peejee.
Sassandra shrugs slightly, then applauds.
Calithos smirks as well. "All things are odd."
Kathetia claps excitedly for Peejee.
Calithos claps excitedly.
Peejee silently takes her seat.
Livie claps excitedly.
Dahla applauds at Peejee. Bravo!
Auturgen grins and claps softly for the Night Elf.
Strand claps, looking thoughtful.
Arrish applauds at Peejee. Bravo!
[Cogitatus] says: Indeed, many things in life are odd.
Dahla smiles at Peejee.
Geril applauds. Bravo!
Barahn nods at Peejee.
[Elwynn] says: Odd and slightly sad.
[Dahla] says: Thank you so very much for that poem. I know it's got a lot of people thinking.
Delesta smiles and whispers to Peejee.
Dahla looks around the circle with a smile. "And who next has something to share? A story, a song, a poem?"
Calithos looks around. "If anyone doesn't mind..I have another of my...interesting stories."
Cogitatus smiles at Calithos.
Calithos stands, and starts shaking his sleeve.
Peejee grins over at Calithos and chuckles to herself almost at some private joke.
Gebrannt cheers at Calithos!
Dahla smiles at Cogitatus. "Please do. We've a time limit on stories tonight, though -- half an hour or it becomes a two-parter."
[Dahla] says: Just because we had some folk last night who got too tired before they could share their own.
Dahla smiles at Calithos.
Delesta looks around a bit, slowly pulling her knees up to her chest, listening.
[Dahla] says: Please, share with us.
Calithos shakes it for a minute, sand falling out. He makes a nice pile of sand close to the size of a bucket. "A souvenir along with the story."
[Calithos] says: Now.
Kathetia smiles at Calithos.
Arrish looks curiously at the sand.
Cogitatus blinks at Dahla in confusion, but returns his attention to Calithos.
[Calithos] says: I go to a hell of alot of the places our lovely world has to offer. Sadly, I decided to go to one of the places our world forgot. The Desert land of Silithus.
Auturgen corrects his slouching posture and sits more upright with his hands in his lap as he looks over to Calithos.
[Calithos] says: It's also where I got that nice bunch of sand.
Cogitatus nods solemnly at Calithos.
Calithos sifts it with his foot.
Livie looks curiously at the Ninja sitting near by, then at the sand pile
Cogitatus chuckles softly at the "sand" comment.
[Calithos] says: Now, what many of you know, the Cenarion Circle decided to stop being all "Regrow and be peaceful", to a more amusing. "Stomp the fuck outta the bugs." approach.
Peejee scoots back to sit next to Delesta.
Cogitatus laughs at Calithos.
[Calithos] says: I decided to go southeast to help a friend who thought it would be wise to go down and see if they can squash as many bugs as they could before the bugs squished them. That loveable old coot.
Cogitatus chuckles at Calithos.
[Calithos] says: Now, we went to the Cenarion Circle's 'sanctuary' for the Light Forsaken land, and we decided to stock up, then head out.
Gebrannt lies down.
[Calithos] says: We got out, and not even five minutes outside the Hold, a bunch of crazy people in cowls and robes attacked.
[Calithos] says: A dwarf, an Orc, and what I knew was no longer a living woman.
Dahla smiles at Angaelen.
[Geril] says: Well, she ought to be dead then, right?
Veras glances to Angaelen furrows his brow then returns his gaze to Calithos
[Calithos] says: That's what I thought.
[Cogitatus] says: ...or undead.
[Geril] says: No, no. "Make" her dead.
[Calithos] says: She then decided to show how spry she was by throwing a boulder at my horse.
Strand smiles to Angaelen.
Angaelen has the decency to look embarrassed for her tardiness.
Kathetia perks her brow a bit as she listens.
[Calithos] says: My horse then decided to be smart. And use me instead.
Cogitatus snickers at Calithos.
[Calithos] says: So I see three crazy robed people, next thing I know is I'm flying on what I thought was a meteor.
[Calithos] says: I landed about ten feet away. Let me tell you, sand IS a solid, and falling on it hurts just as bad as falling on the street.
Peejee turns to give Delesta a searching look.
[Calithos] says: So after getting my bearings, the rogue with us was already playing "Let's see who gets hit first" with the Orc, who carried a couple swords.
[Calithos] says: The undead woman tossing rocks was met with arrows, two in the ab. She fell down, then got up again, and threw a badly aimed boulder.
Calithos pats his side. "I got lucky and moved out of the way this time.
[Calithos] says: So we solved the crazy boulder one, and the Dwarf was chanting something. I didn't really feel like dealing with that one. So I threw grabbing the air, and closed my hand shut, shutting her up as well.
[Calithos] says: She then pulled out a dagger to swing at me. I proceeded to throw sand and run.
[Calithos] says: When there's nothing BUT sand, you're allowed to do that.
Cogitatus laughs at Calithos.
[Calithos] says: The rogue didn't get the first blow in, since we got to hear him scream from his left arm being cut off.
[Calithos] says: We decided that was a priority to get him away from the Sword slashing Orc.
[Calithos] says: So after losing one dwarf in the sand, tackling and Orc then freezing his skull, we went to see how our friend was.
[Calithos] says: It really didn't look pretty. Had to wash off the stumps before reattaching.
Calithos sighs. "Good conjured water gone to waste.""
[Calithos] says: Anyway. We finally got past the crazy people and got to what was best called a Hive. And by hive, I mean bug hive. This thing made the Keep look tiny.
[Calithos] says: So after warily getting close, a couple bees attacked us. This wouldn't be bad if they weren't the size of horses. And had stingers as big as swords.
Cogitatus smiles wryly, but remains silent.
[Calithos] says: That cost us about ten minutes of crazy flying things and us shooting at them without any real idea what to do.
Kathetia shudders at the thought of all those jumbo bugs.
[Calithos] says: Down they went, and on we got to.
Arrish tilts her head, listening, and makes a face at the description of the hive.
[Calithos] says: Now, we got inside, and the inside was this giant catacomb. Cave mouths going upwards, downwards, left, right, back, front, every which way. That gave us the understanding that they can fly and climb walls.
Angaelen holds her peace, though eyes evidently show she caught the gist of it.
[Calithos] says: And we picked one of the easier to take paths. Forward.
Xenkore approached the crowd with a weary look on his face, and tried to find an opening among them which he could populate.
[Calithos] says: So, after about I'd say a good hundred yards in, we found a lovely cave full of what could easily be called treasure.
Angaelen nods to Xenkore.
Dahla smiles and gives Xenkore a wave.
Geril waves enthusiastically to Xenkore.
[Calithos] says: Golden pearls the size of gnomes all over the cave. I mean, we thought we hit the motherlode, and by the Light we planned on getting all that gold.
Kathetia smiles at Xenkore.
Xenkore just retired to his usually spot against the tree, and leaned back against it, nodding with a smile to each Dahla, Geril, and Angaelen.
Arrish nods over to Xenkore before returning her attention to the story.
Livie ponders the thought of a pearl the size of herself
Cogitatus shivers slightly at the cold.
[Calithos] says: So, I decided to go grab one. But much to my surprise, they felt alot lighter than I thought. I personally didn't care. Gold's gold to me and I'm gonna swipe it.
Cogitatus chuckles at Calithos.
Xenkore noticed Delesta out of the corner of his eye and gave her a slight nod as well.
Angaelen seems to understand full well the value of such a pearl, allowing herself to slip further into his story, despite her missing the first bit.
[Cogitatus] says: Calithos seems to have nodded off.
Cogitatus casts a modified flame strike spell to strengthen the campfire.
Dahla rubs her chin thoughtfully. "Well..."
Cogitatus warms his hands by the fire.
[Sassandra] says: Can I hire you to keep my house warm?
Cogitatus lets out a long, drawn-out sigh.
[Cogitatus] says: Much better.
[Calithos] says: And so, I grabbed one. Very light gold eggs, too. Didn't really bother me much.
Cogitatus laughs at Sassandra.
[Calithos] says: Because damnit you don't look a gift horse in the mouth.
Cogitatus shoos Great Goretusk away. Be gone pest!
[Calithos] says: We all started collecting gold eggs. Some grabbed two at a time.
Gebrannt cheers at Auturgen!
[Calithos] says: I was on my fourth egg looting. Sadly, one of them started to move.
Cogitatus arches an eyebrow. "Move?"
[Cogitatus] says: Definitely not a good sign.
[Calithos] says: A bug burst forth. The size of a gnome.
[Calithos] says: ..I had three of those in my hand.
Angaelen grimaces at the thought.
[Cogitatus] says: That's also definitely not a good sign.
Livie shudders at the thought of a gnome-sized bug...
[Calithos] says: They also began to shake.
Calithos hrms, thinking. "What happened, I'll leave for next time. I've almost hit a half an hour, anyway."
Dahla smiles at Calithos.
Cogitatus applauds at Calithos. Bravo!
Calithos tips his hat, and quietly sits.
[Dahla] says: I think that's a wonderful place to leave us hanging.
Dahla applauds at Calithos. Bravo!
Sassandra smirks slyly at Calithos.
Kathetia applauds at Calithos. Bravo!
Cogitatus chuckles at Dahla.
Livie claps excitedly.
Angaelen nods, clapping politely.
Arrish applauds Calithos.
[Dahla] says: Thank you so much, Calithos!
Xenkore didn't say anything. His expression was unchanged.
[Cogitatus] says: I have to go hone my skills before I retire to bed, so I will bid you all a Good Night.
Cogitatus bows down graciously.
Dahla smiles at Cogitatus.
Veras stretches and cracks a few knuckles, he nods to Cogitatus
Xenkore nods at Cogitatus.
[Dahla] says: Sleep well, Cogitatus.
Deren waves at Cogitatus.
[Cogitatus] says: Thanks, you too.
Calithos tips his hat. "Good day"
Arrish waves at Cogitatus.
Cogitatus pats his horse. "Come along, Vertigo."
Dahla looks around the circle. "Now, who next has something to share with us?"
Cogitatus waves at Arrish.
Peejee reaches over and pats Calithos' shoulder, "Good job hun."
Kathetia waves goodbye to Cogitatus. Farewell!
[Veras] says: I still have my promised story.
Dahla smiles at Veras.
Arrish looks curiously to the ninja.
[Veras] says: One of legend and lore and all that.
[Dahla] says: Well then, gent all in black... please do share.
[Veras] says: Excellent!
Veras stands and dusts himself off
Angaelen nods, intrigued at the dark clothed man.
[Veras] says: Last time, I spoke of the tale of our Second Moon, Blue Child, and how it was formed in our sky.
Veras lets his eyes trail about
[Veras] says: This time, I am going to touch a topic more at home, less shrouded in myth.
Strand listens with interest.
[Veras] says: I will regale the tale of Lothar's Death, and his Orders last charge.
Veras takes a deep breath
Arrish raises her eyebrows and listens.
Peejee quirks an eyebrow before a wry grin creeps across her lips.
[Veras] says: Who here knows the story of the end of the Second war with the Orcs?
Elwynn raises her hand!
Veras looks to Elwynn
Angaelen leans forward, clearly abandoning herself to the tale.
Calithos half heartedly raises his hand.
[Veras] says: If you could summarize up to the Orcs retreat to Black rock?
Xenkore didn't make any moves, but he knew the history well, himself.
[Veras] says: Be sure to keep it brief.
Veras winks slyly at Elwynn.
[Elwynn] says: Well I don't know it all, see
[Elwynn] says: But my father served on the lines, and that's all he would ever talk about.
Kathetia moves her eyes from the man in black to the woman who gave the tale earlier.
Veras smiles, nods and listens
[Elwynn] says: We'd be cooking, and he'd be like "well, on the front, we did it so..."
[Elwynn] says: Or perhaps we didn't reap faster enough
[Elwynn] says: Or finish our plates
Veras laughs
Arrish looks curiously from Elwynn to Veras.
[Elwynn] says: Or... every simple mistake, and he'd relate it to the war!
[Elwynn] says: Jeeez
Auturgen slowly gets to his feet and exits as quietly as he came.
Strand stirs slightly.
[Veras] says: Not to cut you short but I am more looking for a summary of war events; I can fill in I guess.
[Veras] says: The Orcs were at the gate to Lordaeron, then the siege on our city was broken.
[Veras] says: They were pushed all the way to this continent, the southern one, to their base in Blackrock
[Veras] says: Where they still rest today.
[Veras] says: Lothar, the head of the Alliance, the last of the Arathorian line; was the one who led our troops this far.
Gebrannt kneels down.
[Veras] says: The gathered army of the alliance stood.... probably around here, and blackrock loomed in the distance.
[Veras] says: None wanted to charge it, none wanted to get anywhere near it in fact. The Horde was beaten, but not broken
Arrish listens very quietly, her expression serious now.
[Veras] says: So Lothar, took those most loyal to him; the Paladins under his command.
[Veras] says: And left with them, riding to the mountain.
[Veras] says: It is said he and his men stood before it, outnumbered hundreds to one.
Dahla cups her chin in her palms, propping elbows on knees as she listens carefully.
[Veras] says: And with a voice like a hammer he called out, he called out to Doomhammer; the Warchief, and challenged him to single combat.
[Veras] says: The Orcish chief... accepted.
Veras grins
[Veras] says: The history books tell of the battle in great detail, and great exaggeration.
[Veras] says: Human and Orc entangled in battle, the two armies, just watching.
[Veras] says: Lothar, however, fell. He did not win that day; but the fact few know, is that *this* was not a surprise to some.
Arrish frowns slightly, listening intently.
[Veras] says: Lothar had spoken to his trusted ally, Tyreleus; also known as the general of the Nethergarde expedition, but that, once again, is another tale.
[Veras] says: One of his knights, Lothar had told him that he *intended* to die.
Peejee quirks an eyebrow, this is indeed news to her.
Angaelen nods, intrigued by the macabre prospect.
[Veras] says: Die the death of a martyr, to give the alliance a hero.
[Veras] says: However; one fact struck Tyreleus, as he watched from a nearby hill.
[Veras] says: After Lothar died; after the martyr was had; the Orcs, blood thirsty and moral boosted, tore apart every man who was willing to Follow Lothar up to the Mountain that fateful day.
Arrish glances questioningly over to Dahla.
[Veras] says: Tyreleus; supposedly, is one of the few men who will frown with distaste; when the Alliances sovereign hero, Lothar, is mentioned.
Veras falls silent, then sits again
[Veras] says: And that is the tale of the battle at Blackrock.
[Veras] says: Perhaps, not quite the same as you had heard it before.
Veras smirks, then leans back and lets his eyes wander
Dahla sits quietly, not entirely certain if she should -- or can -- applaud after that.
Sassandra quietly claps for Veras.
[Kathetia] says: Well spoken sir.
Gebrannt smiles at Veras.
Arrish nods, glancing to Strand, and then says to Veras, quietly, "Thank you for the telling."
Veras returns his eyes to the circle and nods
Gebrannt claps quietly
Strand 's expression is deeply abstracted.
[Veras] says: Perhaps next week, I will tell of Sunstrider; I haven't decided yet.
Dahla takes a deep breath, nodding to Veras. "Thank you for your spin on the tale, sir."
Peejee hrms quietly to herself, then pulls out a small leather-bound journal from one of her packs.
Calithos tips his hat, smirking. "I remember my father's opinion on that."
Shaun makes quick apologies and slinks away.
Strand waves to Shaun.
Arrish glances back at Shaun.
Angaelen nods.
Angaelen gives a slight finger wave to Shaun.
Arrish murmurs, "Good night, Shaun."
Sassandra looks over to the gap to her left.
[Dahla] says: Now, would someone have something to follow? Maybe a bit more light-hearted, after bugs and wars?
Angaelen looks expectantly at Strand.
[Strand] says: The question to ask, of course, is whether or not his men were willing to die for their cause.
Strand shrugs very slightly.
Xenkore smirked a at Dahla's comment, not having any tale of his own that wasn't on that subject. That was why he never spoke at these gatherings.
Arrish nods a little to Strand, but she has a very neutral expression.
Kathetia looks to Strand before thinking the matter over herself, then lowering her eyes to the ground.
Strand then says, softly, "Shaggiest."
Veras looks to strand and shrugs
[Veras] says: Would have been nice... to given them a choice, eh?
Dahla flicks a quiet smile to Strand. "I could."
Veras looks to Dahla and nods
[Veras] says: I think a shaggy dog might lift the mood a bit.
Dahla clears her throat, giving a crooked smile. "So for a long time, I was with the Alliance Blues -- the Medics."
Arrish laces her hands together, looking to Dahla.
[Dahla] says: No talent in Healing, but the ability to sew flesh and set bones and deal with the more everyday bumps and scrapes people deal with.
Angaelen looks to Dahla, having noticed the strange calm having developed.
Strand nods to Dahla.
[Dahla] says: When the Blues were recalled to Stormwind, we both had a shortage of actual Healers and at the same time, a small excess of Blues. So we wound up working in some jobs that often were manned by nurses, businessmen, and so on.
Xenkore turned his eyes to Dahla then, and listened as she spoke. As he grew more relaxed, he closed his eyes, but still heard the tale being told.
Dahla looks around with a grin. "Well wouldn't you know, I managed to squeeze out of bedpan duty, and instead was sent to man the Pharmacy."
Arrish shifts her weight to balance on an arm, smirking very faintly at Dahla.
Angaelen nods, this being a new glimpse to the Azerothian side of the last Great war ... bemused at the aside, though.
[Dahla] says: We carried everything from bandages to splints, salves and elixirs, a hodgepodge of medical equipment either sold or rented out to people.
[Dahla] says: Well, the first morning I had Pharmacy duty... Moon as my witness, the rooster in the farmhouse I was sleeping in at the time (what with Stormwind being overcrowded in the Barracks by blues)... dropped dead.
[Dahla] says: Before he crowed.
[Dahla] says: So... I woke up late.
Geril grins, "Of course it did."
Strand looks amused.
Dahla nods at Geril, rolling her eyes. "Of course. Fate, I tell you."
Angaelen shakes her head at the direction she thinks this is going ...
Vindicis walks up to the group quietly.
[Dahla] says: So now I'm late. I figure, I'll grab some fresh bread on the way into Stormwind for breakfast. But as I'm leaving my small rooms in the farmhouse by a separate door to saddle my horse...
[Dahla] says: I realized I'd left both keys to the house, and saddle, in my rooms.
Angaelen gives a discreet wave of the fingers towards Vindicis.
[Dahla] says: And the door had locked behind me.
Gebrannt gazes over at the fire, suddenly feeling cold.
Vindicis nods slightly.
Arrish nods quietly to Vindicis, and then gives Dahla an amused look.
Dahla breathes a deep sigh. "So I managed to scramble up to a window on the second floor, squeeze myself in, retrieve my keys and my saddle, and get underway."
Vindicis bows quickly.
[Dahla] says: So now, I'm late, and I'm not going to have enough time for breakfast, so I'm hungry.
Gebrannt kneels before Dahla.
[Dahla] says: I ride Franklin as quickly as I can to try and make up for lost time... and would you believe it?
[Dahla] says: I get pulled over by a Crimson Hound for speeding.
Sassandra smirks slyly at Dahla.
Gebrannt chuckles at Dahla.
Geril laughs at Dahla.
Angaelen sighs at Dahla, a sympathetic look on her face.
[Dahla] says: So the fine took every silver out of my pocket before I could continue at a slightly less breakneck pace.
Kathetia grins widely at Dahla.
[Dahla] says: So now I'm late, I'm hungry, and I
[Dahla] says: Am broke.
Arrish mutters something about 'fines.'
Strand looks sympathetic.
Peejee snickers quietly to herself.
Dahla sighs, shaking her head with frustration. "I finally get INTO Stormwind, and three blocks from the Pharmacy... Franklin throws a shoe."
Angaelen winces.
[Dahla] says: So I had to walk him the rest of the way. Because I didn't have TIME to get him to a blacksmith, so he was just going to have to eat hay outside the Pharmacy until the end of the day.
[Dahla] says: Not a bad thing for him, but I'm already really late. And now I'm finally starting to get annoyed.
[Dahla] says: So now I'm late, I'm hungry, I'm broke... and annoyed.
Vindicis walks slowly around the circle and takes a seat between Arrish and Angaelen.
Strand glances over at Vindicis.
Arrish gives Vindicis a faint smile before returning her gaze to Dahla.
[Dahla] says: By the time I get to the pharmacy, there's a whole LINE of people waiting outside. They see me in my Blues and start howling they've been waiting for hours (even thought the Pharmacy was only supposed to open ten minutes ago) and they needed their things.
Vindicis smiles softly, turning his gaze to the storyteller.
Calithos listens, hrming.
Dahla groans softly. "So I get the place unlocked, and there are people EVERYWHERE. All shoving to the minor protection of the counter I'm behind."
Angaelen grins death's head style, imagining the scene.
Peejee chuckles softly.
[Dahla] says: And people are shouting and yelling demanding they be served first because their problems are More Important, and they need this Right Away...
Arrish shakes her head and sighs.
[Dahla] says: So now, I'm late, I'm hungry, I'm broke, I'm annoyed, and I'm starting to... lose my patience.
Dahla takes a deep breath, just as she did on that day.
Angaelen half stifles a groan ...
[Dahla] says: I went to make change for someone... and I drop the coppers all over the floor.
[Dahla] says: So, I bend over to start picking them up.
Dahla isn't in front of anyone, so she can safely emulate to a degree, gathering the rolling coins.
[Dahla] says: And as I stood up --
Dahla gestures. "I whacked my head on the underside of the counter."
[Dahla] says: So now, I'm...
Elwynn chuckles, ha ha
Arrish makes a face.
Angaelen winces ... "oh my ..."
Dahla points at Arrish.
[Geril] says: Too agitated to repeat everything?
[Strand] says: Hungry, broke, annoyed, losing your patience...
Strand counts on his fingers, then looks expectant.
Arrish laughs. "Late. You forgot late."
Kathetia grins wickedly.
Dahla nods, grinning widely at Strand. "Yes! And Arrish has it, late too."
Angaelen looks quizzically at Arrish, following Dahla's finger.
[Strand] says: That's usual.
[Strand] says: For me, I mean.
[Arrish] says: Also, in pain.
[Dahla] says: And now I'm HURT.
Vindicis chuckles softly and looks about the crowd, taking notice of everyone.
[Dahla] says: So I stagger backwards... into a wall full of potions and salves.
[Dahla] says: And they fall to the ground.
[Dahla] says: And shatter.
Arrish covers her eyes.
Dahla heaves a deep sigh.
[Veras] says: Slick.
Arrish laughs, though it's clear she's trying not to.
Angaelen nods, unable to do not but laugh .... shaking her head, whilst it hangs down.
[Dahla] says: So now, I'm...
Arrish says, muffled, "Late."
Angaelen tries to stifle her laugh ... but mostly unsuccessful "Hungry"
[Strand] says: Tired.
[Angaelen] says: Broke.
Dahla nods encouragingly, grinning.
[Geril] says: Late.
[Gebrannt] says: Annoyed!
[Kathetia] says: Hungry.
[Strand] says: Losing your patience.
[Peejee] says: Hurt
[Vindicis] says: And wet?
[Strand] says: Damp?
[Arrish] says: Messy?
[Veras] says: Potioned?
[Peejee] says: Moist!
[Calithos] says: I say Black and Blue.
[Vindicis] says: Salved!
[Angaelen] says: Doused?
Dahla points at everyone who speaks up. "I'm ALL of those!"
[Strand] says: Soaked.
[Calithos] says: Wet.
Kathetia lets out a hearty chuckle.
Vindicis laughs softly.
[Dahla] says: And at this time, someone taps me on the shoulder...
[Dahla] says: And she says to me, "I don't understand the instructions on this rectal thermometer!"
Angaelen covers her mouth ...
Dahla shakes her head. "And believe me. I told her how to use it."
Arrish makes a choking noise.
Gebrannt bows out for a moment, pickles whining to be fed, and very angry, and Big Geb is without food!
Calithos wonders.
Peejee 's jaw drops open.
Kathetia winces and closes her eyes shut.
[Veras] says: Ouch.
Arrish makes a louder choking noise.
Geril laughs a bit too much.
Calithos snickers.
Dahla clears her throat and grins. "And I never had to work at the Pharmacy again."
Angaelen tries not to gag, face still buried.
Strand looks reproachful.
Arrish starts laughing out loud.
Sassandra chuckles softly.
Angaelen grits her teeth.
[Dahla] says: Now, who'd like to go next?
Vindicis winces, feeling the flames licking at his robes, and moves away slightly.
Arrish smiles gratefully at Angaelen and leans gratefully toward the warmth.
Strand looks thoughtful, then scotches backwards.
Dahla grins around the circle. "I know folks are shy and all, but we've ears eager to hear."
[Deren] says: Dahla if no one else will.. I can try.
[Dahla] says: Deren, I'd love to hear something from you. Please.
Strand looks interestedly over towards Deren, after another glance at Vindicis.
Arrish smiles, looking to Deren.
[Deren] says: Forgive me if I am slow I haven’t told this story in a long while.
Vindicis smiles warmly at Deren.
[Deren] says: This is Warriors tale and has help in some bad times
Dahla smiles as she listens to Deren.
[Deren] says: but first I must ask a question
Vindicis looks quizzically up at Deren.
[Deren] says: could any of you be 'the one'?
Angaelen looks quizzically at Deren.
Veras quirks an eyebrow
Arrish tilts her head, puzzled.
Kathetia raises her brow a bit.
Cupris remains silent.
[Sassandra] says: I doubt it.
Vindicis ponders the question.
[Deren] says: Could you keep Hope when everyone around you has lost all of it?
[Geril] says: Sure, I'll hold on to it for a while.
Arrish gives Geril an amused look.
[Deren] says: could you fight till every last drop of energy is gone from you body?
[Geril] says: That doesn't take long, so... Yes.
Vindicis nods slightly more to himself then anyone.
Angaelen holds back her chuckle to Geril, before glancing soberly at Arrish.
Calithos 's eyeball is bouncing up and down on his hat.
[Deren] says: could you stand when everything and everyone around you has fallen?
[Geril] says: Hmmm. Probably. Don't know how long I'd keep standing, though.
[Deren] says: This is a tail of a warrior
Peejee hugs Kitty.
Angaelen closes her eyes, contemplating the questions.
Arrish goes rather more serious, listening closely to Deren.
Strand watches Deren, focused.
Geril mumbles, "Or someone who knows how to stay out of trouble."
[Deren] says: The only one I have every know that come close to being 'the one'
Calithos 's giant cat shaped eyeball is hugged.
[Deren] says: coming home from far place the warrior walk the path over the hills to his small town and lovely wife
Calithos looks over. "You two should actually sit down and listen."
[Deren] says: when he gets to the top he look for the town far in horizon
Peejee scoots over so the spiky shoulders don't hit her in the face.
[Deren] says: and he see only back smoke
[Deren] says: his small town was attacked. with nothing but he sword and shield he run all the way there
Veras glances over his shoulder
Angaelen looks up at Arrish.
Baydon is getting kind of hot.
Vindicis reaches up and pulls softly on Arrish's robe hoping she will sit as he cannot see.
[Deren] says: but he was to late the damage was done and the attacker where gone
Calithos has two crazy people with him.
Strand glances over at Vindicis.
Bachstail blushes at Calithos.
Calithos wonders how long Baydon will cook before he moves.
Arrish looks embarrassed and settles down.
Strand returns his focus to Deren.
Vindicis chuckles softly, putting a soft hand on her shoulder briefly.
[Deren] says: he runs to his house only to find in on fire. he breaks down the door only to find his wife on the floor
[Deren] says: he grabs her and carries her out
[Deren] says: barely alive
Arrish gives Vindicis a somewhat startled look, then looks to Deren, frowning faintly.
Ewane takes a seat
Dahla listens quietly, intent on Deren's story.
Vindicis raises a slight eyebrow and shifts back.
[Deren] says: with her last breath she tells him it was the evil warlord in north, every man then every woman tried to stop him but his power grows to great
[Deren] says: no arrows could touch him no sword could cut him not even fire could burn him
Arrish frowns more at Deren.
[Deren] says: and with that and one last kiss she passes away
Gebrannt sneaks back in, Pickles finally quiet down with a full belly
Angaelen sighs, finding this an .... "interesting" turn of events ... though a bit unsettling.
Slotmane applauds at Deren. Bravo!
[Deren] says: Angry now in his eyes and pain in his heart he yells ' I will find you and I will kill you'
Bachstail clenches
[Deren] says: leaving his town behind him as it burn completely to the ground he heads to the of the oldest person he knows
[Deren] says: the great seer
[Deren] says: As he reaches he door it opens and she is there waiting
Bachstail clenches
[Deren] says: She says I know why you come and what you ask
[Deren] says: but what you may not want to here is
Strand listens, rapt.
Vindicis nods slowly to Ewane, noticing the man beside him for the first time.
Angaelen shifts.
Ewane smiles and nods slowly to Vindicis
Cupris glances sidelong at Veras for a moment, then returns his attention to the storyteller.
[Deren] says: the shield that protect him is not from this world and can not be broken with anything you wield in this form
Arrish rubs her forehead.
[Deren] says: the warrior angry at this and dose not listen well says back in angry voice I will find a way he will die.
Asherrean sits down and nods to those around the circle.
Peejee looks over her shoulder and grins at Ash, scooting back to sit next to him.
Vindicis notices the newcomer out of the corner of his eye and flashes a quick smile.
Arrish glances back over her right shoulder, starts a bit, and then smiles faintly to Vindicis and Ewane.
Ewane smiles and nods to Arrish
[Deren] says: I know says but your body wont kill him. and then he gives him a sword this sword will bind to you in this world and the next as long as you don’t lose faith. you will find a way but only when its too late for you
Angaelen raises an eyebrow to Arrish a moment, before glancing behind her for a moment...
Peejee 's eyes go wide as she glances over at Ash for a moment.
[Deren] says: its your choice to face him but nothing you do in this world will hurt him
Angaelen turns face forward again.
[Deren] says: he leave going to find some men to face the warlord
Asherrean meets Peejee's glance with a tired grin.
[Deren] says: but the story of the attack have be spread by this time and he can only find 2 men to help him
[Deren] says: a
[Deren] says: hunter and a paladin
Peejee grimaces then nods.
Strand looks relieved.
[Deren] says: from there a team of 3 they head out
Calithos sits..thinking.
[Deren] says: after they give as far as they can riding
Angaelen looks questioningly at the pull on her hem from Arrish.
Arrish squints at the placement, shrugs a bit, and settles back down to listen.
Peejee nods at Asherrean again.
Strand stretches out his feet contentedly.
Xenkore breathes lightly, his chest slowly rising and falling as his eyes are still closed, though he is still listening to the stories.
[Deren] says: they then climb for 6 hours the rest of the way to where the dark warlord tower sits
Vindicis pulls his cowl around his head tightly.
Peejee stands up and silently excuses herself from the circle.
Asherrean me stands and gives an apologetic glance to the rest of the circle.
[Deren] says: at the gate the warrior cry out for the warlord to come fight him
Arrish glances over to Asherrean and Peejee, nodding politely.
[Deren] says: the gate opens....
[Deren] says: a dark voice is heard do you really think you can destroy me you are a waste of my time
Gebrannt kneels before Rabbit.
Vindicis shudders and thinks about what he would say back.
[Deren] says: already tired from the climb the 2 other gather all the strength they can as the and the warrior watch as a army of demons come out the gate
Deren waves at Dahla.
Dahla smiles at Deren.
Calithos hrms.
Xenkore flirts with Veras.
Dahla smiles and waves over to Trinn.
[Deren] says: is everyone back?
Xenkore thanks Veras.
Strand smiles to Trinn.
Trinn waves back, then taps Strand on the shoulder.
Calithos looks up. "I am."
Angaelen looks about.
Arrish smiles warmly to Trinn.
[Deren] says: Where did I stop?
[Gebrannt] says: I believe it was after hearing the voice from the gates?
Sassandra shrugs at Deren. Who knows?
[Deren] says: Ah, right the 3 gather all the strength as the warlord's minions came out in groups.
[Deren] says: They fought of every single one for 3 hours
[Deren] says: after that all 3 could barely stand the warlord show him self to do the work him self
[Deren] says: the hunter pulled his bow with out question and fired
[Deren] says: the arrow was true but when it hit him it was like hitting a stone wall
Angaelen gives a discreet finger-wave to Miss Duvall.
Gebrannt starts roasting a sausage over the fire, eyes glued to Deren.
Trinn smiles at Angaelen in return before turning her attention back to Deren.
Dhemlan ties an arrow to a string and neatly steals Gervrannt's sausage, munching happily.
[Deren] says: the pally drew his mace and with every last bit the energy he could pull and with the light by his side he swung at the warlord
Gebrannt notices his sausage is gone, and just glares at Pickles....
[Deren] says: but with finger the warlord pick him up and threw him across the field and almost over the side of the hill
Dhemlan wonders why he's glaring at pickles....
Ewane arches a brow
Dhemlan gasps at Deren.
[Deren] says: the warrior yell at the warlord I will kill you
Gebrannt whispers to Baydon, "Where’s the Dwarf to save the day?"
Dhemlan waves at Tigriss.
Sassandra glances over to the newcomers
[Deren] says: the warlord said back fool no man can touch me I am protect by a spell of the sprit world
Baydon smirks at Gebrannt, shrugging.
Dhemlan bows before Tigriss.
Tigriss waves at Dhemlan.
Gebrannt waves at Brighde.
Dhemlan bows before Brighde.
Dahla smiles at Brighde.
Tigriss greets Dhemlan with a hearty hello!
Gebrannt waves at Tigriss.
[Deren] says: and at that moment he knew what the seer meant.
Brighde greets everyone with a hearty hello!
[Deren] says: it was too
[Tigriss] says: Greetings all
[Deren] says: late
Tigriss sits to listen to the tale
Calithos tips his hat to the elves and Dwarven woman. "Greetings."
[Deren] says: the warlord cast one spell killing the warrior right there
Ewane taps Vindicis on the shoulder
Vindicis stands slowly and follows him.
Arrish glances back and nods in a polite farewell.
[Deren] says: the hurter and pally almost dead gave up all hope
[Deren] says: and was ready
Angaelen raises an eyebrow at the two figures in white leaving ...
[Deren] says: to die
Dhemlan takes up a position to his ladies' right.
[Deren] says: but then the warrior sprite arose, and drew his sword that was bound to him in this world and next
[Deren] says: and with one swing
[Deren] says: kill the warlord
[Deren] says: and to this day
[Deren] says: he is the only one
[Deren] says: that didn’t lose faith even when it was too late
[Deren] says: thank you
Brighde applauds. Bravo!
[Dhemlan] says: Here here!
Gebrannt cheers at Deren!
Dhemlan cheers at Deren!
Arrish applauds at Deren. Bravo!
Dhemlan claps excitedly for Deren.
Kathetia blinks a bit then smiles.
Dahla applauds at Deren. Bravo!
Gebrannt claps excitedly for Deren.
Kathetia claps excitedly for Deren.
Geril applauds. Bravo!
Tigriss claps excitedly for Deren.
Brighde cheers!
Deren bows down graciously.
Angaelen blinks, and applauds cordially ...
Calithos looks back, and pets Asadi "And where is Nukumi, Asadi?"
Dahla smiles at Deren.
Strand claps thoughtfully.
[Dahla] says: Thank you so much for your warrior's tale, Deren.
[Dahla] says: Now, I know we have a few stories left...
Calithos looks over. "I see."
Arrish gives the lion a curious look.
Strand raises his hand.
Angaelen mouths the word "Mellor" to Strand.
Dahla smiles at Strand.
Angaelen smiles at Strand.
Trinn smiles at Strand. "Thank you for waiting."
[Dahla] says: Oh, I think Mellor would be wonderful. Please, Strand.
Strand grins happily at Trinn.
Arrish flashes a brief, warm, smile to Trinn.
Veras glances to Strand, and raises an eyebrow
[Strand] says: My father used to tell me stories about a field mouse. In fact, about the cleverest field mouse.
Calithos 's eyeball, Kitty, climbs out of his skull, and sit s on top of his hat. It looks at Nukumi, and goes "Groo"
Dhemlan settles his back against the log and listens with interest
Arrish glances over at Calithos, shudders faintly, and edges minutely away.
[Strand] says: This is one of the stories he used to tell me; it's about the time Mellor decided to learn...
[Strand] says: But that would be telling.
Gebrannt waves at Kaith.
Trinn grins.
Dhemlan chuckles at Strand.
Nukumi gives Calithos a cautious glance, wondering what he's had to drink lately.
Dahla raises her brows and settles in to listen.
[Strand] says: So, one day, the cleverest field mouse in all of Stormwind -- that's Mellor -- was lounging about in Old Town.
Calithos always drinks Moonberry juice.
Angaelen smiles to Strand, expectant for one of the tales that had been so absent of late.
[Strand] says: When he saw something green and short ducking into a building, trying not to be seen.
Arrish muffles a laugh and leans back, relaxing somewhat as she listens to Strand.
Nukumi raises an eyebrow and thinks Calithos drinks more than just Moonberry juice.
[Strand] says: Some people would try and follow the short green thing, but Mellor's clever, after all.
[Strand] says: He doesn't have to follow a goblin to know what it is, nor does he have to follow it to know it's up to something crafty.
Calithos drank something from a gnome and lived. He's hardcore.
[Strand] says: And while crafty is good, it's not as good as clever, so Mellor figured he could outsmart the goblin and harvest the resulting profit.
Strand holds up his hand. "But one problem existed. Mellor didn't speak Goblin, or Goblinese, or Gobbish, or any other such dialect."
Vindicis takes his former seat behind Arrish.
Nukumi observes the group skeptically.
Bachstail blows Nukumi a kiss.
Bodhran greets Wren warmly.
Angaelen looks a bit skeptical at the prospect of beating a goblin at its own game.
Nukumi blows Bachstail a kiss.
Deren waves at Wren.
Gebrannt blows Pickles a kiss.
Deren waves at Bodhran.
[Strand] says: So he set out to learn Goblin as the necessary first step in his plan.
Bachstail takes off his helmet
Dahla smiles at Bodhran.
Dahla smiles at Wren.
Bodhran smiles at Dahla.
Vindicis looks up to Strand, a quizzical look on his face.
Ewane arches a brow
Dahla reaches back to give Bodhran's foot a pat, before looking back up to Strand for the story.
Angaelen nods, it making as much sense to her as she can imagine a field mouse may have ... or maybe more?
Wren quietly waves hello before turning to listen to the story
[Strand] says: He's a good planner, so he came up with a method immediately. He planned to voyage down to Booty Bay and study the goblins in their native habitat to intuit the language.
Vindicis removes his cowl.
Nukumi 's pet, Asadi, sniffs Slotmane's crotch.
Trinn looks up at the cat breathing heavily on her shoulder.
Bachstail ponders Asadi's actions.
[Strand] says: The trip was no great matter for a field mouse as clever as Mellor; he snuck onto a gryphon and was there in no time. Fly, fly, little field mouse!
Calithos leers 'Nukumi, your cat is acting up again."
Nukumi 's pet, Asadi, licks the Human's hair.
Bachstail clenches
Strand mimes a field mouse gripping onto a gryphon's mane.
Angaelen giggles at Strand.
Trinn grins at Strand.
Dhemlan smiles at Strand.
Nukumi raises an eyebrow at Calithos, "What do you expect? I only got him last week. Not enough time to train him yet."
[Strand] says: And once there, it was easy enough for him to find a goblin to study. Perhaps too easy, for... well.
[Strand] says: Do you think this clever plan of Mellor's succeeded?
Strand glances around the circle.
Bachstail clenches
Tigriss nods
[Trinn] says: Alas.
[Nukumi] says: Come, Asadi.
Dahla grins wickedly at Strand.
[Dahla] says: It's Mellor, so... no.
Kathetia smiles as she listens to the tale, glancing at the cat now and then.
Dhemlan nods at Strand.
[Trinn] says: Poor Mellor.
Arrish shakes her head to Strand.
[Arrish] says: Of course not!
Calithos leers a bit. "Still, teaching him SOME patience helps."
Bachstail brushes up against Calithos and farts loudly.
Bachstail blushes at Calithos.
Angaelen looks worriedly, hoping Trinn did not see the bacon-rending. "Not likely at first, I should think ... clever or no ..."
Calithos quietly resists strangling Bach for his antics.
Bachstail loves Calithos.
Strand sighs sadly. "No, he didn't. The goblins were happy to be studied; in fact, they explained to Mellor that it happened all the time."
[Strand] says: And that there was a small studying fee.
Slotmane wonders if someone can fire up a flame
Dahla grins wickedly at Strand.
Strand holds his hands wide apart, to indicate the size of the fee.
[Dahla] says: Darned goblins.
Angaelen groans ... "Everything a price with them ..."
Vindicis snickers.
[Geril] says: Their language is called "Gold".
Arrish sighs, shaking her head.
[Strand] says: Two days later, Mellor was too broke to buy a ride back to Stormwind, and had to hitch a ride on a paladin's hearthstone.
[Geril] says: Typical goblin
Strand nods to Geril.
Angaelen murmurs ... "Perhaps Mellor needs to learn to haggle ..."
Slotmane wonders if someone can strike a campfire please
Bachstail lies down.
[Trinn] says: A paladin helped him. That's good.
Arrish murmurs to Angaelen, "That's another story."
[Strand] says: Perhaps. But he was not discouraged; he immediately set out on his second plan.
[Strand] says: Um. The paladin didn't help him on /purpose/, exactly...
Trinn tilts her head.
Angaelen nods, before looking quizzically at Strand.
[Strand] says: But that's another story too.
Slotmane thanks everyone.
Dahla absolutely didn't run through.
Ewane sighs "Paladins are always misunderstood"
Deren bows before Dahla.
[Strand] says: After some thought, Mellor realized what the source of all knowledge in Stormwind was.
Arrish glances back, giving Ewane a small, ironic smile.
Deren slow backs away to take his leave
Tigriss wonders if the goblin that sparked this journey initially was still waiting patiently in Old Town for Mellor's return
Calithos looks back at Bach. "I think some are insane, personally."
Calithos looks back, leaning back a bit.
Ewane looks down at Arrish and grins slightly, then looks back up to Strand
Dahla ventures a bit dubiously, "The mage tower?"
[Bachstail] says: Not as a bad as a half demonic priest.
Strand waves a hand. "The library. So he took himself to the great library in the Keep, having procured a list of Goblin glossaries along the way."
Calithos snickers.
Slotmane gooses Nukumi
Bachstail lies down.
Angaelen nods.
Tigriss thinks .. not to be confused with Gosslin Gobblaries
[Strand] says: His plan was flawless; he intended to read every Goblin language book available, and by the end of the night he'd speak flawless Gobbish.
[Strand] says: Twelve hours later... well, I'll ask all of you.
Angaelen suddenly hopes there were no goblin crockery books there ...
Ewane smiles amusedly at the story
Arrish murmurs, amusedly, "Flawless."
Slotmane smiles.
[Strand] says: Do you think, at the end of his studies, he'd learned the language he sought?
[Gebrannt] says: Of course!
Tigriss has read one once ... 101 ways to wok your dog.. er .. mouse
Trinn sighs heavily and shakes her head.
Arrish shakes her head, glancing at Trinn.
Strand shakes his head sadly. "He left something vital out of his plan. Namely, coffee."
Dahla winces and shakes her head.
Angaelen chuckles at Strand.
Kathetia grins wickedly at Strand.
Slotmane giggles at Strand.
[Strand] says: A mere four hours into his regimen of study, after he'd learned the first /quarter/ of the goblin alphabet, he fell asleep. And didn't wake up until the morning.
Dhemlan chuckles at Strand.
Vindicis laughs softly.
[Strand] says: He did try to use the knowledge he'd gained, but with only a quarter of the alphabet available, he couldn't get past greetings. A pity.
Strand looks noble. "But Mellor was not daunted."
[Dhemlan] says: Good mouse..
[Strand] says: He immediately -- after all, he was wide awake and rested -- headed off to execute his next plan.
Strand grins at Dhemlan. "The cleverest mouse."
Dahla grins at Strand as she listens.
Kathetia over heated by the fire, she moves back a bit.
[Strand] says: Scurry, scurry, little field mouse!
Dhemlan grins wickedly at Strand.
Arrish looks amused, and murmurs, "Irrepressible."
[Strand] says: There's a well-known magical principle.
Trinn mouths the "scurry scurry" line along with Strand.
[Strand] says: Well known, at least, among mages and Mellor.
Angaelen grins, "Not to mention indefatigable..."
[Strand] says: It's called the sympathetic principle; in order to execute certain magical techniques, you want to sort of simulate the result.
[Strand] says: So Mellor went to a costume shop he knew, and convinced the proprietor to rent him a costume for an exceedingly low fee.
Angaelen asides ... "I wonder why ..."
Arrish starts giggling.
[Strand] says: Mellor was owed a favor.
Ewane smiles and shakes his head
[Strand] says: Now, this costume was of course a goblin costume.
Angaelen mouths "Another story" to Arrish, questioning.
[Strand] says: Which fit Mellor like a /charm/ -- goblins are small, and so are field mice.
Dahla nods as she listens.
Ewane murmurs softly and smiles. "Oh no..."
Trinn looks startled at the size comparison, then nods.
Gebrannt kneels down.
Ewane chuckles softly
Kaith glances at the large cat sitting beside him, arching a brow slightly.
Sylvanda cuddles up against Kaith.
Slotmane hugs Nukumi.
Strand mimes a field mouse putting on a goblin costume. "He put the costume on, and set out to find his goblin, confident that while wearing the goblin mask he would be able to speak Gobbish or Goblinese or any dialect of Goblin he liked."
Angaelen giggles at Strand.
Vindicis blinks at Strand.
Strand blinks at Vindicis.
Gebrannt grins wickedly at Strand.
[Strand] says: Well, have you ever put on a goblin costume and tried to speak Goblin? Bears investigation.
Vindicis raises an eyebrow at Strand.
[Strand] says: However, this story is about Mellor, and whether or not his clever plan succeeded. And in the end --
[Strand] says: But I forget myself. What do /you/ think? Did he successfully use the costume to communicate?
Trinn smiles slowly.
Strand looks around the circle, curiously.
Dahla grins, shaking her head. "Oh no."
Sassandra gives Strand an uncertain look
[Trinn] says: I'm sure the costume looked well on him.
[Strand] says: It did, and it was a solid plan, except for one thing.
Angaelen murmurs ... "Would the goblin know the difference, with some of their ... hobbies ...?"
Strand shrugs helplessly. "He couldn't find the goblin he'd seen in the first place."
[Strand] says: Now, Mellor is a clever field mouse, but he knows when it's time to go home to his warm cozy nest.
Vindicis shakes his head slowly.
Arrish giggles softly.
[Strand] says: And this was about that time, so he took off the costume and returned it and headed home.
Ewane smiles
Angaelen sighs ... "Poor Mellor ..."
Kathetia smiles to the group and bows before slipping away.
[Strand] says: Where, of course, Mrs. Mellor was waiting for him.
[Strand] says: And where, of course, dinner was waiting for him, with three places set at the little field mouse table.
[Strand] says: One for Mellor, one for Mrs. Mellor, and one...
Calithos hrms. "For the goblin?"
Cupris exists.
[Strand] says: For the goblin, indeed! Who was contentedly eating appetizers.
Angaelen looks expectantly ...
Dahla smiles at Strand.
Arrish giggles. "Cheese appetizers."
Trinn laughs aloud.
Dahla laughs at Arrish.
Calithos supposedly exists
[Strand] says: Mellor blinked.
[Strand] says: "Why, Mrs. Mellor," he said. "Who've you brought to dinner?"
Angaelen chuckles, blinking at that hard work gone to naught.
[Strand] says: Mrs. Mellor smiled. "Oh, this is our cousin in law three times removed from Winterspring. She's down to trade recipes."
Vindicis chuckles softly and murmurs "Women.. what would us men do without them."
[Strand] says: Mellor paused a long time. "I see," he said at last. "And... you can talk to her? I mean, you understand each other?"
Calithos looks over and smirks. "Die due to no new generation."
[Strand] says: Mrs. Mellor smiled a little. "Oh, Mellor," she said. "We have our ways. We have our ways."
Vindicis blinks at Calithos and smirks.
A sly smirk spreads across Angaelen's face.
Ewane smiles and shakes his head slowly
[Strand] says: And Mellor just smiled back -- he's a clever field mouse, and knows when to be quiet -- and had dinner with Mrs. Mellor and the goblin guest.
Vindicis laughs softly.
Strand stretches. "And that is the story of how Mellor decided to learn Goblinish, and how he found out that he didn't have to learn it after all."
Arrish whispers to Angaelen, "Mrs. Mellor is my favorite."
Ewane claps softly
[Strand] says: I hope it has left you with a smile, and I thank you for the listening.
Angaelen grins at Arrish's aside, clapping gaily.
Gebrannt cheers at Strand!
Trinn applauds at Strand. Bravo!
Wren claps excitedly for Strand.
Dahla applauds at Strand. Bravo!
Gebrannt claps excitedly for Strand.
Arrish applauds Strand.
Strand makes a sweeping bow, and heads back to his seat, grinning.
Geril grins.
Dahla smiles at Strand.
Calithos applauds at Strand. Bravo!
Ewane applauds at Strand. Bravo!
Veras nods to Strand
Bodhran claps excitedly for Strand.
Sassandra claps for Strand.
[Dahla] says: Thank you for another wonderful story of Mellor, Strand.
Ewane smiles and shakes his head, preparing to depart
Vindicis chuckles softly and claps, following the man with his gaze.
[Strand] says: Oh, they're all Dad's.
Gebrannt waves at Ewane.
Ewane bows down graciously.
[Angaelen] says: Indeed, but overdue .... Sir McDougal, sir?
Ewane turns and looks
Dahla smiles, taking a good look around the circle. "Around this time of night, people start to get sleepy, so I have to begin asking... do we have maybe a short story or poem or two left?"
[Ewane] says: Yes?
Angaelen nods .... "A hopefully quick bit of history, but I should have its author about to correct it ..."
Dahla smiles at Angaelen.
Ewane arches a brow
[Ewane] says: Pardon me?
Angaelen nods.
Calithos shakes his head. "Most of my stories take too long."
[Dahla] says: Well. If the author doesn't mind staying a moment later.
Veras nods and stands up, dusting himself off
Sassandra sighs a bit tiredly, nodding to Angaelen.
[Ewane] says: what are you speaking of?
Dahla smiles at Ewane.
Veras settles back down again and lets his eyes wander
Wren leans over to whisper to Bodhran
[Angaelen] says: You did speak with me present a number of nights ago, and I should like you to remain to correct any inaccuracies, if it please you.
Ewane blinks slowly
Arrish tilts her head.
[Ewane] says: You aren't about to tell a story about me are you?
[Angaelen] says: Taking the name of father and mother's sire, was the man Ewane McDougal. Proud and devout his father, and his priestess mother, who did wish then for their son to study in the Church. To the cloister at sixteen, Uther his teacher and trainer.
Vindicis laughs softly.
Arrish glances between Ewane and Angaelen, smiling.
[Angaelen] says: To Stormgarde's arm was he assigned in the second war when the Orcs ran wild. Oh, the histories could do it not justice, the desperate battles for survival that strained the Alliance. So clearly remembered, the Burning Steppes, when they were forced to
Ewane hangs his head slightly and shakes his head, chuckling softly
Sylvanda licks Kaith.
Ewane sighs and takes a seat
[Angaelen] says: their keep. Lord Anduin Lothar, hero of Stormwind's scattered kin, into the breech did lead, and yea though victory was had that day .... it's price dear did we pay. Lord Lothar fell, in single combat with the warchief of the Horde.
Arrish glances at the ninja.
[Angaelen] says: Though in grief they stood at his loss, Lord Uther rose the Alliance's Lion banner, and fought on to victory. With that day the war was ended, and then on we did task to rout the Orcs that raised war against us yet. Upon war's end was he made ....
Kaith makes a face and wipes off the cat drool.
Veras smirks
Kaith rubs his hand in the grass.
[Angaelen] says: .... one of the Silver Hand to the pride of child and family both. In service, was he tasked to bring the Light to the people and Divine Retribution to those that would upon the innocent prey. Alas, for the third war ...the first reports of the scourge
[Angaelen] says: did into our chambers arrive. Uther did go to lead the charge to investigate this plague and joined by Arthas at the front. Trained with him in the cloister was he, and among their best. But the pain seen of Arthas's eyes was that of helplessness to
Ewane watches Angaelen and smiles softly, listening to the tale
Trinn listens quietly to Angaelen, reaching out for Strand's hand.
Strand takes Trinn's hand, listening.
Sylvanda scoots closer to Kaith leaning against him.
[Angaelen] says: his people defend. None could see what happened next, though the time thereafter is well known ... the King's son led the Scourge to destroy Lordaeron. Twas guarding artifacts en route to Stormwind he met the legions of the dead. With the Light at their
Kaith looks at the cat a moment, then just shakes his head slowly and sighs.
[Angaelen] says: side against the tide of dark, for Uther and the Light did Arthas betray to fight in combat ... the harrowing of the Silver Hand brought a regrouping from Ironforge and the honor guard to save his body the fell works of their foe.
[Angaelen] says: But only the stopping of corruption of his flesh could they obtain. One by one then did the cities fall, and pushed back to Ironforge and Stormwind the line was drawn ... and to the Dwarves of Ironforge, Ewane's path did go. When the war ended, the
Gebrannt cheers for the Dwarves!
Ewane smiles and nods slowly
Trinn looks over curiously at Ewane.
[Angaelen] says: days of rebuilding we hoped would begin. However, even with the losses of yesterday, always in our darkest hours have those remained who did and shall rise to lead onward.
Strand nods quietly.
Angaelen clears her throat after the recitation ...
[Angaelen] says: How please you, sir?
Ewane stands up and smiles
Ewane applauds at Angaelen. Bravo!
Dahla nods solemnly, applauding very quietly.
Arrish smiles, applauding to Angaelen.
[Ewane] says: Well told
Bodhran claps excitedly for Angaelen.
Strand claps excitedly for Angaelen.
Vindicis claps softly, having heard the story many a time.
Gebrannt claps excitedly.
Wren applauds at Angaelen. Bravo!
Gebrannt cheers!
Sassandra claps excitedly for Angaelen.
Geril applauds. Bravo!
Arrish says softly to her, "Very well told."
[Ewane] says: Now if you would all hear the voice of an old man. I have a simple story to tell
Angaelen sits, gesturing to the tales ... benefactor.
[Dahla] says: Thank you, Angaelen, very much.
Dahla nods to Ewane. "Please, then."
Arrish looks to Ewane now, curiously.
Angaelen asides "Thank you, Sir McDougal for your account.
Vindicis whispers softly to Angaelen "Thank you for putting some excitement into that story, seemed like it was the first time instead of the 100th" he smiles softly.
[Ewane] says: There was once was a small bird, in a field in the midst of winter.
[Ewane] says: The winter was cold and bitter and the bird was freezing almost to death.
Angaelen pales hearing the opening of the story ...
[Ewane] says: Along came a Cow, and defecated upon the bird.
Angaelen buries her face.
Arrish makes a small noise, glancing over at Angaelen.
Kaith arches an eyebrow at Ewane.
Vindicis sighs softly murmuring "not this one again" sitting up straight to listen to Ewane.
Arrish covers her mouth hastily before she laughs.
Dahla gives a tiny laugh.
Gebrannt brightens up a bit, recognizing this old proverb
Trinn tilts her head.
[Ewane] says: While the little bird at first, thought what poor luck it had upon being defecated upon by such a large creature, the feces was warm and thawed the bird.
[Ewane] says: Along came a cat. And plucked the bird out of the pile of feces.
Sylvanda licks the side of Kaith’s head.
[Ewane] says: It proceeded to clean off the bird, the bird thought, "well my luck is improving", but much to it's dismay, the cat proceeded to devour the poor little bird.
Ewane looks around at everyone sitting in the circle
Bodhran nods slightly
Sylvanda eyes Pickles up and down.
[Ewane] says: The moral is, while those that seem to be foul and causing one harm, may actually be doing one a good service.
Kaith grimaces and pushes the cat away.
Sylvanda licks her lips.
Sassandra quirks a brow.
Gebrannt looks defensively towards Sylvanda
[Ewane] says: And those that seem fare, and would easily aid thou, could be causing one harm.
Strand grins.
Ewane smiles
Gebrannt claps excitedly for Ewane.
[Sassandra] says: I think I've heard another version.
Trinn laughs and claps.
Wren nods
Bodhran applauds at Ewane. Bravo!
Strand applauds at Ewane. Bravo!
Dahla applauds at Ewane. Bravo!
Wren applauds at Ewane. Bravo!
Arrish pats Angaelen on the arm. "There there."
Veras yawns and stretches
[Dahla] says: Thank you very much, sir.
[Veras] says: I think that is it for me tonight.
Ewane smiles and takes a seat
Angaelen attempts to clap, but can't seem to bring her head up from its hanging ...
[Ewane] says: Thank you for allowing me to speak
Gebrannt waves at Veras.
[Dahla] says: Now, I think Brother Geril wanted to round the night out with a final... presentation?
Dahla smiles at Ewane.
[Dahla] says: I hope you will do so again.
Geril grins.
Sylvanda lifts a paw and shoves Kaith, purring softly.
[Geril] says: Okay, okay. Let me explain myself, first.
Bodhran regards Geril with interest
Veras glances to Geril and raises an eyebrow as he stands to go, he chuckles and just shakes his head
Sassandra glances over to Geril.
Angaelen nods at the strange man in black.
Trinn gives Geril a curious and somewhat nervous look.
Gebrannt stares Geril down.
Wren looks up at Geril and grins
Strand looks interestedly to Geril.
[Geril] says: In an effort to bring my new friends here, I promised I would do a song and dance routine if they attended.
[Geril] says: Well, they did attend.
Trinn 's expression changes completely to nervous.
Wren nods
Bodhran chuckles softly
Gebrannt closes his eyes and eyes tight!
Arrish glances over at Trinn, puzzled, and looks back to Geril.
[Geril] says: Thing is, I didn't know too many songs with a dance.
Kaith almost falls to the side, catching himself.
[Geril] says: My little friends helped me out. My friends from the orphanage.
Kaith looks back to the cat and mutters. "Would you cut that out?"
[Geril] says: And to mirror their generosity in teaching it to me, I shall also teach it to someone else tonight.
Dahla makes herself suddenly very small.
Sassandra looks to her left and chuckles at Kaith
Sylvanda looks at Kaith innocently, and shoves him again trying to knock him over.
Geril looks around the circle.
Angaelen looks quizzically at Geril ...
Vindicis raises a slight eyebrow at Dahla.
Strand looks contemplatively at Arrish.
Arrish examines her nails.
Gebrannt raises a brow at Geril
Cupris exists.
Trinn follows Strand's gaze.
Strand and Trinn study Arrish.
Dahla looks over to Arrish as well.
Kaith falls over.
Arrish finds her nails immensely fascinating at the moment.
Vindicis turns his gaze to Arrish.
Strand and Trinn and Dahla contemplate Arrish.
Sylvanda sits on Kaith.
Arrish subtly points out Dahla to Geril, without looking at him.
Cupris turns his peculiar gaze upon Arrish.
[Geril] says: Ahem. Would my new friends care to help me out?
Dahla gives Geril a Look of Death.
Geril grins.
Kaith lies down.
[Wren] says: hmm?
Vindicis grins and pushes Arrish softly on the back.
Sassandra blinks at Geril.
[Geril] says: I need a volunteer. That's going to be you.
Angaelen keeps her head bowed.
Wren glares at Bodhran
Calithos looks up. "I'd love to stay, but I must depart. Best of luck to all."
Wren pokes Bodhran. Hey!
Wren sighs at Bodhran.
Gebrannt waves at Calithos.
Calithos waves goodbye to everyone. Farewell!
Angaelen holds back a snicker at the feigning of one's death ...
Dahla waves at Calithos.
Arrish makes a small snorting noise, and smiles faintly back at Vindicis. "Did you say you were volunteering, sir?"
[Geril] says: C'mon Wren, it won't hurt.
Dahla laughs quietly at Bodhran.
Trinn smiles encouragingly at Wren.
Wren stands and brushes off her dress
Ewane smiles and shakes his head
Vindicis blushes slightly "I err. rrrmmm eh?"
[Ewane] says: I think it is about time for this old man to rest
Angaelen nods apologetically to Wren ...
Bodhran tries hard to suppress his laughter
[Geril] says: Okay, like I said, this is a song I learned from my friends at the orphanage. I wouldn't be surprised if you knew it.
Strand glances at Vindicis.
Dahla waves goodbye to Ewane. Farewell!
[Ewane] says: Good eve everyone. Thank you for allowing me to join you all.
Ewane bows down graciously.
Kaith grunts at the cat jumps on him. "Would you just let me up?"
Wren looks over her shoulder at Bodhran "This is so not over"
Gebrannt waves at Ewane.
Angaelen nods to Ewane as he starts off.
Strand waves to Ewane.
[Geril] says: Okay, here's how you do it. Put one arm on your waist.
[Sylvanda] says: Now why would I do that Kaith?
Sylvanda chuckles
Geril puts on arm on his waist.
Kaith blinks, then shakes his head.
Strand scooches closer to Trinn, watching Geril and Wren with some fascination.
Arrish murmurs, "No need to be modest." But then relents and looks to Wren and Geril.
Wren follows suit
Vindicis chuckles softly.
Gebrannt blows Pickles a kiss.
[Geril] says: And hold the other one out to your side.
Trinn raises an eyebrow at Arrish.
Dahla grins as she watches the pair.
Geril holds his other arm out to his side.
Wren holds out her arm likewise
[Geril] says: Now, the song goes as follows. Please sing along if you know the words.
Geril clears his throat.
[Geril] says: I'm a little tea-pot, short and stout...
Gebrannt laughs.
Angaelen laughs.
Vindicis bursts out laughing.
Wren bursts out laughing and follows along with the song
Strand chokes amusedly.
[Geril] says: Here is my handle...
Gebrannt cheers at Geril!
Dahla laughs, before singing along.
Kaith clears his throat. "Sylvanda...if you would be so kind as to get off of me."
[Wren] says: Here is my spout
Geril wiggles his left arm.
Sassandra lets out a laugh.
Arrish does not sing, but she looks deeply amused.
Geril grins, "You know it!"
Wren tips her other arm
Gebrannt dances with Geril.
Wren nods and grins at Geril
Sylvanda shakes her head grinning,
[Geril] says: When I get all steamed up, hear me shout...
Trinn mumbles the words along with the others.
[Angaelen] says: When I get all steamed up, hear me shout ...
Geril whistles loudly.
Vindicis whistles with Geril.
Strand whistles at Geril.
[Wren] says: TIP me over and pour me out...
[Gebrannt] says: Tip me over and pour me out!
Trinn gives Strand an odd look.
Geril bends sideways.
Angaelen chuckles.
[Geril] says: Exactly!
Strand gesticulates ambiguously.
Vindicis stands and claps for the two of them.
Wren tips to illustrate
Gebrannt claps excitedly for Geril.
Geril applauds at Wren. Bravo!
Wren grins wickedly at Geril.
Dahla cheers at Wren!
[Vindicis] says: We should all join do a chorus!
Trinn claps excitedly for Wren.
Gebrannt cheers at Wren!
Angaelen looks quizzically at Strand.
[Strand] says: Aye! All of us standing up should.
[Geril] says: Thank you, thank you Wren. A great example you set.
Dahla grins wickedly at Strand.
Angaelen claps for the two demonstrators.
Vindicis blushes and sits down.
Trinn looks over at Vindicis curiously.
Angaelen applauds. Bravo!
Arrish applauds at Wren. Bravo!
Dahla applauds at Wren. Bravo!
[Wren] says: Well you did follow through on your word
Dahla applauds at Geril. Bravo!
Gebrannt claps excitedly for Wren.
Sassandra smirks at Geril.
[Geril] says: I did.
Vindicis whispers "It is one of my favorites"
Bodhran breathes deeply
[Dahla] says: I believe that's a lovely end to our evening.
Dahla winks slyly at Geril.
[Bodhran] says: I must have fainted...how strange
[Dahla] says: Thank you both very much.
Trinn is still humming the song.
Wren looks down at Bodhran and frowns threateningly
Angaelen smirks slyly at Bodhran.
[Dahla] says: And that you all for coming and making this yet another successful Story Night!
Strand gives Vindicis a deeply speculative look.
Bodhran looks at the ground, barely suppressing his laughter
Vindicis continues to do the dance while sitting.
[Angaelen] says: How strange, Master Dwarf...
[Dahla] says: I hope to see you all again soon, with any luck as soon as next Thursday.
Angaelen smiles to Dahla.
Cupris stands up slowly, methodically.
Arrish glances back and Vindicis, and covers a laugh.
Trinn looks even more curiously at Vindicis.
Kaith clears his throat again. "Sylvanda...remove yourself from my chest...please."
[Strand] says: Hm.
Wren pounces on Bodhran and starts tickling him ruthlessly "leave mat the mercy of a teapot will you? hmmmm?"
Sassandra stifles a yawn, rubbing her eyes.
Arrish looks back at Trinn and Strand and goes immediately serious.
Angaelen curtsies.
Bodhran falls over helplessly with laughter
[Wren] says: No mercy!
Trinn pokes Strand in a way she thinks is discreet.
[Geril] says: Wren, you made an *excellent* teapot.
[Strand] says: Mmm.
Angaelen looks over at Arrish, then follows her gaze to Trinn & Strand ... and back to Arrish ...
Arrish narrows her eyes at Strand.
Vindicis follows Arrish's gaze and stops instantly, coughing softly, stifling a laugh.
Cupris turns and watches Dahla quietly.
Wren grins wickedly at Bodhran.
Sylvanda chuckles and looks down at Kaith. "What do I get if I move?"
Arrish gives him a minor variant of Dahla's look of death.
Sassandra glances over to Kaith and Sylvanda.
Bodhran smiles at Wren.
Angaelen looks between the siblings, trying to figure out what is going on ...
[Wren] says: Thank you, I err..I quite enjoy playacting crockery
Trinn pokes Strand again, leaning in to whisper.
Dahla stretches a little, grinning at Wren. "You make a better Troll than a teapot, though."
Strand nods to Trinn thoughtfully.
Bodhran agrees with Dahla.
Kaith tilts his head upward and speaks flatly. "My gratitude..."
Gavrin leans down and whispers into Vindicis' ear
Vindicis tilts his head back slowly.
Arrish applies a bit of the look to Trinn, too.
[Gebrannt] says: I have a question...
Trinn smiles sweetly.
Angaelen scoots back from Arrish slightly.
Sylvanda tilts her head to the side grinning widely at Kaith.
Cupris speaks a single word.
[Cupris] says: Dahla.
Gavrin stands tall once again
Vindicis nods softly and whispers "In a moment."
Gavrin nods
Dahla looks over to Cupris curiously, offering a quiet smile. "Hello Cupris. Glad you could make it tonight."
Arrish starts as Cupris speaks, and frowns a bit, looking toward him.
Cupris nods vaguely. "A moment, please."
[Dahla] says: Of course.
Bodhran leans over to whisper something to Wren, but keeps his guard up
Cupris beckons Dahla to follow and turns to walk behind the tree behind him.
Sassandra unwraps a small roll of cloth and begins munching on some frosted cookies inside.
Dahla glances over to the Osrics plus some, gives them a quiet wave, and follows along after.
Vindicis leans forward and whispers to Arrish.
Cupris walks.
Sylvanda sighs and scoots off Kaith. "You are no fun."
Wren ducks under Bodhran's guard and kisses him on the cheek
Strand waves to Dahla, perplexed.
[Gebrannt] says: well, while they are talking, can I ask some of you something?
Kaith sits up. "So I have been told."
Bodhran grins happily
[Strand] says: Mmm? Certainly.
Kaith looks at Sylvanda, then shakes his head slowly.
Vindicis leans back and packs his bags, preparing to take his leave.
[Gebrannt] says: Well see, my pal Pickles and I, we get lonely some of the time, runnin around. And, we notice alot of people.. spend time together in Guilds in such.. how would we go about finding one?
Arrish watches Dahla and Cupris walk off, rather intently, but then she tilts her head politely to listen to Vindicis, refocusing her attention properly.
Gebrannt looks off in the sky, clasping his hands behind his back
Sylvanda leans against Kaith grinning, as she listens.
Sassandra looks back around the assemblage
[Strand] says: Hm.
Vindicis stands and speaks softly "Very much so, thank you again for the invitation long ago"
Trinn leans tiredly against Strand, though her eyes seem to still focus across the circle.
Arrish curtsies before Vindicis.
[Strand] says: Well, best way is to find people you like, and see if they happen to be in an Order.
Vindicis kneels before Arrish.
[Vindicis] says: M'lady.
[Arrish] says: You are quite welcome; perhaps we'll see you again?
Gebrannt pets Pickles softly, feeding him an apple
[Gebrannt] says: An Order?
[Vindicis] says: Indeed m'lady, I may even have to speak.
Kaith blinks and looks to Sylvanda a moment, then clears his throat and looks around.
[Strand] says: Um. Order, guild, association.
Vindicis chuckles softly.
Strand waves a hand vaguely, somewhat distracted.
Arrish smiles faintly and a touch ruefully. "Miss. I've no noble blood."
Sassandra stands up slowly, dusting off her hands. She wanders over to lean back against the log.
[Gebrannt] says: Oh, I see. And, where do I find people like this?
[Arrish] says: Do take care, Sir Vindicis.
[Strand] says: People you like?
Sylvanda tickles Kaith’s' ear then stands and stretches as her shape shifts back into a cat.
[Gebrannt] says: People like anyone. I like all people.
[Vindicis] says: You as well m'lady.
Angaelen nods, inwardly curious to know how the courting couple has attracted the sister's ire ...
Strand looks dubious. "All people?"
[Gebrannt] says: well..except for Orcs and Tauren and boogeymen of the type
Kaith flinches and tries to bat Sylvanda's hand from his ear.
Vindicis turns and bows slightly to Angaelen before walking off.
Sassandra gives a mischievous tug on the cat's tail.
Angaelen curtsies before Vindicis.
Sylvanda yelps and spins looking at the woman curiously.
[Angaelen] says: Good Sir Vindicis.
Strand looks vaguely bemused.
Arrish looks a touch more rueful. "I shall do my best."
[Strand] says: I... fell into the canal.
[Strand] says: And Dahla accused... um.
[Vindicis] says: Miss Angaelen.
Trinn grins at Strand.
[Strand] says: Long story. It worked out.
[Trinn] says: Gods, that seems like long ago.
[Trinn] says: Worked...
Strand squeezes Trinn's hand.
Trinn elbows Strand in the ribs.
[Gebrannt] says: you fell in the canal?? How? What happened?
Angaelen gasps at Strand.
[Strand] says: Ooof.
Kaith looks at Sylvanda, then to Sassandra. "I would be careful if I were you...she is not tame."
[Trinn] says: He was /drunk/.
[Gebrannt] says: Story night ain’t over for you yet!
[Angaelen] says: Do my long ears deceive me ...?
[Strand] says: You were kind.
Sassandra holds her hands up defensively.
[Trinn] says: Well, in part. Dahla and I truly weren't.
Bodhran stands and offers his hand to Wren
[Strand] says: Ha. I remember under the table.
Arrish looks toward the graveyard, her expression thoughtful.
Sylvanda allows her mouth to open enough for her tongue to loll out as she purrs up at Sassandra.
Trinn blushes.
Strand looks intensely fond.
Wren takes Bodhran's hand with a smile and stands up
Baydon leans back onto his hands, gazing lazily towards the lake.
Wren looks around
Trinn smiles at Gebrannt.
[Wren] says: I think Dahla is occupied for the moment
[Trinn] says: Don't think you have to fall in the canal, though.
Arrish says, very quietly, "Murlocs."
[Trinn] says: That's drastic.
Sassandra grins down at Sylvanda.
[Bodhran] says: Aye, we'll have to catch up with her later
[Gebrannt] says: Oh
Gebrannt hides his swimming trunks
[Sassandra] says: How... err... 'un-tame" is she?
Wren turns to Geril "Glad I could help with the performance"
Strand gives Arrish a look, which is ineffective.
Trinn grins at Gebrannt.
Geril smiles and nods, "glad you could help."
Kaith leans forward an rubs the back of his neck. "Well...you could just ask her."
Angaelen backs away a step from Arrish.
Bodhran smiles at Geril, 'Aye, despite the lack of your own dancing, t'was worth the trip'
Sylvanda chuckles softly the sound deeper than normal as she continues to watch the other woman.
Arrish gives Angaelen a bemused look, and smiles faintly.
[Wren] says: I think we're going to take our leave for the evening
[Gebrannt] says: I’m gonna go fall in the lake for a bit, I'll be back
Wren smiles at Geril.
Sassandra eyes the druid curiously.
[Wren] says: Be well Geril, it was good to see you again
[Sylvanda] says: I am very tame...
[Sassandra] says: Alright. How tame *are* you?
[Bodhran] says: Aye, have a good eve
[Geril] says: You too, Ma'am.
Sylvanda flicks her tail lazily.
[Angaelen] says: The road rise to meet thee, each and all ...
Angaelen curtsies.
Trinn smiles at Angaelen.
Arrish curtsies before Angaelen.
[Strand] says: Travel safe, Angaelen, scholar.
[Arrish] says: Good evening to you, Miss Angaelen.
[Trinn] says: Good eve, Angaelen. Light keep you.
Wren raises an eyebrow at Geril "Ma'm?...don't think I know what to think of that"
Wren grins wickedly at Geril.
Angaelen curtsies.
[Sylvanda] says: Kaith would have people believe I eat small children.
Sassandra blinks. "You talk..."
Bodhran chuckles under his breath
Trinn gives Arrish a speculative look.
[Wren] says: Tell Dahla goodnight for me if you could
Strand slips a fond arm around Trinn's shoulder.
Arrish eyes Trinn.
Bodhran offers his arm to Wren to hold
Wren waves goodbye to Geril. Farewell!
[Sassandra] says: With enough spices, they might taste good, who knows?
Bodhran bows before Geril.
Sassandra giggles at Sylvanda.
Wren takes Bodhran's hand and squeezes it gently
Kaith shakes his head slowly.
Bodhran smiles at Wren.
Sylvanda shifts her form again and grins down at Sassandra. "Indeed I talk... does that surprise you?" Syl grins widely again.
Arrish curtsies before Wren.
Arrish curtsies before Bodhran.
Sassandra shakes her head. "I'm not used to... elves... I suppose."
[Arrish] says: Good evening to you both.
[Trinn] says: We'll have to have more long talks in Darnassus.
Arrish looks a touch exasperated.
[Sylvanda] says: Mmm I can assure you I am unlike any Kaldorei you will find... or at least most of them.
Kaith stands slowly and brush some grass off his pants. "Neither am I."
[Arrish] says: He likes stories. And, apparently, music.
[Trinn] says: Both are fine things.
[Arrish] says: And Priestess Melanthe.
[Sassandra] says: Well, then since I know so few -- perhaps you are giving me the wrong impression of them?
[Trinn] says: Ahh.
Strand tilts his head.
Sylvanda tilts her head to the side and studies the other woman.
[Trinn] says: All are fine things in fact. Things and person. Right.
Arrish gestures vaguely toward the gryphons. "Ask Miss Angaelen. He's just being chivalrous."
[Sylvanda] says: Perhaps... but then again I do not like most Kaldorei myself.
[Strand] says: Oh, all right.
Dahla returns, pale as a sheet, clutching a large white box bound with a ribbon in her arms -- as if unsure whether to clutch it close or carry it held far apart. "Trinn? Geril?"
Sassandra eyes Sylvanda just as curiously.
Strand turns and blinks.
Trinn glances over, her smile immediately fading.
Arrish frowns sharply as she sees Dahla's expression.
[Trinn] says: Dahla?
[Dahla] says: Can we... go home?
Sylvanda chuckles softly.
[Sassandra] says: Why don't you like them, then?
[Sylvanda] says: A long story ma'am.
[Sassandra] says: Bad childhood?
Dahla passes an apologetic look over to Big Geb and his lovely bird.
Arrish hesitates, then asks Dahla, "What did he /do/?"
Gebrannt smiles and waves.
Kaith folds his arms and looks to the ground a moment, then to the two women.
[Sylvanda] says: Mmm I suppose that is a way to put it.
Sassandra chuckles softly.
Gebrannt gives Pickles a "are yah ready?" look
Strand says to Gebrannt, "Anyhow, I'm Strand -- look me up sometime."
[Sassandra] says: Well, no one's childhood was *perfect* -- but I suppose yours was just much longer than mine!
Gebrannt nods to Strand "Will do"
[Gebrannt] says: Thanks for having me guys and girls....
Gebrannt waves.
[Dahla] says: Thank you, Big Geb...
Sylvanda blinks slightly, "That I can assure you is true."
Trinn looks over, though she seems still worried. "Good eve, sir."
[Strand] says: Where home?
Kaith looks at Sylvanda. "I rather think hers still hasn't passed."
Arrish recovers herself enough to say to the dwarf, "Good evening, sir."
Dahla says softly, "Stormwind Home."
Sylvanda grins at Kaith, "The same could be said about you my friend."
Sassandra expression softens. "That must be... rougher, then, if it wasn't a pleasant upbringing."
Kaith just shakes his head slowly again.
Arrish glances questioningly at Strand, then follows Dahla.
Sylvanda looks back to Sassandra, "One learns to cope over time."
[Sassandra] says: Heh. And the rest of us, only have a few years to learn to cope.
Sylvanda blinks and suddenly holds her hand out to Sassandra, "I forgot to introduce myself... I am Sylvanda Redthorn. And this moody gentleman is probably one of my closest friends. Kaith Greybarren.
Kaith inclines his head slightly to Sassandra.
Sassandra quirks a brow at Kaith, then shakes Sylvanda's hand vigorously. "Sassandra Simmonds..."
Sassandra tucks a lock of hair behind her ear. "I'm afraid I'm way past my normal bedtime though..."
Sylvanda smiles and returns the shake, "A pleasure. Though most people call me Syl. And I will let you retire... I am soon to find my bed myself. "
[Sassandra] says: I usually use the moon's position as a signal as to when to sleep... but tonight? Sitting around here has me drowsy!
[Sassandra] says: Perhaps I will see you all again sometime.
[Sylvanda] says: I can understand that.
[Sylvanda] says: Oh that would be wonderful... myself and members of my guild are often in Stormwind.
Kaith nods slowly. "Don't let us keep you from your bed then, madame. And perhaps we will meet again during more...daylight hours."
Sassandra reaches into her bag and removes two cookies with orange frosting on them, handing one each to Sylvanda and Kaith.
Sylvanda smiles at Sassandra and takes the cookie studying it curiously before nibbling on it.
Kaith arches a brow, looking at the cookie a moment before taking it.
[Sassandra] says: Don't worry! They're not poisoned!
Sassandra lets out a little chuckle.
Kaith nibbles on the cookie.
[Sassandra] says: Anyway... sleep time!
[Sylvanda] says: Actually I do not have much of a sweet tooth.
Sassandra bows graciously.
[Sylvanda] says: Sleep well Miss Sassandra.
[Sassandra] says: You could feed it to your cat.
Sylvanda returns the bow and grins.
[Sylvanda] says: Perhaps.
Kaith nods slowly. "A good night to you, then."
