[Veras] says: I'm cold, but not *that* cold.
Turacy takes a bowl of the chowder
[Turacy] says: thanks
[Cogitatus] says: Sorry about that, Madam.
Veras looks to Cogitatus
[Veras] says: I thought you said your fires were well aimed?
Veras smirks slyly at Cogitatus.
Meris looks around the circle.
[Geril] says: Maybe he did aim that one well.
[Wren] says: It is! At least compared to mine
[Cogitatus] says: Well, this Story Circle *is* smaller than usual. Smaller margin for error.
Wren greets you warmly.
Wren greets Shaun with a hearty hello!
Cogitatus waves at you.
Dahla grins at Shaun. "Hey there, Stranger."
[Turacy] says: oh... I brought herbal tea as well, it just has to boil a moment if anyone wants some
Turacy nods at you.
[Veras] says: Hmmmm, remind me to bring asbestos next time.
Shaun smiles. "Evenin'."
Linnet smiles at each of the just arrived.
[Dahla] says: Well, you know how it is. We have the early birds, and then the stragglers.
Cogitatus furrows his brow at Veras. "Asbestos"?
Meris grins at Cogitatus.
[Turacy] says: I'm afraid I must take my leave, if its still happening in about a hour, I’ll be back
Wren smiles at Turacy.
[Turacy] says: will we still be here in a hour?
Veras looks to Turacy
[Cogitatus] says: I hope to see you here, Turacy.
Cogitatus smiles at Turacy.
[Meris] says: We should be....
[Wren] says: Most likely
Dahla smiles and nods at Turacy. "We shall."
[Veras] says: Oh trust me, we'll be around longer than that even.
[Turacy] says: thanks!
[Turacy] says: ok... seeya
[Cogitatus] says: We're usually here until at least 10 or 11.
Linnet waves at Turacy.
Wren looks up at Turacy "thank you for the treats! it was a welcome surprise"
Dahla leans back on her palms, grinning. "Phew. We may well have to change the night's name to Story Night and Buffet, at this rate."
[Meris] says: Well... no Ingarath tonite?
[Meris] says: He gets himself lost so often...
Cogitatus laughs at Dahla.
[Cogitatus] says: Perhaps Ingarath is busy, this evening?
Dahla glances over to Cogitatus with a grin. "He said he might stop by later, but asked if I'd mind hosting in his absence."
Meris shrugs at Cogitatus. "Obviously. That, or he's forgotten about us..."
Cogitatus chuckles at you.
[Dahla] says: He's awfully busy with those new folks down at that tavern.
[Cogitatus] says: The Laughing Jester?
Dahla nods. "That's the one."
Dahla looks about the small circle with a grin. "So now that we're fed and waiting for the stragglers... we could always do with some story appetizers. Or jokes."
Cogitatus chuckles softly at Dahla.
[Dahla] says: Although the joke idea could go horribly, horribly wrong...
Geril shakes his head in preparation for bad jokes of poor taste.
[Linnet] says: Jokes have a habit of doing that sometimes.
Shaun drops to his elbows and smirks. "That's thah fun part."
[Veras] says: I have a tale for tonight; but it is rather epic; I can open with an old parabolic type tale if you wish.
Cogitatus laughs at Shaun.
[Meris] says: Epic?
[Veras] says: It's the story of how we got our second moon.
Veras smiles at you.
Linnet 's forehead wrinkles in confusion.
[Linnet] says: Para...para...
Kurlann kneels down.
Meris shoots Veras a strange look
[Geril] says: Well, I've got a few short "bits of wisdom"... I could bring them up between stories.
Dahla grins. "Oh, I'd like to hear that. But maybe we should wait for a grander audience, I'll bet it will cause a great deal of conversation."
Kurlann greets everyone with a hearty hello!
[Meris] says: Wisdom? Depends on how "deep" it is, I suppose..
Veras looks to Dahla
Linnet scratches her head and shrugs.
[Shaun] says: Aye, I've always wondered about that one.
Dahla waves over at Kurlann with a smile. "Good evening and welcome back, Kurlann!"
[Veras] says: I can start with a semi-thought provoking short story.
Linnet smiles at Kurlann.
[Veras] says: Quite short actually.
[Veras] says: If you wish.
[Dahla] says: Please do, Veras.
Kurlann smiles.
[Cogitatus] says: Might as well.
Veras grins wickedly at Dahla.
Cogitatus smiles at Veras.
Veras stands and dusts himself off
Dahla nudges Geril with an elbow. "And wisdom from you, too."
[Veras] says: There are always tales of old wise men, who can give you wisdom.
[Veras] says: This tale, is about one such man.
[Veras] says: He lived, far up in the mountains, and had only one servant, a boy who took care of things for him.
[Veras] says: Whenever someone went up to visit him, they would ask him a question, any question.
[Veras] says: And in reply, he would raise *one* finger.
Dahla looks up to the lady pirate curiously.
Veras raises his index finger
[Veras] says: And every time, the person across from him, understood, and thought him the wisest man.
[Veras] says: His care taker, the boy, was one day asked, in the presence of his master; what his master taught.
Linnet smiles brightly at Fandle.
[Veras] says: The Boy, thinking himself clever, raised a single finger.
Fandle waves at Linnet.
[Linnet] says: x
Veras raises his index finger
[Veras] says: What do you think occurred next?
Dahla glances away a moment to wave at Fandle.
Shaun blinks.
Fandle waves at Dahla, beaming a smile.
Veras smirks
Meris shrugs, a bit confused.
[Veras] says: You'll never guess it, but the master was *enraged*
Linnet whispers to Fandle, "Hello! Things just started sort of!"
Cogitatus remains silent and just looks intently at Veras.
Dahla 's smile fades as she looks up at Veras, grimacing faintly.
[Veras] says: In punishment, the master *removed* the boys finger.
Geril looks at the storyteller curiously.
Cogitatus furrows his brow.
[Veras] says: This story may not make sense at first.
Geril 's looks of curiousness changes to a look of shock.
Meris shakes her head and gives a small chuckle.
Fandle leans towards Linnet, whispering, “Sorry I'm late Linnet! My Uncle Gaznel needed help workin' on a schematics of his."
[Veras] says: But there is, as the master always gestured.
[Veras] says: One truth.
Veras raises his index finger
[Veras] says: And it can not be taught.
Veras sits
Linnet nods and whispers back, "Always important to give that sort of help when it's needed."
Veras shrugs
[Veras] says: That is my short tale.
[Fandle] says: There are many truths Lady! Each fact is a truth..*He glances over at Veras for a moment.*
Dahla nods thoughtfully, still grimacing a bit.
Veras looks to Fandle and smiles
Cogitatus looks at Veras a bit longer, brow still furrowed, then looks around at the circle.
[Shaun] says: Is it "Dun't make strange hand gestures around people with knives."?
Veras looks to Shaun and laughs
Geril chuckles lightly, "That's sagely advice."
[Meris] says: .... hmmm... Alright, I hope this doesn't signal a flourish of finger-removal stories..
[Linnet] says: Oh!
Dahla looks over to Sullivan with surprise, and smiles and waves.
Fandle nods at Linnet, “It is, and your dress looks nice, is that the new one I found ya?"
[Cogitatus] says: I should hope not, Meris.
[Veras] says: I apologize, but the story is not meant to be explained.
Sullivan gives a wave to all.
[Veras] says: But mulled over.
Linnet smiles at Fandle.
Shaun smiles and waves at Sullivan.
Meris looks over to Sullivan and gives a half wave
Linnet nods at Fandle, "It is! It's very pretty."
[Dahla] says: Thank you, miss Pirate. With that to have us consider... why not add more to the mix? Geril, you had some bits of wisdom?
Meris notices Calithos out of the corner of her eye, throwing a small pebble at him
Geril stands up and brushes off his robes, "Ah, yes, just a few bits."
Linnet smoothes her dress a bit, smiling happily.
[Meris] says: Well... we are starting early, no?
[Fandle] says: It is on you!!*He nods firmly, smiling as he tugs his goggles up to rest on his forehead>*
Calithos 's eye leaps from his skull, grabbing it with a tentacle. It then skitters over on the other seven, and hands the pebble back to Meris.
Linnet beams at Fandle and whispers a thanks.
[Geril] says: Okay, in my vast experience in the faith of the light, I have traveled to many far away lands to aid in the spread of our knowledge.
Meris gives the eye a tiny pat on the 'head' and takes the pebble back
[Geril] says: However, in such far away place, the teachings of the light are interpreted differently.
[Edifier] yells: hip hip hurray!
[Geril] says: So, I will share with you a few simple stories from these people that I thought quite curious.
Calithos 's eye Groos at the pat, and climbs into Meris' lap. It then sits there, watching.
Sullivan raises an eyebrow, and listens.
[Geril] says: The first is about a man. This man happened to be a king of his region. He was well known, wealthy, and quite powerful. He was respected far and wide by all the people. However, he still tried to maintain his humble faith in the light.
Meris places an index finger under the eye, lifting it up to her own eye-level and examining it curiously.
Calithos 's eye looks at Meris, and wraps it's tentacles around her finger to stay balanced. HE then groos at her.
[Geril] says: One day, he decided to visit his teacher to gain some more knowledge and wisdom about the light. This particular day, he had a question, "Teacher, what is Egotism to the faith of the light?"
Wren watches the scene across the circle with horrified fascination
Cogitatus takes a sidelong glance at Calithos and Meris, then returns his attention to Geril.
Dahla listens to Geril, curious.
[Geril] says: The teacher looked at the king, and replied in a very condescending and insulting tone of voice, "What kind of stupid question is that?"
Linnet blinks at Geril.
[Geril] says: The king, hearing the teacher speak in this tone of voice to him, got very angry, and stood up to straighten the teacher out.
Sayyida looks around nervously, then sits.
[Geril] says: The teacher stayed calm and said to the king, "THIS, your highness, is Egotism."
Geril nods and takes his seat again.
Cogitatus claps excitedly for Geril.
Meris glances over to Sayyida and Rogier, giving them both a small nod.
Dahla grins and applauds for Geril.
Rogier claps excitedly for Geril.
Shaun claps excitedly for Geril.
Meris smirks at Geril.
Wren claps excitedly for Geril.
Linnet nods at Fandle.
Calithos nods quietly to Geril.
Veras chuckles
Linnet claps excitedly for Geril.
Sullivan smiles and nods to Geril in approval.
[Dahla] says: Well, looks like our circle's grown... we may as well start the evening off officially.
Linnet shoos Great Goretusk away. Be gone pest!
Dahla looks around with a smile, giving a tiny wave to Say and Rogier. "Thank you all, and welcome to tonight's Story Night."
[Dahla] says: Ingarath may toddle along later and regrets not being able to host, but I'll be doing my best to fill that rather large void he leaves.
Meris places 'Groo' up on the brim of her hat.
Cogitatus smiles at Dahla.
Dahla grins. "So, we've started by warming up, and there's still plenty of food by the fire for those hungry. While we settle in, who has a tale, a song, a poem for us next?"
Fandle sighs softly as his hands fidget in his lap, fingers plucking at his tabard while he glances at Linnet and the crowd.
[Darlyn] says: Wha'? I came 'ere fer a story, le's hear one!
[Drahliana] says: I will start
[Dahla] says: Now, now. Don't all jump up at once. I know several of you are carrying tales around, and are just being shy.
Cogitatus smiles at Drahliana.
Linnet looks up at Drahliana and smiles.
[Drahliana] says: I will however need assistance
Dahla smiles at Drahliana.
[Darlyn] says: Oh oh!
[Darlyn] says: Pick meh!
Veras looks to Drahliana and quirks and eyebrow
[Cogitatus] says: Another translation?
[Drahliana] says: as my literature is in Kaldorei and will need a translator
Darlyn waves his hand around
Sayyida immediately looks down at the ground.
[Darlyn] says: ...not me!
Drahliana looks at Wren
Cogitatus laughs at Darlyn.
Wren looks around the circle
[Geril] says: If I knew your language, I would help.
Veras looks around the circle
[Wren] says: I think that means me!
Dahla laughs quietly at Darlyn.
Calithos snrks quietly.
[Geril] says: Sadly, that is one place I have not traveled to yet.
[Dahla] says: I think it does, Wren.
[Veras] says: Seems you have been volunteered Wren.
[Drahliana] says: you get a Ranger merit badge
Linnet claps excitedly for Wren.
Cogitatus chuckles softly at Wren.
[Meris] says: Hmm.. you *are* the only other elf, Wren.
Drahliana smiles at Wren.
[Calithos] says: Or drafted.
Fandle cheers at Wren!
[Wren] says: I'll do my best
Cogitatus laughs at Calithos.
[Rogier] says: I could make something up, n' claim translation.
[Drahliana] says: [Darnassian] O u'phol turus O alah turus
[Darlyn] says: I canna even speak Common, ne'er mind da elfy language
Wren listens carefully
Dahla snickers at Rogier, voice soft. "Don't think Wren won't do the same."
[Drahliana] says: [Darnassian] no dor diel lo shando ishura
[Wren] says: I travel today, I hunt today
[Drahliana] says: [Darnassian] dor diel lo shando belore
[Wren] says: in the land of fallen leaves
Calithos look over, tipping his hat to Yumeko.
[Wren] says: the land of fallen towers
[Drahliana] says: [Darnassian] dor nei shando il'amare shan're ishura
[Wren] says: the sun shines filtered through leaves
[Drahliana] says: [Darnassian] do'rah no shan're al'shar
Yumeko nods at Calithos.
[Wren] says: frozen in eternal autumn
Meris glances behind her, feeling the heat off of Yumeko's steed and giving her a wave.
Fandle leans towards Linnet, whispering as he glances up occasionally at Wren, "Whatcha think so far Linnet?"
[Drahliana] says: [Darnassian] nor mandalas ano lo dor shari'fal terro lo fal anar fulo
[Drahliana] says: [Darnassian] O alah turus nor eraburis
[Wren] says: and reflects off of the abandoned ponds of our lost city
Dahla watches the speaker, listening to the original words to get a feel for the tale. She nods at the mounted woman with a smile, before glancing back.
[Drahliana] says: [Darnassian] nor fulo
[Wren] says: I hunt today for feathers
[Wren] says: and hide
[Drahliana] says: [Darnassian] nor diel dorini shando da turus ano O alah turus andu
Linnet glances to Fandle and back to the elves, entranced. "Um...'s very good!"
[Wren] says: and find myself hunted by those who I once called kin
[Drahliana] says: [Darnassian] Mush'al O diel dal'dieb do shari al alah ethala do dor ishnu lo o Eburi
Meris shoots Yumeko a dirty look. "Hey!"
[Drahliana] says: [Darnassian] nor ash ishura do dor bandu lo dor
[Wren] says: Azshara I have returned to where we once danced to the songs of a Queen
Yumeko snickers quietly.
Veras glances at Meris, then up to Yumeko, then back to the circle
[Wren] says: and now listen to the drums of war
[Drahliana] says: [Darnassian] O alah diel nor nor no shando no belore
[Wren] says: I hunt this day and am hunted in return
Meris grumbles and sits back down to listen.
[Drahliana] says: [Darnassian] O fulo su diel ishnu ri shari diel diel
[Drahliana] says: [Darnassian] fal al'shar
[Wren] says: I call on that which is still ours here
[Wren] says: our history
[Drahliana] says: [Darnassian] nor fal shari do'rah ano shari turus nor ash lo ri
[Wren] says: and our great mother who still weeps for all of us
[Drahliana] says: [Darnassian] O diel andu do bandu diel dath dor alah diel
[Wren] says: I have come to claim that what was once ours
[Drahliana] says: [Darnassian] nor shar su ash fandu nei ano shar alah dath turus
[Wren] says: and with my bow shall see who will hunt whom today
[Drahliana] says: [Darnassian] no dor diel shari Ishura anar shan're
[Wren] says: in the land where Autumn lies eternal.
[Drahliana] says: thank you all
Wren smiles.
Linnet applauds at Drahliana. Bravo!
Sayyida claps excitedly for Drahliana.
Darlyn claps excitedly for Drahliana.
Rogier claps excitedly for Drahliana.
You clap excitedly for Drahliana.
Drahliana thanks Wren.
Cogitatus applauds at Drahliana. Bravo!
Dahla applauds at Drahliana. Bravo!
Fandle claps excitedly for Drahliana.
[Rogier] says: Very nice, lass.
Wren claps enthusiastically for Drahliana
Drahliana curtsies before Wren.
Deren claps excitedly for Drahliana.
Geril applauds. Bravo!
Calithos tips his hat once. "Quite lovely."
Sullivan claps excitedly.
Veras nods a few times, as he leans back on the palms of his hands
[Geril] says: Wonderful, wonderful.
[Dahla] says: Drahliana, thank you so much. That was... wonderful.
Cogitatus smiles at Drahliana.
Linnet nods enthusiastically.
[Wren] says: That was lovely, I'm glad I could be of help
Veras glances to the flame
[Veras] says: Seems fire likes me tonight.
Dahla smiles and grins at Wren. "Thank you for the translation, too. We could have been in quite a pickle without it."
Cogitatus laughs at Veras.
Cogitatus smiles at Wren.
[Dahla] says: Who next has something to share with us? Don't be shy after such a presentation... Story Night is about variety.
Wren grins at Dahla "Let's just hope I got it right"
Calithos hrms..and stands. "I have one of my stranger stories.."
Dahla smiles to Calithos and nods. "Please, spin us a tale."
Calithos smiles, one eye in his head, the other on Meris' head.
Cogitatus looks up at Calithos as he stands.
[Calithos] says: But first..I suppose I should explain Kitty.
Calithos holds his hand out, the eye leaping from Meris, into his hand.
[Calithos] says: It'll help explain a part of the story, anyway.
Calithos 's eye skitters about his body.
[Calithos] says: Kitty is a homunculus. A creature made of matter, and magic. A living creature made from what we use. Sort of a...child of the nether.
Sayyida covers her mouth with her hand for a moment.
Linnet stares, strangely fascinated.
Cogitatus 's smile fades slightly to give way to curiosity as he watches the moving eye.
[Rogier] says: A fantod.
Dahla bites her lip as she looks at "Kitty", but listens with interest.
Fandle 's eyes widen at Calithos, muttering under his breath, “Like a Golem."
Calithos tosses the eye in the air for a moment, he then makes a loud "GROO!" sound. "Sadly, that's all he can say. Or Arr. But you need a pirate hat with that."
[Calithos] says: Yes, quite like a golem. Except he uses vegetable matter, ichor, and blood.
[Calithos] says: So he's a squishy golem.
[Darlyn] says: Eh?
Cogitatus chuckles at Calithos.
[Darlyn] says: Squishy?
Meris glances over to Not-Really-Veras briefly
Calithos squeezes, a bit of ichor spewing from the iris, and falling into the fire, causing it to roar up once. "Squishy."
Dahla wrinkles her nose but grins despite herself.
Yumeko makes a face.
[Calithos] says: But anyway. To the story.
[Sayyida] says: Ew. Please.
Calithos twirls his eye, and shoves him back into his skull, the eye spinning a bit, then relaxing.
Linnet icks quietly to herself.
Cogitatus frowns slightly as he watches the fire flare up, but then turns back to Calithos with a neutral, but attentive expression on his face.
Fandle shivers faintly as he shakes his head, leaning forward to listen.
[Calithos] says: Now..about three weeks ago I listened to one of my more crazed friends, and they decided 'Hey, let's go somewhere where humans and Scourge work together to make our lives more miserable.'
Veras simply watches nonchalantly
Cogitatus laughs at Calithos.
[Calithos] says: Naturally, it was the School of magics. Necromantics, mostly. Where the Barovs once resided...Scholomance.
Dahla shudders, absently hugging herself. "A terrible place," she says softly.
Cogitatus 's smile from his previous laughter fades and returns to a neutral expression as he listens.
[Calithos] says: Now..normally I'm not one to listen to crazed ideas, but I had heard there was a powerful robe the necromancers held there that would be very useful.
[Calithos] says: In fact, and entire cloth set, that's rather powerful for anyone who wears it.
[Calithos] says: I believe they call it..the Necropile. Necromantic and arcane magics weaved to build powerful robes.
[Calithos] says: Now..I'm a bit of a collector of such artifacts, so I really didn't think of passing it up.
Yumeko leans forward, resting on the neck of her felsteed. She lightly runs a finger along the horse's jowl and along his throatlatch.
[Calithos] says: So..off we went. Me, the Pyromancer with an explosions addiction, and about eight other souls went to this horrid place.
Dahla murmurs, "Don't all Pyromancers have that addiction?"
[Calithos] says: Now..Scholomance, as many know, is rather quiet outside, but on the inside..
Cogitatus chuckles quietly at Dahla.
[Calithos] says: Monstrous lands in a house.
[Calithos] says: We ventured within, slowly traveling downwards into the house. Suddenly, we were greeted with a melee of skeletons clad in armor.
Linnet stares wide-eyed at Calithos.
[Calithos] says: About four of them. They looked to be what used to be Orcs, but their flesh was long gone. Probably used to feed the ghouls.
[Calithos] says: So me and another priest in the group had the idea to heed them to halt. Suddenly, several shackles sprung from the ground, pinning the skeletons by grabbing whatever they could and keeping death grips on them.
[Calithos] says: It seems our spell had worked...at least one two of them.
[Calithos] says: A gnome with us, Fizzle, decided to go blades in hand, slashing at one head. The dead thing didn't see it coming when an armor clad gnome leaped from a ground to slice off the head and work his way down.
Linnet cheers at Calithos!
Dahla leans forward, listening intently.
Cogitatus smiles and chuckles very quietly.
[Calithos] says: Down went one, now we had to deal with another. What Fizzle didn't expect was the other one, which cut into his gut, forcing him to fall. We were on a bridge like structure, and below us was close to a few dozen ghouls, hungry for flesh.
Yumeko blinks at Wendall.
Wendall scans the crowd, looking for Meris..
Dahla glances up at Wendall and gives him a small wave and smile.
Linnet stifles a gasp, leaning forward slightly.
Wendall smiles at Dahla.
Meris is still in leprechaun mode.
Wendall cheers!
Fandle clenches his hands excitedly in his lap, rocking faintly.
Sullivan continues listening to the tale.
[Calithos] says: Fizzle was hanging on by one hand, and the paladin crazily tackled the skeleton Orc. Bash bash bash into it with a mace. Rather amusing to watch, really.
Wendall leans over, giving Meris a slight hug.
Wendall listens intently to Calithos.
Yumeko blinks at Wendall.
[Calithos] says: Now. Down went to, and almost one of ours. We grabbed Fizzle and got him back on solid ground before he turned into Gnome kabobs. Plus I doubt anyone wants the amount of fat he has.
Meris shoots Wendall a look of warning, then goes back to listening to Calithos.
Veras glances to his left for only a second, then back to Calithos
Cogitatus chuckles at Calithos.
[Calithos] says: We then went after the skeletons pinned with Shackles. After spells of fire, and good old fashioned beating the marrow out of them, we got rid of them.
Sullivan grins as he pulls a small bag from his belt.
[Calithos] says: We proceeded, but we were more cautious. I also felt tempted to strangle my Pyromancer friend for bringing up the idea in the first place.
Cogitatus laughs at Calithos.
[Calithos] says: But after maybe..ten? Fifteen, maybe. We came across another large room. Ghostly undead, ghouls, and this time, living people.
Cogitatus shoos Great Goretusk away. Be gone pest!
[Calithos] says: Some tied up, some studying on the tied up...one was 'dissected'.
Calithos frowns as he says that.
Cogitatus frowns with disappointment at Calithos.
Yumeko blinks curiously.
[Calithos] says: And one was being prepared to be dissected. A Dwarven woman. She was screaming bloody murder. And soon it would have been hers.
Linnet shudders at "dissected".
Rogier may be drifting off.
Sayyida glances over at Rogier, then pinches him sharply.
Wren rubs her arms uneasily suddenly feeling chilled
[Calithos] says: So we leapt into action. Fizzle leapt onto one of the students, as we figured they were, and I even pulled out one of my lovely shadow spells. Apparently one of the spells mixed with an fire spell means the person also explodes from the inside out.
Meris quirks a brow at Calithos.
[Calithos] says: Because the person's abdomen burst like a pumpkin stuffed with dynamite.
Cogitatus mutters "Mmmm-Hmmm.... Interesting."
[Calithos] says: That sorta stopped everyone for like, an entire minute.
Dahla grimaces as she listens, looking a touch green.
[Calithos] says: Frozen in surprise, but apparently one of us not, an Elven hunter just began firing in the shock. Two in the head, one in the chest. Down all three went.
[Calithos] says: This sadly caused attention. Though the pyromancer had a perfect solution to it all.
Wendall looks over his shoulder, waving at Yumeko.
[Calithos] says: Blow them to smithereens.
Cogitatus laughs at Calithos.
Yumeko smiles slightly at Wendall.
[Calithos] says: And he basically threw bomb after bomb, his boiling hot hand lighting the fuse before he threw it.
[Calithos] says: After about a dozen bombs, we saw only two things come out.
[Calithos] says: One of the 'tutors' that was incorporeal, and one of the students..who more or less left his body to attack us again.
[Calithos] says: When they meant dedication beyond flesh, the literally meant they left the flesh behind.
[Cogitatus] says: Why... am I *not* surprised?
Meris smirks at Cogitatus.
[Calithos] says: So we kept throwing blasts of magic at the two, sorta panicked. After maybe ten minutes of explosions, we got rid of them.
Linnet smiles at Fandle.
Cogitatus smirks back at Meris, then returns his attention to Calithos.
Linnet blinks at Calithos.
[Calithos] says: I went over to the other bodies, seeing if any other students would leave their bodies to scare the fuck outta us.
[Calithos] says: Luckily, only one of them did..and we found out why.
[Calithos] says: We was covered in head to toe in Necropile.
Fandle smiles at Linnet.
[Calithos] says: Sadly, the robe and pants were ruined.
[Calithos] says: ...So I calmly grave robbed him.
[Calithos] says: Because I find nothing wrong with grave robbing a body after they tried to kill you.
Fandle shakes his head with a faint sigh, listening raptly to Calithos.
Cogitatus laughs at Calithos.
[Calithos] says: It's like an eye for an eye...and a ring...and gold...and some lovely boots.
[Calithos] says: So! I now found three pieces of this reliced cloth. A new robe and pants, and I would never have to darken this place again.
[Calithos] says: So, after a series of killing and exploding dozens of undead. I swear they couldn't pack them in anymore.
[Sullivan] says: You are welcome.
Sullivan bows before Podme.
[Calithos] says: We came to this large..rather lively room.
[Calithos] says: And by lively, I mean living people.
[Calithos] says: We looked up past them all, there was a lich at a podium. Apparently we walked in on a class, not being noticed.
[Calithos] says: A couple 'students' looked at us, but paid no heed.
[Calithos] says: ...Until Fizzle saw a female elf.
[Cogitatus] says: Wait, would this be Fizzlepocket?
Drahliana waves at Yumeko.
[Calithos] says: ...sadly.
Yumeko tilts her head curiously at Drahliana.
[Cogitatus] says: Uh-ohhhh.....
[Calithos] says: So...after saying "Hey, great ass babe!" And decided to perform a series of Pelvic thrusts, suggestive comments, and...apparently offering her a flask of whatever it is he brews.
[Cogitatus] says: ...he got everyone else’s attention.
Drahliana leaves in a silent gesture of reluctant farewell
Yumeko mumbles something about Gnomes.
[Calithos] says: Oh, he brought attention.
Drahliana bows down graciously.
Cogitatus waves at Drahliana.
[Calithos] says: He brought alot of attention.
Calithos tips his hat to Drahliana
Sullivan bows before Drahliana.
Yumeko curtsies before Drahliana.
Cogitatus sits there and nods his head.
[Calithos] says: Everyone heard him say "DYKE!" when she told him to piss off.
Wendall shakes his head.
Rogier leans over and whispers to Sayyida.
[Calithos] says: Yeah. Imagine to my surprise.
Linnet gasps at Calithos.
Meris glances over to Wendall curiously.
Cogitatus chuckles quietly.
Wren welcomes Turacy.
Linnet smiles at Turacy.
[Calithos] says: We then saw a Lich slowly hovering towards us.
Turacy nods at Wren.
Turacy nods at Linnet.
[Calithos] says: And we saw him pulling out a blade made out of ice.
Linnet scotches over to make room for Turacy.
Turacy thanks Linnet.
[Calithos] says: We thought it would be a good time to...yanno. Run screaming like schoolgirls.
Cogitatus laughs at Calithos.
[Calithos] says: Which we did. With much gusto!
Sayyida looks at Rogier wide-eyed.
Wren quietly snickers to herself.
[Cogitatus] says: Probably a wise move.
[Calithos] says: Oh, quite. We were getting close to the exit, but we forgot. We kinda blew up the door's closing mechanism. And we would have to leave someone behind to close it.
[Cogitatus] says: Why is Fizzlepocket's name suddenly jumping to my mind?
A sly smirk spreads across Cogitatus's face.
[Calithos] says: I then had the idea of Kitty doing it. He's basically their cousins, so they wouldn't eat him, or squish him.
Sayyida grasps Rogier's arm a little more tightly than before.
[Turacy] says: yes.... I was just thinking about him...
[Calithos] says: So I ripped Kitty from my skull, and threw him ahead of us.
Cogitatus falls silent and listens intently.
[Calithos] says: So we ran like hell. And we did not feel like stopping. The elf was forced to carry Fizzle, who was a back pack driver.
Trinton snickers at Catrilia.
[Calithos] says: "Wait! Let me get her pho-oh god her skin fell off FASTER FASTER!"
Catrilia pokes Trinton. Hey!
Rogier grins at Sayyida.
[Turacy] says: its suddenly very cold...
Linnet snickers softly.
Turacy lets out a hacking cough.
[Calithos] says: So. We ran like hell, and Kitty, grabbing the lever like a squid, kept banging against it till it closed.
[Calithos] says: He then had to race through a series of ghoul legs and dresses to get through.
[Calithos] says: Now...my eye was almost squished several times, but I can tell you.
Calithos snickers a bit. "Black is apparently the preferred panty color of Scholomance."
Wren unwraps a candy and pops it into her mouth, chewing noisily
Turacy stares Wren down.
Linnet blinks at Wren.
Sayyida looks at Wren, seeming intrigued.
Deren wonder when wren got so big
Wren holds out a hand and notices the orange tinge to her skin and sighs
Calithos believes /stare does not get it's message across either. Much like /frown
Turacy mutters: "glad I didn’t bring the students to this
[Turacy] says: what was that?
[Calithos] says: But. Now I have a nice set of bracers, a nice pair of boots, and some good shoulders...and if I'm ballsy enough, I'll go back.
Wren mutters quietly "I keep having strange reactions to this candy, I don't think it was made with elves in mind"
Sayyida looks back at the voidwalker and smiles widely.
Meris glances back over her shoulder at Nellisynthia, giving her a wave.
[Calithos] says: And that, is that.
Calithos bows before Wren.
Geril cheers!
Wren claps excitedly for Calithos.
Geril is filled with happiness!
Dahla applauds at Calithos. Bravo!
Linnet looks around...
Sayyida claps excitedly for Calithos.
Linnet claps excitedly.
You applaud at Calithos. Bravo!
Cogitatus claps excitedly for Calithos.
Jorii claps excitedly for Calithos.
Sayyida smiles at Mezznuz.
Turacy heaves the heavy boar out of the way
Shaun claps excitedly for Calithos.
Turacy claps excitedly for Calithos.
Nellisynthia sits down in the back of the circle, a quiet lass, beneath the shadow of her protector
Linnet digs in her bags for her own candy.
Dahla looks around the circle at the new faces, smiling as she sees each. "Thank you, Calithos, for that... chilling tale."
Linnet gasps.
Wren gasps at Linnet.
[Dahla] says: Perhaps we have someone who'd like to lighten the mood a little?
Dahla blinks at Linnet.
[Linnet] says: Oh dear.
[Rogier] says: I've a song, lass.
Sayyida bursts out coughing.
[Rogier] says: It's a love song.
Linnet shudders.
[Aprilleros] says: yeah uh yeah..
Wendall winks slyly at you.
Dahla smiles at Rogier. "Love to hear it, sir."
[Sayyida] says: Oh, Rogier. You're sure?
Linnet whispers, "I think I've had enough candy."
Turacy whispers to linnet "what about blackberry tarts?"
[Rogier] says: I've never sailed into a port where they didn't appreciate folk songs, lass.
Rogier heaves himself to his feet.
Wren pats Linnet reassuringly
Sayyida nods and attempts to look supportive.
Linnet looks at Turacy, perking up a bit.
Rogier clears his throat and begins to sing in a rough-edged baritone.
[Rogier] says: There was a lass, a charming lass, and she had a wandering eye
[Rogier] says: She went down to the seashore, to see what she could spy
[Rogier] says: And there she saw a fine young lad, and studied him foot to knee
[Rogier] says: And then she said, "You're not ideal, but you're good enough for me."
Sayyida hums along with the tune.
Dahla laughs softly as she listens.
Geril nods his head along with the song.
Rogier claps his hands a bit for the chorus. Which has no words, but much hand-clapping.
Aprilleros claps excitedly.
Turacy leans back on his hands, laying his blade on the ground behind him
[Rogier] says: She took him home beneath the earth to a cozy little room
[Rogier] says: He ducked his head and squeezed inside and said "I must assume
Sullivan grins.
Wren leans back and smiles as she listens
[Rogier] says: "That you've an answer to the pressing problem that we face?"
[Rogier] says: She just smiled and nodded twice and showed him to his place.
Sayyida claps and grins as if she's heard it a dozen times before.
Turacy grins wickedly.
[Rogier] says: But before he lay down on the bed he protested again:"
[Rogier] says: The differences between us, dear, make this attempt insane.
[Rogier] says: "I'm twice your size and twice your weight; do you know what you've brought home?
[Rogier] says: "Look at my skin; I am a troll, and you're a charming gnome."
Linnet gasps.
Aprilleros rolls on the floor laughing.
Turacy laughs.
Aprilleros lies down.
Rogier performs the handclapping again, with vim and vigor.
Wren grins broadly
Dahla bursts out laughing, clapping along with the chorus.
[Rogier] says: She heaved a sigh and said to him, "We're the smartest race around,"
[Rogier] says: And if you trust my canny ways I'll show you what I've found."
[Rogier] says: He heaved a sigh but kept his tongue and laid himself to rest
[Rogier] says: She smiled once more and brought a crystal vial from a chest.
Sayyida claps along, mouthing the words.
Sullivan grins with a surprised expression.
[Rogier] says: The vial had a label, which she turned for him to see
[Rogier] says: When he read what was written there he said, "Then I agree!"
[Rogier] says: He took the flask and drank from it and then he soundly kissed her.
[Rogier] says: In seconds he was just her size, thanks to Noggenfogger Elixir.
Geril shakes his head slowly, unable to hold back a creeping smile.
Aprilleros cheers!
[Sirithil] says: The circle's smaller than I remember it being.
Yumeko giggles at Rogier.
Meris makes a face at Rogier
Naiama nods.
Wren cheers!
Wendall waves at Portencia.
[Rogier] says: Hush up, lass, there's a man singing! And clapping. Where was I?
[Calithos] says: Oh, Miss Sirithil. So good to see you. Sadly, you missed a story.
[Turacy] says: I’m gunna take my leave, time to become a hound
Portencia waves at Wendall.
Turacy salutes Rogier with respect.
Sayyida keeps clapping in time.
Turacy bows before Rogier.
Turacy apologizes to Rogier. Sorry!
Meris glances over to Sirithil and gives her a wave.
Calithos tips his hat to her.
Wendall waves at Sirithil.
Linnet blinks at Turacy.
Dahla gives Sirithil a small wave before going back to clapping along.
[Rogier] says: The night wore on, and they wore out their bodies and her bed --
[Rogier] says: He fell asleep upon her pillow as she stroked his head.
Sirithil waves at you.
Sirithil waves at Wendall.
[Rogier] says: When she awoke to morning's sun, she found that he had gone
[Rogier] says: But she just smiled and shrugged and stretched, and welcomed in the dawn.
Linnet scotches over a bit.
Rogier claps again, with drama this time.
[Rogier] says: Now, some would think the story ended with that potent drink
[Rogier] says: But nine months passed and she found herself not knowing what to think.
Cogitatus nods and smile at Sirithil, then turns his attention back to Rogier.'
Rogier waggles his eyebrows.
[Rogier] says: Her belly held a baby boy -- the birth was quite a shock,
[Rogier] says: For the progeny of troll and gnome turns out to be...
Sayyida nods at the crowd, a sad smile on her face.
Rogier pauses.
[Aprilleros] says: goblins
Rogier coughs.
Meris waits for it
Dahla waits.
[Rogier] says: My throat's dry. Does anyone have an ale?
[Sayyida] says: Rogier! Stop taunting them!
Dahla laughs. "Tell us!"
Naiama wonders if this'll be gross.
Cogitatus chuckles.
Nellisynthia can't help but smile, just a little.
[Aprilleros] says: leper gnomes?
[Sayyida] says: I'll tell them if you don't!
Rogier rolls his eyes happily.
[Rogier] says: ... murloc!
Wendall gasps.
Portencia snickers.
[Naiama] says: Augh.
Sayyida cheers!
Linnet blinks.
[Meris] says: Murlocs?
Dahla shakes her head, laughing and groaning at the same time.
Sayyida cheers!
Wendall waves at Portencia.
Wren laughs.
[Aprilleros] says: yeah but 'ow did that fit..
Geril lets out a laugh that he tried to hold in.
Linnet smiles.
[Geril] says: It's magic.
Adieana waves.
[Sirithil] says: Not... murlocs!
Shaun smirks. "Should tell Strand."
[Aprilleros] says: the magic of murlocs
Rogier makes a tremendously sweeping bow.
Wren cheers at Rogier!
Sayyida drags Rogier down to kiss him soundly.
Linnet claps excitedly for Rogier.
Sullivan claps excitedly for Rogier.
Naiama laughs at Great Goretusk.
Rogier kisses back contentedly.
Dahla applauds at Rogier. Bravo!
Aprilleros claps excitedly for Rogier.
[Sirithil] says: Can we perhaps endeavor to not leave dead pigs in front of me?
Naiama winks at Sirithil as she stows away the leather.
Wren looks up at Yumeko with concern and glances around the clearing
Nellisynthia frowns and looks up to her best friend. "There's something fishy about that tale, Mezzy.'
Cogitatus chuckles quietly in response to Sirithil.
Sirithil waves at Nellisynthia.
Dahla grins at Rogier. "Thank you so very much for that song!"
Sayyida grins back at the gnome.
Rogier chortles at Nellisynthia.
[Aprilleros] says: can you please endeavor not to get in front of my dead pigs
[Wren] says: Excellent Song!
Aprilleros has trouble on the word "endeavor"
[Aprilleros] says: Aye
[Sirithil] says: I was here before the pig was.
Nellisynthia applauds. Bravo!
Linnet lets Hopper down to play.
[Cogitatus] says: I believe Siri is correct, on that point.
A sly smirk spreads across Cogitatus's face.
[Aprilleros] says: I don't
[Aprilleros] says: But no matter lets not start an argument
[Dahla] says: Now, to follow that, who has something to share?
Geril clears his throat.
[Aprilleros] says: ugh
Portencia gently pats Orange Tabby.
Geril raises his hand slowly.
Meris thinks for a moment, then nods at Geril.
Dahla grins at Geril. "Please, Geril. More words of wisdom?"
Wendall waves at Portencia.
Linnet scratches Hopper behind his long ears.
Sirithil waves at Nellisynthia.
[Geril] says: Okay, once again, I bring to you a bit of wisdom from the far removed translations of the holy light.
[Adieana] says: I need to get to Elwynn forest
Aprilleros raises his hand in the air.
[Aprilleros] says: Read inter linea eh?
[Sirithil] says: Go west, you can't miss it.
[Rogier] says: Navigating on land's easy, lass.
[Geril] says: Once, on my travels, I came upon a particular translation of the faith that believed knowing the light was not enough, but that they must also know everything else they can possibly learn.
[Geril] says: Thus, their teachers became something of a priestly status.
[Geril] says: Well, they have their high teachers too. A particular one shared with me a bit of wisdom about dreaming.
Meris quirks a brow, listening intently to Geril
[Geril] says: The teacher once dreamt that he was a butterfly fluttering about in a grassy field. He was completely unaware of separate human existence.
[Geril] says: Inevitably, he woke up, and found himself once more a conscious person.
[Geril] says: However, he had to wonder, was he before a person dreaming about being a butterfly? Or is he a butterfly dreaming about being a person?
[Aprilleros] says: I think he is a loon
Geril nods his head and takes his seat.
Wren applauds at Geril. Bravo!
Cogitatus applauds at Geril. Bravo!
Dahla applauds at Geril. Bravo!
Sullivan smiles at Geril.
Sirithil claps excitedly for Geril.
Linnet nods.
Jorii claps excitedly for Geril.
Linnet claps excitedly.
Aprilleros claps excitedly.
You clap excitedly for Geril.
Rogier looks perplexed but claps with a will.
Shaun claps.
Sirithil disagrees with the entire notion, of course, but applauds nonetheless.
Dahla looks over and smiles. "Thank you, Geril! For more things to ponder on."
[Dahla] says: Hey, Wren?
[Dahla] says: There are cookies by the fire.
[Wren] says: Hey Dahla!
[Sirithil] says: Oooh, cookies.
[Wren] says: hmm?
Dahla nods, sagely. "For you."
Wren stands and walks over to investigate
[Wren] says: Hey.... there's no
[Wren] says: Oh I see
[Dahla] says: And thank you for volunteering a tale!
[Cogitatus] says: Mmmm.... If people are hungry, I have food, as well.
Linnet giggles.
Cogitatus smiles.
Wren sighs at Dahla.
Sirithil laughs at Wren.
[Wren] says: well then
Rogier laughs.
Wren scratches her head and thinks
Yumeko giggles at Veras.
[Wren] says: I suppose I might have something I could tell
Shaun makes a few apologetic gestures and slips away.
Cogitatus waves at Shaun.
Wendall smiles at you.
Dahla waves at Shaun as he leaves, then looks back to Wren.
[Wren] says: I think I heard this one at a seedy little place on the edge of the barrens..
[Wren] says: There once was a tribe of trolls, the ones who most loved to fight were the trolls of the Firegrin clan.
[Sirithil] says: Ew, trolls.
[Wren] says: They were always rushing off to attack another clan's village, or defending themselves from a clan that had come for revenge.
Cogitatus tries to place the fire so as not to burn Wren.
[Wren] says: They neglected their hunting. They neglected their fishing. They got so bad, they felt lost when they weren't fighting.
Wren steps back carefully and smiles at Cogitatus
Cogitatus smiles at Wren.
[Wren] says: They just sat around and waited for the next war. And every year, there were fewer of them left alive.
Meris whispers to Wendall
[Wren] says: Now, into this clan was born a pair of twins whose names were Chubak and Udoga. The Firegrin were careful to honor the boys, because they knew that twins are good luck.
Wendall grins at you wickedly.
[Wren] says: Besides, there was something special about those two. By the time they were five years old, they were wiser than anyone else in the village.
[Wren] says: So both the men and the women of the clan often came to them for advice.
Sirithil thinks that would be easy. ;)
Wendall nods sagely to Meris.
Portencia reaches over and scratches the tabby behind the ears, listening intently.
Wendall waves at Portencia.
[Wren] says: One day, a Firegrin hunter found that one of his traps had been sprung, but the animal was missing. He could tell from the signs that the animal was a weasel and it had been taken by a man of the Zaksuli clan.
Aprilleros raises his hand in the air.
Aprilleros raises his hand in the air, wanting the answer to a question
Wren looks at Aprilleros
Meris gives Wendall a shocked look.
Wren pauses "hmm?"
Sirithil wonders what Meris and Wendall are whispering about.
[Aprilleros] says: Didn't you say the Firegrin didn't hunt? So how was there a firegrin that set the trap out eh?
[Sirithil] says: Hush and let her tell her tale.
Wendall smiles at you.
Cogitatus chuckles softly in response to Aprilleros, but remains otherwise silent.
[Wren] says: I said they neglected their hunting, they didn’t give it up entirely
Wren smiles
Cogitatus smiles at Wren.
[Wren] says: they just didn't do as much as they should have
Wendall nods at you.
Aprilleros nods.
[Wren] says: hence the traps when they could have been out with bow and arrow
Aprilleros nods.
[Sirithil] says: Y'know.
[Sirithil] says: You could put someone's eye out with that thing.
[Aprilleros] says: Its a patent pig prodder
Meris glares at Aprilleros. "Idiot'.
[Cogitatus] says: A little more caution, please.
Wren pauses to find think where she was in her story
[Geril] says: Don't do that again, you might get hurt.
[Sirithil] says: The weasel was missing from the trap.
[Aprilleros] says: oh it won't hurt me
[Wren] says: ah right
[Aprilleros] says: yeah the other clan guy had taken the weasel
[Geril] says: I know it won't hurt you. We will.
[Aprilleros] says: Zaksuli
Calithos hrms, listening.
Portencia gently pats Orange Tabby.
[Aprilleros] says: Sirithil please don't do that you might hurt someone
Wendall waves at Portencia.
Cogitatus covers his eyes from the arcane explosion.
[Wren] says: All the Firegrin men rushed off eagerly to get ready their spears, knives, bows, and arrows.
[Wren] says: "Not again!" cried the chief's wife. "Is a weasel worth killing and dying for?"
[Wren] says: "We are men," said the chief. "Must a man not fight?"
[Wren] says: "You are men!" screamed his wife. "Must a man be stupid?"
Kurlann kneels down.
Dahla glances back at Cuprifex and smiles, giving a wave.
Cogitatus laughs at Wren.
Linnet giggles.
Cuprifex waves back, grinning.
Rogier laughs at Wren.
[Wren] says: She went with the other Firegrin women to talk with the twins. "Udoga, Chubak, tell the men to stay home. We've had enough fighting and killing!"
Yumeko snickers quietly.
[Wren] says: Chubak said to Udoga, "She's right, brother. There's been enough war."
[Wren] says: Udoga told the women, "We'll see what we can do."
Kurlann kneels down.
[Wren] says: Not long after, the men also came to the twins. "Chubak, Udoga," said the chief, "give us your counsel."
Wendall winks slyly at you.
[Wren] says: Chubak picked up a warrior's bow. "Never has a clan been so insulted! If the thief had taken a sable, we could forgive him. The skin of a sable has value. But a weasel skin is almost worthless.
Meris quirks a brow at Wendall, muttering 'What?" under her breath
[Wren] says: It must have been taken just to shame us. If we are shamed, we have no honor. If we have no honor, we are dead. The Zaksulis have killed us!"
Yumeko boggles at Kurlann.
[Wren] says: Udoga picked up a spear. "The Zaksulis have killed us, so now we must kill them back. All their men must die. Death to the Zaksulis!"
[Wren] says: "Death to the Zaksulis!" cried the men. "Death to the Zaksulis!"
Cogitatus is still smiling slightly, but arches an eyebrow as he listens to Wren.
Kurlann glances at Yumeko a moment.
Sirithil thinks this sounds like trolls, all right.
Naiama glances at Sirithil.
Dahla tips her head to one side as she listens.
[Wren] says: "But wait!" said Udoga. "This is no ordinary war. The Zaksulis are so evil, the place where they live is evil too. We must not let this evil touch us. We must take a vow not to eat any food from their land or drink a single drop of their water."
Aprilleros thinks" Those guys weren't wise they just told be what they wanted to hear"
[Wren] says: "We swear it! We swear it! Death to the Zaksulis! Death to the Zaksulis!"
[Wren] says: The women were sad. "What hope do we have," said the chief's wife, "when even the twins go to war." So they set about preparing the men's food.
[Wren] says: The next morning, the men loaded themselves with as much food and water as they could carry. Then, taking the twins with them, they started off to the Zaksuli village.
[Wren] says: They walked all day. It was slow, hard going, with all they had to carry. So the farther they went, the angrier they were at the Zaksulis.
[Wren] says: At last they came upon some Zaksuli women gathering berries. Chubak called, "You women! We are coming to your village! We won't leave a single man alive! “The women ran off to warn their men.
[Wren] says: "Why did you let them know?" said the chief in dismay. "With all we're carrying, those women will get to the village long before we do. The men will hide in the lodges, and we'll have to wait them out!"
[Wren] says: "What is that to us?" said Udoga. "Nothing they do can save them."
Sirithil leans her head on Naiama's shoulder.
Naiama scoots closer to Sirithil.
[Wren] says: The Firegrin reached the village, but the Zaksuli men were already hiding inside. They were not like the Firegrin. They did not want to fight. They wanted to stay put till those crazy Firegrin went home!
Calithos hrms, listening intently.
Wendall waves at Portencia.
Cogitatus chuckles at the words "crazy Firegrin".
[Wren] says: The Firegrin hid all around the village in the tall grass and the bushes. They knew that sooner or later the Zaksuli troll-men would have to come out.
[Wren] says: They would need to hunt and fish. Then they would have to face the Firegrin.
[Wren] says: The next morning, the Zaksuli men did not come out. But the women came out.
Aprilleros yawns sleepily.
Wren grins faintly as she continues
[Wren] says: And they carried big sticks.
[Wren] says: "You stupid Firegrin!" yelled the wife of the Zaksuli chief. "Why don't you go back to your village where you belong!"
Dahla quirks a brow, leaning in to listen.
Cuprifex thanks Aprilleros.
[Wren] says: Then the troll-women searched for the Firegrin trolls in the grass and the bushes. When a woman found one, she beat him with her stick.
Aprilleros cooks some pork over the fire
Sirithil giggles at Wren.
Linnet snickers.
[Wren] says: "Be brave!" cried Udoga to the men. "Remember, you must never hit a woman!" The chief called, "But what if the woman-OW!-does not act-OW!-like a woman?-OW!"
Cogitatus chuckles softly.
Naiama grins wickedly at Wren.
Sirithil laughs at Wren.
[Wren] says: "What does that matter?" called Chubak. "We are men. How could a woman hurt us?"
[Wren] says: "OW!" replied the chief.
Dahla giggles at Wren.
Cuprifex snickers.
Nellisynthia smiles and ohs ....
Cogitatus chuckles.
Geril grins very slightly.
[Wren] says: Day after day, they waited for the Zaksuli men. Day after day, the women came out and beat them. The Firegrin men were brave (but bruised).
Sirithil likes this story. Silly trolls.
[Wren] says: Then their food ran out. “Remember your vow!" Chubak told them. "We will take no food from this evil land!" "But how can we fight without food?" asked the chief. “Don’t worry!" said Chubak. "It won't be long now!"
Linnet giggles.
[Wren] says: So they were brave a little longer. Then their water ran out. “Remember your vow!" said Udoga. "Not a drop of water from this place of evil!" "But we can't last long without water," said the chief. "We won't have to," said Udoga.
[Wren] says: "We've almost won!"
Dahla gives Dugald a smile and wave, but is otherwise intent on how the story ends.
Sirithil laughs at Wren.
Cogitatus chuckles at Wren.
Wendall salutes Dugald with respect.
[Wren] says: So they were brave a little longer. Then their patience ran out. "What kind of war is this?" said the chief. "We're so weak from hunger and thirst, we can barely hold our spears!"
Yumeko folds her arms, glancing at Dugald.
[Wren] says: "We are men," said Chubak. "When honor is at stake, how can we complain of hardship?" So they were brave a little longer.
Kurlann kneels down.
Aprilleros puts on a fur coat
[Wren] says: At last the Zaksuli chief appeared. He came out to plead with the Firegrin chief. "Please," he said, "can't we talk and settle this without fighting?"
Cogitatus smiles, clearly quite amused by the story.
Nellisynthia looks up to Mezzy, "They are going to brave themselves to death!"
[Wren] says: "How can talk restore honor?" said Udoga. "We will be satisfied only by a great gift." "Yes," said Chubak. "A gift such as never given before."
Meris glances over to Dugald and gives him a cautious nod.
[Wren] says: The Zaksuli chief trembled. "What do you want?"
Dugald nods back at Meris.
[Wren] says: Udoga said, "You must give us . . . the skin of the weasel!"
Yumeko blinks.
Sirithil blinks too.
[Wren] says: Both the chiefs stared at the twins in astonishment. Then the Zaksuli chief ran back to tell the good news
[Wren] says: The Firegrin chief's face grew red. "Was that such a great gift? Is that why we starved and suffered? For nothing but the skin of a weasel?"
Elaran waves.
[Wren] says: "The weasel skin sent us to war," said Chubak. "Why shouldn't it send us home?"
Dahla smiles and waves at Elaran.
Cogitatus is snickering, just barely keeping from laughing out loud.
Linnet smiles at Elaran.
Cogitatus laughs at Wren.
[Wren] says: When the Firegrin got back to their village, the chief told his wife, "What a war that was! The most terrible war of all! We never want to go to war again!" And they didn't-thanks to Udoga and Chubak.
[Sirithil] says: Smartest. Troll. Ever.
Elaran grins wickedly at Linnet.
Dahla grins wickedly at Wren.
Cogitatus cackles maniacally at Wren.
Wren bows down graciously.
Cogitatus agrees with Sirithil.
Linnet smiles at Wren.
Linnet claps excitedly for Wren.
Rogier laughs.
Sirithil applauds at Wren. Bravo!
Dahla applauds at Wren. Bravo!
Meris claps for Wren.
Naiama grins wickedly.
Geril smiles, appreciating the story.
Dugald claps excitedly for Elaran.
Cuprifex applauds at Wren. Bravo!
Sullivan claps excitedly for Wren.
Kurlann applauds at Wren. Bravo!
Geril applauds. Bravo!
[Aprilleros] says: .....
Deren claps excitedly for Wren.
Naiama claps excitedly for Wren.
Yumeko claps excitedly for Wren.
Rogier claps excitedly for Wren.
[Aprilleros] says: What’s the point?
Jorii claps excitedly for Wren.
Nellisynthia applauds. Bravo!
Sayyida claps excitedly for Wren.
Cogitatus applauds at Wren. Bravo!
Calithos claps excitedly.
Aprilleros lets out a long, drawn-out sigh.
Sirithil applauds at Wren. Bravo!
Aprilleros claps excitedly.
Dahla beams at Wren. "Thank you for being a good sport -- and a better storyteller, Wren!"
Cogitatus smiles at Wren.
[Dahla] says: Well then, who else has something to share with us this evening?
[Cogitatus] says: Ow....
Wren inclines her head to Dahla and grins
Cogitatus sighs at Great Goretusk.
Elaran nods at Sirithil approvingly.
Veras stretches
[Veras] says: I still have a tale for tonight.
Sayyida leans her head on Rogier's shoulder.
Rogier looks over at Veras.
Sirithil glances up at the oddly familiar voice.
Meris sighs and looks to Veras.
Elaran blinks at Veras.
Dahla eyes Veras. "Certainly, Miss -- er, Mister Pirate." She smiles and sits back down.
[Rogier] says: Did ya have a bosom a little while ago, lad?
Nellisynthia blinks, looks up, a hand coming to her mouth.
Cuprifex re-seats himself nearer the fire.
Sayyida glares at Rogier.
[Veras] says: Call me the shape shifter, eh?
Elaran looks...confused, for a moment.
Rogier puts an arm around Sayyida.
Sirithil waves at Cuprifex.
Veras stands and dusts himself off
Naiama looks curiously at Veras.
[Geril] says: are you calling him fat?
Cuprifex waves back at Sirithil, winking.
[Elaran] says: He looks...piratey to me.
Cuprifex eyes the shape shifter calmly.
[Veras] says: Alright, my tale tonight is one about the sky, or more to the point. The Moon.
Veras glances around
Elaran peers at the unknown person, looking slightly uneasy.
[Veras] says: Some of you may not look up enough to know; but Azeroth has two moons.
Naiama laughs at Veras.
Cuprifex chuckles.
Sirithil nods at Veras.
[Aprilleros] says: Your mums bosoms be one of em?
Cogitatus laughs at Veras.
[Veras] says: The first, large and White; aptly named White Woman, has been there for a long.... Long time.
[Veras] says: Our second Moon, Blue Child, however, did not always grace our skies.
[Jorii] says: I got a guild meeting to attend to bye all it was fun and nice stories
Elaran waves goodbye to Jorii. Farewell!
Jorii waves goodbye to everyone. Farewell!
Wren waves at Jorii.
Cogitatus waves goodbye to Jorii. Farewell!
[Veras] says: This tale, is one of truth, and one of history.
Veras smirks
[Veras] says: Though I may embellish a bit.
Wren settles back to listen
Veras takes a deep breath and turns his eyes skyward
Wendall waves at Portencia.
Naiama looks up and sees leaves.
Portencia blinks.
[Veras] says: Long ago, when the Dragonflights flew in the thousands, there were two Aspects. Two patrons of their flight who were very close.
[Veras] says: Ysera, The Dreamer, and Maylgos, The Spell Weaver.
Yumeko smiles at Galaphile.
Aprilleros raises his hand in the air.
Aprilleros raises his hand in the air, wanting to ask another question
Dahla shifts and crosses her legs, resting chin on palms and elbows on knees to listen.
Veras glances to Aprilleros
[Veras] says: Yes?
[Aprilleros] says: I heard of them too, but what about the other one taeror, is he an aspect?
[Veras] says: Taeror? There is no such aspect as far as I know.
[Aprilleros] says: oh wait..
[Naiama] says: Aspects have consorts, though.
[Aprilleros] says: So is Ysera a dragon?
[Veras] says: This tale centers around the Blue and Green though.
[Aprilleros] says: or an aspect?
Veras smirks
[Aprilleros] says: of the aspect of the dragon?
[Sayyida] says: I'd like to hear the story!
Naiama nods!
[Veras] says: A Dragon Aspect. I'll explain after if you are curious.
Aprilleros nods.
Veras returns to his story, looking back at the crowd
Wendall whispers to Meris.
Cuprifex shoos Great Goretusk away. Be gone pest!
Wendall blinks at Yumeko.
[Veras] says: Some of you may know the tale of Deathwing's betrayal, for those of you don't? Well come to Story Telling next week.
Veras grins toothily
Dahla grins back at Veras.
Cogitatus chuckles at Veras.
[Sirithil] says: Oooh, Deathwing.
Elaran raises an eyebrow.
[Veras] says: Suffice it to say, in a single day, the dragon flights were scattered. And Ysera and Maylgos lost contact with each other.
[Veras] says: The tragedy was great.... but even more pain was coming.
[Veras] says: Hundreds of years passed... before Ysera once again set eyes on her companion, Maylgos.
Naiama is shaking something in her hand, but quickly puts it away and concentrates on Veras.
Cuprifex shifts on the ground slightly.
Veras waves a hand through the air
Elaran listens intently to Veras.
Portencia raises a brow.
[Veras] says: Some people Ysera tracked down The Spell Weaver near the Moonglade, near Winterspring.
Sirithil grins at Naiama.
[Veras] says: It is there I will place their meeting. The exact words they traded were unknown. But it is guessed that they were few.
[Veras] says: For While Ysera had dealt with the betrayal of Deathwing.... Maylogs had *not*.
[Veras] says: Malygos and Deathwing has been Kin, Brothers.
Aprilleros is hopelessly confused.
[Veras] says: Maylgos; had gone insane.
Sirithil makes no effort to unconfuse him. She, on the other hand, is following the tale just fine.
Veras trails his eyes around the crowd
Aprilleros doesn't want anyone to unconfuse him because he is a confused person and enjoys being confused
[Veras] says: And so Ysera, coming to meet her once lover.... was met with battle.
Cuprifex will be right back.
Cogitatus , like Dugald, is thankful to the Light that he can't hear other people's thoughts.
[Veras] says: The one part, of the conversation, we *do* know.... is Maylgos's words before ripping out Ysera's left eye.
Naiama frowns.
[Veras] says: "Never again will I be betrayed; never again will I love."
Linnet gasps.
[Rogier] says: Nobody on the far side of th'fire should ever play poker.
Rogier goes back to listening to the story.
Sirithil checks her notes.
Aprilleros , like cogitators for some reason thinks the same thing cogitators does like his thoughts were being write down very neatly in orange, but that’s silly so Aprilleros listens to the story
Meris shoots Not-Veras a pained glance.
Kurlann kneels down.
Elaran sighs quietly and shakes her head.
Portencia raises a brow, glancing to her left.
Wendall smiles happily at Portencia, nodding.
Wren listens intently to Veras.
[Veras] says: And with those words he lay low Ysera, their battle coming to a swift end. The Green Aspect, The Dreamer, plummeted from the skies. And Maylgos left Ysera's eye there before returning to where he still hides.
Naiama glances behind her at Wendall.
[Veras] says: That, is how we gained our second moon.
Wendall waves at Naiama.
Naiama waves at Wendall.
[Veras] says: It is the eye of a Dragon. The eye of Ysera.
[Aprilleros] says: She had a floating eye?
[Linnet] says: Oh my.
[Cogitatus] says: I see.
Linnet claps excitedly for Veras.
Cogitatus applauds at Veras. Bravo!
Rogier claps excitedly for Veras.
Veras looks to Aprilleros and smiles
Wren applauds at Veras. Bravo!
Sullivan smiles at Veras.
Dahla nods thoughtfully, saying quietly, "And that's how she sees all."
[Veras] says: He isn't called the Spell Weaver, for nothing.
Sirithil claps excitedly for Veras.
Kurlann nods at Veras.
Geril applauds. Bravo!
Elaran applauds at Veras. Bravo!
Dahla applauds at Veras. Bravo!
[Rogier] says: That's a good teachin' story. Not too long.
Aprilleros claps excitedly.
Meris claps for Veras.
[Aprilleros] says: aye
Veras then sits
[Aprilleros] says: aye
Wendall leans over to whisper to Portencia.
Nellisynthia applauds at Galaphile. Bravo!
[Dahla] says: Thank you very much for the history lesson, Mister Pirate.
Portencia nods slightly.
Veras nods to Dahla
[Dahla] says: Now... does anyone else have a tale to share with us, or a song or poem?
Nellisynthia looks down, "N-n-not n-n-not all histor-r-r-ry is ... old..."
[Dahla] says: Of course, I could always stop volunteering others and tell something myself.
Meris exhales softly and stares down at the ground for a few moments before her eyes trail to Nellisynthia.
Geril looks up at Dahla, "Oh-ho, tell us a story."
Aprilleros goes to roast more pork
Linnet nods at Dahla.
[Elaran] says: Can I make a request, Dahla?
[Dahla] says: You can, Elaran.
[Elaran] says: The Darkshire story. Seems appropriate for the time of year.
Nellisynthia slips into the shadow of her demon friend, a small shadow in a larger one. And then blink, sitting back down.
Elaran winks slyly at Dahla.
[Aprilleros] says: hey
[Aprilleros] says: uh
[Aprilleros] says: I have a good history lesson to about Duskwood
Dahla grins at Elaran. "Hmmmm. The ghost story, or the Flowers?"
[Aprilleros] says: After yer done with the Darkshire story
[Elaran] says: Ghost.
Asherrean sits and glances around the circle nodding to those he recognizes.
[Dahla] says: Gladly. I'll save my new story for another time, then.
Dahla smiles, looking about the fire and the folks assembled.
Wendall nods at Portencia.
[Dahla] says: Well. I've told you stories of my friend, the priest. He's been many places, seen many things.
Rogier idly drops his hand to Sayyida's rump as he listens.
[Dahla] says: One cold fall day, he received word from the Mayor of Darkshire for a priest to come assist them.
Cogitatus smiles at Dahla as she begins to tell her tale.
Sayyida swats Rogier's hand, blushing fiercely.
Aprilleros kneels down.
Aprilleros waves goodbye to everyone. Farewell!
Cogitatus waves at Aprilleros.
Elaran waves goodbye to Aprilleros. Farewell!
Wren waves goodbye to Aprilleros. Farewell!
Cuprifex waves to the big bipedal bear.
Dahla looks at the crackling fire. "He responded, and was met at the town hall by the Mayor and several of the Nightwatch. It seemed there were some very... chilling disturbances going on, in a house. In Raven Hill."
Portencia smiles slightly.
Kurlann kneels down.
Kurlann kneels down.
[Dahla] says: Now... no one really knew exactly what had happened, on the city by the cemetery. But as my friend, the priest, and several Nightwatch members trekked out, he saw signs that... well. Whatever had happened, it hadn't been pleasant.
[Dahla] says: As dusk fell, they neared the abandoned town. The Nightwatch members had been telling my friend, the priest, of their own experiences with that particular house.
Dahla shivers. "Soft moans and groans when the wind was still. Horrible shrieks in the night. Crashes."
Elaran ponders a comment about that being a normal night for some, but stays silent.
Linnet stares at Dahla, listening intently.
[Dahla] says: My friend, the priest, approached the boarded-up house just as the sun dipped below the horizon. It was even colder, now, his breath steaming before his face as he grasped the door handle and went inside.
Wendall bows before Portencia.
Dahla licks her lips, solemnly looking around the circle. "Inside was... devastation. Dusky night light filtered through the boarded-up windows, and a thick layer of dust had settled over the place."
Wendall pokes Naiama. Hey!
Cogitatus glances behind him at the sound of someone moving and notices Wendall and Portencia.
Naiama smiles at Wendall.
[Dahla] says: He lit a candle, and strode inside, confident of his faith. What he could see was... wreckage.
Wendall smiles.
Wendall kneels down.
Portencia nods at Cogitatus.
[Dahla] says: Tables tossed. Huge claw-marks rending flat surfaces, broken chairs and pottery.
Wendall whispers something quick to Meris.
Cogitatus returns his attention to Dahla.
[Dahla] says: And hanging on one wall, was a mirror.
Meris nods to Wendall
Dahla bites her lip. "Written raggedly in the dust were two words. 'Help Me'."
Rogier gasps cheerfully.
[Dahla] says: Immediately, my friend, the priest, ordered the Nightwatch outside and had them close the door. He knew what needed to be done.
[Dahla] says: He gathered some things from his bag, several candles, a bowl, some incense.
Sayyida leans over to whisper to Rogier again.
[Dahla] says: Carefully, he arranged the candles around the bowl, and humming a slow, descending minor scale, he lit the incense and placed it in the bowl. He closed his eyes, deep in prayer, looking to the Light to reveal what was hidden in this darkness.
Kurlann kneels down.
Rogier squeezes something, still listening.
Dahla looks to the glowing wisps, nodding faintly in their direction. "As he sat and waited... a glowing figure began to appear."
[Dahla] says: The ghost wailed and howled at my friend, the priest, but he sat perfectly still, waiting.
[Dahla] says: It tossed various broken pieces at him, shattering them even further! But not a one touched my friend, the priest.
[Dahla] says: Finally, its anger played out, it sighed and hovered before him. "How can I help you," asked the priest.
Dahla smiles ever so faintly. "The ghost spun a tale of its life. He was a young man who was an actor and playwright, but had never gotten noticed. His life had been torn from him one brutal night, and he'd missed his chance at fame and fortune."
Cuprifex totally did not jump in the air just now. Heck no.
[Dahla] says: He moaned that now he would never be known nor famous, and he could not leave this world because of his greatest desire.
Naiama waits for the kicker...
[Dahla] says: But my friend, the priest... he had a solution. Standing, he pulled from his bag... a gnomish Super-Snapper FX.
Elaran grins at Dahla.
Cogitatus chuckles at Dahla.
Dahla grins faintly. "He'd been asked to take a picture of some turtle, but this was far more exciting."
Cogitatus laughs at Dahla.
[Dahla] says: The ghost posed, and my friend, the priest, aimed and pulled the trigger. A blinding flash of light lit up the room, spurring the Nightwatch to peek inside.
Sirithil enters the game.
[Dahla] says: But as the picture developed... it was not to be. The flash had drowned out the ghost's figure completely, leaving only a smudge in the field.
Rogier nods wisely.
[Dahla] says: Howling with anger, the ghost erupted into a sudden scattering of wispy light... and vanished completely. His final chance had, indeed, been foiled by a faulty flash on a Super-Snapper FX.
Sayyida looks mournful.
Dahla looks at the folk around the circle once more. "The Nightwatch asked what had happened, but my friend, the priest, merely shrugged."
[Dahla] says: "The spirit was willing," he said. "But the flash was weak."
Cogitatus laughs at Dahla.
Cuprifex groans.
Elaran snorts.
Geril laughs at Dahla.
[Linnet] says: Oh dear.
Wren looks at Dahla and bursts out laughing
Sayyida looks confused for a moment, then laughs out loud.
Veras rolls his eyes
Linnet quietly snickers to herself.
[Rogier] says: B'the Light, lass, that'd be a hanging offense in the less civilized ports.
Cuprifex applauds at Dahla. Bravo!
Wren claps excitedly for Dahla.
Linnet claps excitedly.
Naiama shrugs and claps.
Yumeko giggles at Dahla.
Elaran claps excitedly for Dahla.
Dahla grins and takes a small bow. "Absolutely. It's why I tell these stories here."
Galaphile giggles.
Asherrean shakes his head but claps for the story.
[Cuprifex] says: That was *really* appalling. Well done.
Cuprifex grins.
Cogitatus applauds at Dahla. Bravo!
Dahla grins wickedly at Cuprifex.
Sullivan grins wickedly at Dahla.
Sirithil blushes at Dahla's characterization of her lands. ^_^
Cogitatus smiles widely at Dahla.
Kurlann claps excitedly for Dahla.
[Dahla] says: Thank you all for listening. Now, I'm afraid I interrupted something I had no intention of...
Nellisynthia claps excitedly for Mezznuz.
Dahla glances over at Nelli.
Yumeko shifts a little, antsy.
Cuprifex quietly opens his hand and gives Great Goretusk the finger.
Meris look up over her head to Yumeko and attempt to poke a finger into the wisp
[Dahla] says: Nellisynthia? You often have songs to share...
[Cogitatus] says: Is anyone else speaking? I just realized that I have a tale to tell, but I don't want to take anyone else’s turn.
Nellisynthia nods and tries to smile, "So fine tales, I have heard tonight, of times gone past, of fancy deeds and funny priests ....
Yumeko giggles down at Meris.
Cogitatus falls silent and turns his attention to Nellisynthia, smiling.
Neia looks over to Nellisynthia.
Nellisynthia swallows. "But upon the streets f Stormwind, I ... I learned ... that its just empty, when you hear ... that friend kills friend. I just don't that. I talked to Mezzy about it ... and then I ... upon the steps of the cathedral, I met Miss Felena ...
Cogitatus glances over at the shapeshifting ninjapirate, then turns back to Nellisynthia and listens closely.
Naiama raises her eyebrows at the mention of Felena.
Meris blinks at Nellisynthia, while trying to swat the wisp away.
Yumeko blinks suddenly at the name "Felena".
Asherrean looks over to the Nellisynthia and listens intently.
Yumeko bounces around Meris' head.
Neia listens closely, and eyes Nellisynthia consideringly.
[Nellisynthia] says: I ... I didn't know what to say. But I looked at her ... and we made a promise. And they can't hurt her, cause of that promise ... other wise ... otherwise ...
Yumeko inches over to Veras and whispers softly.
Sayyida looks back at the gnome, curious.
Cogitatus furrows his brow and looks at Nellisynthia with an expression of concern on his face.
Dahla listens, a serious expression on her features, intent on Nelli.
Cuprifex frowns slightly.
Veras glances to the Wisp
Meris fixes her attention on Nellisynthia, frowning slightly
Elaran narrows her eyes, listening.
Nellisynthia swallows. " ... cause I'd kill anyone else who would try. I k-k-know that.
Veras then trails his eyes to Nellisynthia
Nellisynthia bites her lower lip ... this song ... this song, it tries to say why ... and ... she can't be here, but it's for Miss Felena
Naiama frowns, not sure if she's imagining the tension in the air.
Sirithil feels it too.
[Nellisynthia] says: OOCly ... if anyone knows "Man's Road" from the Last Unicorn, that's the tune ...
Naiama looks around.
Kurlann kneels down.
Nellisynthia takes a breath, and begins a quiet singsong, "~ ... Shadows they're ... Falling ... O'er a city of storm bound stone ... ~"
Meris nods to the wisp
Nellisynthia quietly singsongs, "~ ... Darkling Friend ... Dying ... And a Lady now stands alone ... ~"
Sirithil listens to the quite adorable little gnome.
Nellisynthia closes her eyes, "~ ... Yet when upon her I look I can't ... call what’s owed ... For she is ... on Death's road ... ~"
Neia nods silently.
Nellisynthia whispers, "~ ... Walkin' Death's road ... ~"
Yumeko smiles at you.
Galaphile nods at Archin.
Asherrean listens quietly, eyes on the singing gnome.
Naiama looks oddly at Meris and the group over to her left.
Rogier listens, face gone serious.
Calithos tips his hat to Archin
Archin blinks in a... wispy way... and bobs at Calithos.
Nellisynthia takes a breath, words so soft, "~ ... I'm hurting ... Crying ... But its for her I can't stop tears...~"
Yumeko stifles a giggle.
Cogitatus listens intently to Nellisynthia.
Sayyida watches Nellisynthia as she sings, her expression grave.
Nellisynthia singsongs soft, "~ ...For it'd be ... Lying ... To not hear conflict in her prayers ... ~"
Yumeko turns to face Nellisynthia.
Calithos hrms, listening.
Nellisynthia whispers quiet, "~ ... Its the same path I have learned to walk ... with head bowed ... Just like her ... on Death's road ...~"
Nellisynthia takes a small short breath, "~ ... Walkin' Death's road ... ~"
Naiama looks quite seriously at the little person singing.
Cogitatus gently pats Crimson Whelpling as he listens to the story.
Nellisynthia tries to look up, for mezzy just doesn't understand. She tries to explain, though, words so soft and caring, "~ ... So still words ... Promising ... Against the night I fall to Fire ... ~"
Nellisynthia singsongs gentle, "~ ... I know its ... Coming ... Please come take me, my last desire ... ~"
Nellisynthia chokes, her voice breaking, "~ ... That before I hurt my dearest friend ... my fate bestowed ...~"
Nellisynthia looks to Mezzy and closes her eyes, "~ ... And we'll walk ... on Death's road ...~"
Nellisynthia whispers, "~ ... Walkin' Death's road ... ~"
Nellisynthia is almost completely silent, a whisper. "~ ... Walkin' Death's road ... ~"
Linnet sighs softly.
Cogitatus puts his hands together and softly applauds sincerely, but sadly for Nellisynthia.
Neia sighs sadly.
Sirithil applauds at Nellisynthia. Bravo!
Rogier claps excitedly for Nellisynthia.
Yumeko applauds at Nellisynthia. Bravo!
Cuprifex nods slowly.
Sayyida gives Nelli a deeply respectful nod and leans more heavily against Rogier's side.
Dahla looks down, but applauds quietly.
Galaphile applauds. Bravo!
Asherrean bows his head to Nellisynthia respectively.
Meris can't clap.
Cuprifex pokes his belly and giggles.
Naiama lets out a long, drawn-out sigh.
[Naiama] says: Pigs.
Cuprifex meant to poke the Goretusk, but it died first.
Linnet nods at Nellisynthia.
[Sirithil] says: Yup.
Elaran nods to Nellisynthia.
Wren looks quietly at Nellisynthia and nods her head
Cogitatus looks to Dahla.
[Dahla] says: Thank you, Nelli... thank you, always, for your songs.
Naiama makes a weird face at all the wisps.
Calithos believes he is haunted.
Veras nods and gives a few claps
Calithos has ghosts all around him. Oh noz.
Dahla bites her lip and looks as if she's to say more, but then just looks to Cogitatus. "Please. Your tale."
Calithos tips his hat to Nelli, smiling.
Cuprifex looks down with what he hopes is no more than polite interest at the boar's legs, lying on either side of him.
Nellisynthia hugs herself and nods, polite, to sit now, again, in Mezzy's shadow. "Y-y-you cant l-let them hurt her. She's got-t-ta k-k-keep that promise."
Cogitatus smiles and stands up.
Calithos doesn't. He wants gold, damnit.
Veras glances up at the sky again
Sirithil whispers to Naiama.
Cogitatus takes a semi-deep breath and smile at everyone.
Naiama leans in.
Wren smiles at Cogitatus.
Veras stands and dusts himself off
[Cogitatus] says: Now, I have a story and a bit of advice for Hallow's End.
Naiama makes a "tsk" sound and nods to Sirithil.
[Veras] says: Well, I think I have to go unfortunately.
Cogitatus bows before Veras.
Cogitatus waves goodbye to Veras. Farewell!
Veras bows down graciously.
Sirithil waves at Veras.
Yumeko attempts to curtsey before Veras.
[Yumeko] says: [Demonic] Er'dar-kazile melar..
Neia nods absently to Veras, eyes on Cogitatus.
[Veras] says: I shall have to make it up to you somehow Cogitatus.
Wren waves goodbye to the pirate and wishes him a good evening
Asherrean nods to Veras from across the campfire.
[Elaran] says: Good night...sir pirate. Thank you for your story.
Meris floats over near Not-Veras
Dahla nods to the pirate. "Take care."
Calithos tips his hat to V
Veras glances over his shoulder, and shrugs
[Cogitatus] says: This took place, recently. To protect the dignity and modesty of those involved, I will not be mentioning names.
[Sirithil] says: Gods, it looks like a Darnassian cemetery here.
Calithos takes up space!
Meris looks to the crowd. "I'm afraid I have an appointment too... good bye for this week."
Cogitatus chuckles in response to Sirithil.
Cogitatus waves at you.
Archin bounces at Meris.
Yumeko smiles at you.
Meris gives a little bow and turns on her heel.
