Cogitatus smiles at Veras.
[Cogitatus] says: Good to know, Veras. Glad to hear you've recovered.
[Ingarath] says: I think we'll wait a bit more, so we can gather any stragglers.
Cogitatus returns his attention to his book of engineering plans.
Arrish gives Veras a thoughtful look, then smiles faintly. "Good news, then. How long was it gone?"
Veras looks over to Arrish and shrugs
Ingarath murmurs, "I don't think anyone has ever been on time..."
Angaelen straightens the folds of her dress, laying out a few sheaves, and a thin, long, cloth wrapped bundle.
[Veras] says: About.... six days? Maybe seven.
[Veras] says: Hard to keep track when you can't see the sun.
Veras grins wickedly at Arrish.
Ingarath smiles.
[Arrish] says: Hnh, yes.
[Meris] says: Surely you could feel it, Veras.
Veras looks to Meris and chuckles slightly
[Cogitatus] says: Here, now, Ingarath, *I* come on time.
Cogitatus grins wickedly at Ingarath.
[Veras] says: Then maybe I am just poor at counting.
[Ingarath] says: Huh. I suppose that *is* true, Cogitatus.
[Meris] says: At least, Veras, you missed a lot of unnecessary scowling.
Veras laughs at you.
Vindicis glances around then looks up to the sun.
Arrish arches an eyebrow. "Unnecessary scowling?"
Maedaine whispers softly to Vindicis "Are you all right?"
Cogitatus glances at Vindicis; is almost certain the sun wouldn't be visible from here.
[Nyidi] says: You can *feel* scowling sometimes, too...
[Meris] says: That takes remarkable sensitivity, I would think.
Meris smiles wryly at Nyidi.
Vindicis nods slowly, reaching up to feel his head. "Just a slight headache... seeing things"
[Nyidi] says: It's a change in the air or something. Like when someone's watching you.
Cogitatus suddenly directs his gaze slowly around the circle, trying to scowl at everyone, but can't keep a smirk off his face.
Arrish glances over at Vindicis.
Cogitatus chuckles softly, then continues looking at his book of plans.
Maedaine frowns slightly and squeezes his hand. "We've got things to discuss."
Angaelen looks anywhere but towards the human/Elven couple.
Meris lets out a soft sigh. "It's getting too late in the season to not have fires...."
Vindicis shakes his head slowly. "Just was involved in... it is nothing"
[Cogitatus] says: Well, I have 19 sets of wood, but I wanted to save it.
[Veras] says: Eh? Well.... now that you mention it, it *is* a bit nippy.
Ingarath stands slowly.
[Jubbyjubby] says: Hmmm...
Cogitatus sets aside his book and gets up.
Vindicis chuckles softly reaching into his pack and faltering slightly as he stands.
[Nyidi] says: Can you get wood in Lakeshire?
[Ingarath] says: Well. Does anyone believe we have a reason to not begin?
[Arrish] says: I've wood.
Cogitatus smiles at Arrish.
[Cogitatus] says: We should be all set for the night, then.
[Meris] says: I think we are still awaiting a few stragglers, but their loss..
Vindicis shakes his head "To late again..." sitting down quietly.
[Ingarath] says: Yes, indeed.
[Jubbyjubby] says: Think I'll share a war story tonight..
Cogitatus turns his attention to JJ to listen
Maedaine glances towards Vindicis, a worried look crosses her face. "We've got things to discuss." Her voice lowers more. "The darkness that bonds us." Her eyes flash silver.
[Ingarath] says: Well, once again, let me thank you for coming.
Meris glances over in Vindicis' direction too, recognizing him from the other night.
Arrish glances to her left, and then looks around the circle, her gaze settling on Ingarath.
Vindicis shakes his head slowly, turning his gaze to Ingarath.
Angaelen begins to look about, avoiding the couple, and settling on Ingarath.
Maedaine glances towards Ingarath, her mouth twitching in irritation.
[Ingarath] says: Welcome to you all. For those of you who do not know where you are, and are wondering why you're sitting around listening to a darkly dressed rogue...
[Ingarath] says: You are at Story Night. And my name is Ingarath Melforgan.
Meris examines the circle's attendees. "There's a remarkable lack of gnomes here tonight, for once."
[Ingarath] says: If you are here for Orgy Night, or Fireworks Night, or Illumination Saturdays, you're out of luck.
Vindicis glances around the circle, pausing as the find Meris, his eyes widening slowly, continuing around the circle once again to Ingarath.
Angaelen clears her throat discreetly.
Ingarath shrugs softly.
[Arrish] says: No one told me where fireworks night was....
Ingarath grins at Arrish. "It's a closely guarded state secret."
[Meris] says: I'm more curious about Illumination Saturdays myself.
Angaelen pulls out her "guide to the customs and festivals of the Eastern Kingdoms"
[Ingarath] says: Now, as we always do, I would ask for a volunteer, who will rise to tell verse or recall a story.
Ingarath grins at Meris.
Angaelen flips through, nudging Arrish, her face quizzical.
Ingarath looks around the circle, his eyes falling on each individual face.
Arrish leans over and points to an entry for Angaelen.
[Jubbyjubby] says: Hmm...
Ingarath grins softly.
[Jubbyjubby] says: Anybody up for a war story?
Meris lets out a little huff of air and gazes at Jubby.
Angaelen holds back a laugh.
[Ingarath] says: Ah, good, a brave man!
[Jubbyjubby] says: Hmm..
[Jubbyjubby] says: Let's see...
Arrish smiles, faintly mischievous.
[Ingarath] says: Sometimes I think I'm asking for solo volunteers to go and storm the Undercity...
Angaelen fingers her wrapped bundle nervously ...
[Jubbyjubby] says: Ahh..here's one...
[Arrish] says: Oh, I'll go storm the Undercity.
Maedaine glances towards the gnome, a half smile playing across her lips.
Jubbyjubby scratches his beard and begins story telling.
[Jubbyjubby] says: It was about mid day, and it was a foggy day.
Arrish smiles and looks to Jubbyjubby.
[Jubbyjubby] says: Me and my group were moving back to our outpost, in the tall grassy plains of the Barrens.
Vindicis eyes twinkle as he hears talk of storming the Undercity.
[Jubbyjubby] says: The hyenas and raptors were roaming freely, but were the least of our problems.
[Jubbyjubby] says: We had had reports of Trolls and Orcs advancing towards us.
[Jubbyjubby] says: Me and my friend Adok were told to scout ahead, so we did so by crouching to the top of a hill.
Cogitatus eats some of his [Curiously Tasty Omelet] as he listens.
[Jubbyjubby] says: We spotted some Troll Hunters shifting through the tall grass towards us, with their pets at their sides.
[Jubbyjubby] says: I pointed them out and Adok too fire, killing an Orc.
[Jubbyjubby] says: Err...troll.
[Jubbyjubby] says: The dead troll's pet began rushing towards us, so I drew my weapons and Adok continued firing from a range.
Angaelen begins to peel an Herb baked egg ... and casually eating it as the story continues, sans shell.
[Jubbyjubby] says: The pet was a big strong lion, and I barely managed to kill it.
[Jubbyjubby] says: The lion bit me several times, but I killed it soon enough.
[Jubbyjubby] says: The other troll and his pet were now dead, and we strolled down the hill to report the attack.
[Jubbyjubby] says: But to our surprise, when we came back...our group was lying there dead..bleeding.
[Jubbyjubby] says: All single wounds, “Obviously a rogue's work" we both thought.
Vindicis ' eyes open slightly wider.
[Jubbyjubby] says: We armed our guns and continued shifting through the grass, with swords loosely on our belts.
[Jubbyjubby] says: We saw moving grass up ahead, and knew if we froze we were dead, and if we kept moving we were dead.
Angaelen nods hesitantly, eating at a slower pace as the attention shifts further to the story.
[Jubbyjubby] says: We got back to back to avoid an ambush, and saw the moving grass was getting closer....and closer and closer!
[Jubbyjubby] says: I opened fire and an Orc Rogue piled out from the grass in front of us.
[Jubbyjubby] says: The next event we expected not.
[Jubbyjubby] says: Undead Mages appeared from the distance, casting fire balls from the sky.
Arrish listens curiously, nibbling from a skewer.
[Jubbyjubby] says: Me and Adok were forced to retreat, in order not to be burned down.
Maedaine blinks slowly, finally closing her eyes, letting the words flow over her as pictures begin to dance in her mind.
[Jubbyjubby] says: We were running at full sprint.
[Jubbyjubby] says: The Orcs, trolls, and undead closely behind.
Vindicis bites the head off his [Crunchy Frog] as his eyes grow wider still, locked on JubbyJubby.
[Jubbyjubby] says: Up ahead was a dead end, and we dived off, turning and shooting in mid air.
[Jubbyjubby] says: Being as dumb as Orcs are, they jumped off after us.
[Jubbyjubby] says: Blood was spewing from dead Orcs falling down that were shot.
[Jubbyjubby] says: We landed in a big barrel of hay, we were on a farm it looked.
[Jubbyjubby] says: We quickly rolled off, to avoid being piled on by falling Orcs.
[Jubbyjubby] says: We took off back into the grass, to kill the rest of the enemies following.
[Jubbyjubby] says: The sun was getting lower, and it was starting to get dark.
[Jubbyjubby] says: The fog was still out, giving us limited sight.
[Jubbyjubby] says: We turned and heard the howls of Orcs and their wolves.
[Jubbyjubby] says: The grass was shining with watching eyes of the undead.
[Jubbyjubby] says: More moving grass was beginning to happen..but we didn't take note, for we were too scared.
[Jubbyjubby] says: We dropped our guns and ripped out our swords.
Angaelen nods appreciatively at the candor.
[Jubbyjubby] says: Trolls ran in, we were screwed it seemed,5 on 2.
[Jubbyjubby] says: Adok swung his mighty axe the strongest he could, bringing it down on a troll's head, splitting it.
Peejee grins at you wickedly.
Meris nudges Peejee.
[Jubbyjubby] says: I used my dueled swords and spun with great speed, killing a troll.
Peejee looks over to Meris, quirking an eyebrow.
[Jubbyjubby] says: A troll with a polearm came, and threw it at me, Adok dived in front and took the hit.
[Jubbyjubby] says: A troll ran, and the other started running after me.
Angaelen winces slightly at the image.
[Jubbyjubby] says: I threw my spare sword, digging it between the troll's eyes.
[Jubbyjubby] says: Adok was dieing, slowly from blood loss.
[Jubbyjubby] says: I wasn't able to help him, and carried him as long as I could.
Maedaine 's brow furrow and her eyes open lazily, looking towards the speaker again.
Peejee suddenly raises a hand to her mouth, smothering a laugh.
[Jubbyjubby] says: We moved up a hill, discovering the outpost..finally.
[Jubbyjubby] says: I kept walking with the last strength in my body, to carry Adok.
[Jubbyjubby] says: I came into the medical tent, and set Adok down.
[Jubbyjubby] says: They were trying to help him for hours, but it was hopeless.
[Jubbyjubby] says: Adok was a father of 2 boys and a husband.
[Jubbyjubby] says: He died a slow death with me at his side.
[Jubbyjubby] says: I won't forget him, and this story was dedicated to him.
[Jubbyjubby] says: The end!
Cogitatus nods solemnly.
Nyidi applauds at Jubbyjubby. Bravo!
[Jubbyjubby] says: Cough clap cough.
Ingarath claps excitedly for Jubbyjubby.
Cogitatus claps excitedly.
Angaelen claps excitedly for Jubbyjubby.
Maedaine claps slowly.
Arrish claps excitedly for Jubbyjubby.
[Ingarath] says: Thank you, Jubbyjubby, for sharing!
Peejee claps quietly for Jubbyjubby.
Jubbyjubby claps excitedly.
Vindicis claps lightly for JubbyJubby.
Cogitatus smiles at Elaran.
Alethinos whispers, "Good job, JJ"
Ingarath blinks as he notices Elaran. "Hello there."
Meris waves at Elaran.
Angaelen nods to the gnomess Elaran.
Elaran smiles at Ingarath.
[Ingarath] says: Alright..would someone like to go next?
Veras chuckles
Elaran waves at Arrish.
Arrish smiles at Elaran.
Meris nudges Peejee again, muttering 'Look, there's two!"
Ingarath looks around the circle once more.
[Nyidi] says: I have a story, as usual.
Elaran waves at you.
[Ingarath] says: Well, please! Rise and share it with us.
Peejee does a double count, "Isn’t' that three?"
Ingarath claps excitedly for Nyidi.
Meris rummages through a satchel and removes a small binder.
[Nyidi] says: Before the last great war, Moonbrook was a lively city, and the schoolhouse was full of children.
Ingarath smiles at Elaran.
[Nyidi] says: One of them was a boy named Duncan.
Vindicis smiles at Nyidi.
[Nyidi] says: Duncan liked raptors.
Peejee peeks over Meris' shoulder.
[Nyidi] says: He had drawings of raptors, books about raptors, and a prodigious vocabulary when it came to raptors.
Cogitatus smiles at Nyidi as he listens.
[Nyidi] says: You know how it is, when kids take a real interest in something.
[Nyidi] says: So none of the students were more excited than Duncan when they heard that a famous Dwarven hunter would be coming to their class...
Cogitatus chuckles quietly.
Ingarath grins wickedly at Elaran.
[Nyidi] says: Along with his pet raptor!
Elaran winks slyly at Ingarath.
[Nyidi] says: On the day the raptor was supposed to arrive, Duncan couldn't sit still.
[Nyidi] says: "When will the raptor get here?" he asked.
[Nyidi] says: "I thought I heard a growl! That must be a raptor now!" he said, about five minutes later.
[Nyidi] says: "I wonder if he'll let us ride it?"
[Nyidi] says: "I wonder what kind of raptor it will be?"
Elaran chuckles quietly and listens.
[Nyidi] says: "I hope it's a Lashtail," said Duncan. "Lashtails are my favorite."
Meris glances over to Nadeshiko, and tugs at Peejee's sleeve
[Nyidi] says: And so on.
[Nyidi] says: Some of the other boys in the school weren't quite so keen on raptors.
[Nyidi] says: Or Duncan.
Jegen greets Nadeshiko with a hearty hello!
[Nyidi] says: So during recess one of the other boys said, "I heard the hunter's not coming."
Elaran waves at Nadeshiko.
[Nyidi] says: "What?" yelled Duncan.
Peejee raises an eyebrow and nods to Meris.
Nadeshiko smiles at Jegen.
[Nyidi] says: "Yeah," said Jimmy. "There isn't going to be a raptor. Isn't that right?"
[Nyidi] says: Several other boys nodded and said, "Yeah, that's right."
[Nyidi] says: "No," said Duncan. "You're lying! Miss Leland said he was coming today!"
Cogitatus rolls his eyes.
[Nyidi] says: "Are you calling me a liar?" said Jimmy.
Cogitatus shakes his head.
[Nyidi] says: "No," said Duncan. "But Miss Leland said--"
[Nyidi] says: "Liars have to stay inside during recess," said Jimmy.
[Nyidi] says: "Yeah, that's right," said the other boys.
[Nyidi] says: So they grabbed Duncan and pulled him back to the schoolhouse.
[Nyidi] says: "Let's put him in the closet," suggested one.
Vindicis holds Maedaine's hand lightly as another headache hits him.
[Nyidi] says: So they did. And Jimmy barred the door shut with a chair.
[Nyidi] says: When the boys got back outside, the raptor was there.
[Nyidi] says: It was everything Duncan dreamed of and more.
[Nyidi] says: The raptor was easily three times as tall as the Dwarf who brought him, with brown leathery skin, and feathered bracelets.
[Nyidi] says: They saw the raptor.
Elaran mutters something about raptors eating obnoxious children.
Cogitatus lets out a long, drawn-out sigh.
[Nyidi] says: They smelled the raptor.
[Nyidi] says: They pretended to listen what the hunter was saying.
[Nyidi] says: The bravest of them even got to pet the raptor and feed him some wild boar meat.
Cogitatus chuckles in response to Elaran.
[Nyidi] says: It was memorable.
[Nyidi] says: When the Dwarf and his raptor left, it was almost time to go home.
[Nyidi] says: All the boys joked around and couldn't stop talking about the raptor.
[Nyidi] says: Until one them went pale and stopped dead in his tracks.
[Nyidi] says: "What?" cried Jimmy.
[Nyidi] says: "Duncan," said the boy.
Maedaine glances quickly over to Vindicis and squeeze his hand, a frown on her face. "Do you need to leave love?"
[Nyidi] says: Jimmy stared at his feet all through the schoolhouse.
[Nyidi] says: Slowly, sheepishly, he let Duncan out of the closet.
Nyidi bows down graciously.
Angaelen raises her eyebrow faintly at the elf and human.
Cogitatus sits in quiet thought.
Angaelen smiles at Nyidi.
Meris claps for Nyidi.
Vindicis feels his head fill with pain, "Yes, .. I must see Doctor Gustav... "
Elaran blinks at Nyidi.
Ingarath grins.
Cogitatus lets out a long, drawn-out sigh.
Angaelen leans towards the human and elf ... "Are you alright, sir ...?"
[Ingarath] says: Thank you for sharing, Nyidi.
[Elaran] says: I don't suppose Duncan happened to smack Jimmy around a bit, did he?
Maedaine raises an eyebrow and looks around. "Let's go. I'm sure ..." She motions to those around the circle "... they will not mind."
[Nyidi] says: Maybe later on
[Cogitatus] says: Children can be so cruel, sometimes.
Ingarath grins wickedly at Nyidi.
Elaran sighs at Nyidi.
Meris whispers to Peejee.
[Nyidi] says: Or perhaps they became good friends.
Veras glances to Maedaine and Vindicis and raises an eyebrow
[Ingarath] says: Well, well. We seem to be a rather well-formed near circle tonight.
Vindicis nods slowly and rises, bowing low to the group despite the pain throbbing in his head.
[Ingarath] says: Are you alright...?
Cogitatus glances at Vindicis.
Nyidi looks at the unfamiliar couple with concern
Maedaine snakes her arm behind him and offers her support.
Angaelen raises her fingertips from her lap in a silent wave, bowing her head. "The road rise to greet you, and the meetings be many, yet partings few."
[Vindicis] says: Please... if you will. Excuse me, I must see the good doctor in the city of Theramore.
[Maedaine] says: My apologies... He hasn't been feeling well for a good month of moons.
Angaelen blinks at Vindicis.
Ingarath frowns.
[Cogitatus] says: Would it help if I opened a portal to Ironforge for you?
[Cogitatus] says: That would speed the journey.
Maedaine glances towards Vindicis. "Can you manage the portal?"
Brawltech laughs.
Ingarath blinks at Target Dummy.
Vindicis looks at Cogitatus with soft eyes, allowing him to see his pain. "That would be most helpful sir"
[Cogitatus] says: He would still have to manage a gryphon flight from there to Menethil.
Cogitatus nods and pulls out a [Rune of Portals] from his belt pouch.
[Jegen] says: ...Who put the Target there?
Meris quirks her brow at Peejee.
Cogitatus hold the rune in front of him and begin incanting.
[Ingarath] says: Poor, poor goretusk.
Elaran lets out a long, drawn-out sigh.
Angaelen curtsies before Veras.
Cogitatus tries to begin the incantations again.
Maedaine smiles softly to the elf beside her.
[Angaelen] says: Good speed and steady recovery ...
Meris gives Poynard a cursory glance
Maedaine curtsies before Cogitatus.
Cogitatus watches the rune dissolve into arcane sparkles.
Angaelen curtsies.
Vindicis falters slightly, loosing his balance, leaning on Maedaine for support through the portal. "Thank you again good sir."
[Maedaine] says: I thank you good Sir. It is most kind of you.
[Cogitatus] says: Hurry, please, the portal will close after 1 minute.
Maedaine stumbles slightly and straightens, helping him through.
Peejee quirks an eyebrow at Meris, a thoughtful look in her eyes.
[Nyidi] says: I hope they're okay.
Ingarath nods.
[Ingarath] says: So do I.
Meris shrugs at Peejee. "looks a bit.. difficult."
[Ingarath] says: Ah, well...I suppose we should continue.
Poynard digs in to his bag and draws out a pipe which he packs down with tobacco and lights with a match. He puffs quickly and gently, blowing smoke out of the corner of his mouth.
[Ingarath] says: Who among you would be the next to rise?
[Veras] says: I can tell a tale tonight I suppose.
[Ingarath] says: ...Really?
Veras smirks slyly at Ingarath.
Ingarath looks more than a little surprised.
[Veras] says: Might as well continue the history lessons.
[Veras] says: Or at least delve into myths.
[Ingarath] says: Well, by all means, old man.
Cogitatus smiles at Veras.
[Elaran] says: Will it enslave our souls to the cows in Goldshire?
Veras waggles his fingers before he stands
Ingarath grins wickedly at Veras.
Cogitatus laughs at Elaran.
Veras shrugs at Elaran. Who knows?
Ingarath laughs.
[Veras] says: Perhaps, good gnome.
Elaran lets out a long, drawn-out sigh.
Asherrean glances in Veras's direction and grins slightly.
[Elaran] says: Ah well. Such is the price of curiosity.
[Cogitatus] says: No, I suspect to the bunny rabbits.
[Poynard] says: Ah, servitude of the bovine nature isn't all that bad. Just need to favor curd.
Angaelen ponders the prospect Veras proposes ... eager to hear what awaits.
Cogitatus smiles at Elaran.
[Veras] says: Either way, the myth I have for tonight? Is that of the Earthmother herself. The creation of existence, as told by the Shu'halo.
Peejee nods at Asherrean in silent greeting.
Cogitatus laughs at Poynard.
Elaran blinks at Veras.
[Veras] says: We know them better, as the Tauren.
Ingarath smiles.
Veras grins wickedly.
Angaelen nods to the feline sitting at the fire ring ... then back at the one on the log.
Asherrean returns Peejee's nod, eyes deviating from Veras only momentarily.
Peejee ears perk up as she swings her gaze over to Veras, listening intently.
[Veras] says: Before the dawn of the age of Memory, before Titan's ran this planet, the earthmother awoke.
Angaelen draws closer to the fire, intrigued ...
Veras waves a hand through the air
[Veras] says: Her first action, was to breath upon this rock the golden mists of dawn...
[Veras] says: Where the amber clouds eventually settled? Great endless fields of wheat and Barley sprouted forth!
[Veras] says: This, was the basin of her works, this was the start of life, and the start of hope.
Cogitatus smiles as he listens to Veras.
[Veras] says: The Earthmother, gazed down at that which she had made, her eyes looking towards her creation.
[Veras] says: Her right eye, An'she, gave warmth and light to her land..... Her left eye, Mu'sha, gave peace and sleep to the creatures of the dawning.
[Veras] says: Such was the majesty and power of her gaze though, hat she had to ever keep closed one dreaming eye in the ever turning sky.
Elaran listens intently to Veras.
[Veras] says: Thus, Night and day were created around the dawn.
Cogitatus glances up at Nyidi and whispers "Nice shot." He then turns his attention back to Veras.
Poynard puffs at his pipe as he listens.
[Veras] says: Her work, however, was not yet complete.
Elaran leans over and wraps an arm around Ingarath, listening.
[Veras] says: While her right eye lie open and shone down upon the golden dawn, the fields, The Earthmother spread out her hands; wherever their shadows passed, a noble and *strong* people arose.
Ingarath smiles happily, listening quietly to Veras.
Lamagra whispers, nighttime is coming fast.
[Veras] says: Crafted from the rich soil itself, the Shu'halo stood and gave thanks and prayer to their loving mother.
Peejee absently reaches down in one of her packs, pulling out a banana and peels it before she begins nibbling on it.
[Veras] says: There, in the *endless* fields of the dawn, the children of earth, swore themselves to her grace, and vowed to forever bless her name, until the final darkness fell upon this world.
Meris flips through a well-work book and bookmarks a section.
Veras sits, falling quiet
Cogitatus applauds at Veras. Bravo!
Ingarath nods quietly.
Nyidi applauds at Veras. Bravo!
Angaelen blinks, entranced ...
Ingarath claps excitedly for Veras.
Cogitatus smiles at Veras.
Angaelen applauds at Veras. Bravo!
Elaran applauds at Veras. Bravo!
Baydon claps excitedly for Veras.
Meris smiles at Veras.
Jorii claps excitedly for Veras.
[Elaran] says: Good story.
Peejee grins, clapping for the story.
Veras smirks slyly at Elaran.
Asherrean nods silently to Veras before pulling a book from one of his packs and writing a few notes therein.
[Ingarath] says: Thank you, Veras.
Poynard bites down on his pipe and claps.
Veras nods slightly
[Veras] says: My pleasure.
[Ingarath] says: Well. Do we have anyone else who would like to speak to the circle?
[Poynard] says: May I?
Cogitatus gets up to set a new fire.
[Ingarath] says: Please, please.
Meris looks over to Poynard with a bit of surprise.
Ingarath beckons to Poynard.
Elaran raises an eyebrow at Poynard.
Poynard stands and clears his throat a little, taking a deep breath in on the pipe and leading out a jet of smoke through his nostrils.
Cogitatus turns his attention to Poynard.
Peejee smiles and gazes up at Poynard.
[Poynard] says: Now then, I do believe this is my first time engaging in the friendly act of tale-telling so please do bear with me.
Cogitatus smiles at Poynard.
[Poynard] says: And, should I say something confusing then do not hesitate to ask a question. Best to ask while I'm telling this tale, lest I forget.
Ingarath nods, listening.
[Poynard] says: Now, with that out of the way, I will introduce myself. I am Osrien Poynard, a magistrate of the city of Stormwind.
[Poynard] says: This affords me quite a bit of work and the occasional rotten fruit but I am not one to pass on free food.
Ingarath grins.
Meris smirks at Poynard.
Elaran chuckles at Poynard.
Cogitatus chuckles.
[Cogitatus] says: I happen to have fare that *isn't* rotten, if you're hungry.
Cogitatus smiles at Poynard.
Lamagra lies down.
Cogitatus gestures to the [Curiously Tasty Omelet], [Carrion Surprise], [Boiled Clams]
Cogitatus also gestures to the [Barbecued Buzzard Wing].
[Poynard] says: It was roughly a month ago when the stress of the job, perhaps the questioning of my efforts on the bench, or perhaps the bottom-feeders that continually committed crimes, from bar fights to turnip fraud...I decided I needed to go on sabbatical.
[Poynard] says: And no thank you, I am not hungry at the moment.
Cogitatus smiles, but shuts up and listens.
Ingarath murmurs, "Turnip fraud...?"
Meris mutters "turnip fraud?" under her breath
[Poynard] says: So one evening I decided to head for Southshore in order to relax. I took a flight out to Menethil Bay, which I engaged in a delightful discussion with a local.
[Poynard] says: Towards the end of the discussion, he, and roughly two dozen other citizens, gripping broken bottles and torches suggested I had best hurry to catch the boat.
[Poynard] says: I obliged.
Angaelen raises an eyebrow at the magistrate...
Aldaeus approaches quietly and takes a seat.
Ingarath blinks.
[Arrish] says: My goodness.
Cogitatus blinks at Poynard.
[Arrish] says: No pitchforks?
[Poynard] says: Hm. I don't recall. Ostensibly, there could have been.
Peejee blinks, grinning mischievously as she continues to nibble on her banana.
Cogitatus chuckles in response to Arrish.
Angaelen asides ... "I wonder what for ... bad sporting match ...?"
Aldaeus passes a glance in Baydon's direction.
[Poynard] says: Oh? No, we had been discussing a woman's dress. I suggested it was perhaps a bit too revealing and I offered to buy a nicer one. The fellow took this in a very negative way, unfortunately.
[Poynard] says: But that is neither here, nor there.
Meris quirks a brow at Poynard.
Baydon glances briefly back towards Aldaeus, gives him a slight nod, and returns his attention to Poynard.
Angaelen quirks a brow at Poynard.
Aldaeus listens intently to Poynard.
Cogitatus suppresses a smirk.
[Poynard] says: I ran across a friend, a one Mr. Lazarus Spindlecog. He seemed to be idling about and I suggested he travel with me! Why, he was smitten! Not...literally, I mean he was more then pleased to tag along.
Elaran snickers at Poynard.
[Poynard] says: So he ventured on to the boat and, lo and behold, within little to no time at all, we arrived at Southshore!
Angaelen grins mirthfully at Poynard’s ... wording.
[Poynard] says: Or so I had perceived. Apparently my geographical skills are lacking. When the boat landed I was informed of we had reached a place called 'Auberdine'.
Lamagra cheers!
[Poynard] says: I am told this a small port town. In Kalimdor.
[Poynard] says: Imagine my surprise.
Angaelen shakes her head, bemused ...
Cogitatus chuckles at Poynard.
Poynard puffs at his pipe for a moment.
Elaran smiles.
[Poynard] says: Everyone with me so far? No questions?
Lamagra mutters.. Auberdine is much better.
Angaelen shudders at the indiscrete carnage at her back.
Elaran looks thoughtful for a moment, but doesn't say anything.
Lamagra comforts Angaelen.
[Poynard] says: Right, I will assume that means everyone understands the tale so far.
Cogitatus continues listening.
Nyidi nods
Cogitatus nods silently.
Lamagra laughs.
Arrish blinks.
[Poynard] says: Well, I calmly discussed with Spindlecog the importance of me not being in Kalimdor, to which he reminded me returning to Menethil Bay at the time would not be wise at this exact moment.
Peejee grins and nods.
Angaelen nods, still wondering how the magistrate ended up as pilot.
[Poynard] says: Hm...what happened next...oh yes! Spindlecog informed me he was collecting some manner of...reagent for some work he was doing. I did not pry. But while telling me exactly what he required, a near by Kaldorei spoke to Lazarus in a strange tongue.
[Poynard] says: I could not follow. I was later informed that was simply his accent, but, regardless, the Kaldorei explained that there was a beach south a ways that would have the thing Lazarus was seeking. So we went south towards...
[Poynard] says: Black Fathomless Deeps? Dark Fathomfull Depths? I don't recall the title the natives called it.
[Nyidi] says: Ah.
Angaelen whispers as an aside to Poynard, "Black Fathom Deeps" ...
[Poynard] says: No. I don't think that was it...
Elaran quietly snickers to herself.
Poynard shrugs. "It matters little."
[Meris] says: I suppose you could call it whatever you want...
Cogitatus chuckles quietly.
Angaelen gives a polite shrug and an encouraging smile ...
[Cogitatus] says: A wet hole in the ground. I know, I've been there.
Cogitatus grins at you wickedly.
Ingarath blinks.
[Poynard] says: Apparently it's was an ancient temple! And lo, would I have seen it ages ago I suspect it would have been quite a sight indeed. But the ruins unfortunately, left little to be desired.
[Poynard] says: So we pressed on ward, finding our way deep in the twisting maze that lay beneath the mangled stone ruins above. And what a sight!
[Poynard] says: Hideous serpentine people, their writhing bodies slick and glistening in the dim cavern light.
Angaelen frowns at the ruckus behind her.
Lamagra sighs at Angaelen.
[Poynard] says: And satyrs, hiding deep in the shadows, their twisted claws ready to rip our very throats out!
[Elaran] says: Sounds like a Stormwind political function.
Meris mutters something like "Any giant turtles?"
[Poynard] says: Yes! Very much like a political function in Stormwind!
Nyidi chuckles
Arrish giggles softly at Elaran.
[Poynard] says: With the exception of the serpent people.
[Poynard] says: And bloodshed.
[Poynard] says: But otherwise, close.
[Elaran] says: I disagree, but that's just my opinion.
Cogitatus laughs at Poynard.
Cogitatus laughs at Elaran.
[Meris] says: I wouldn't discount the bloodshed.
Angaelen gives Arrish an incredulous look as though to confirm the magistrate's claim.
Poynard leaps forward with his pipe thrusting out like a sword.
Ingarath grins.
[Poynard] says: We made our way through the ruins, bashing and slashing the fiends as they presented themselves to us!
Arrish nods to Elaran and gives Angaelen a wry smile.
Poynard mimes the slashing and bashing with his pipe, carving large smoky 'S's in the air.
Elaran winks slyly at Arrish.
[Poynard] says: Ah, but alas, we were out numbered, my friends!
Angaelen laughs lightly at the antics on stage....
Elaran smiles at Poynard.
[Poynard] says: And I saw behind me a large Serpent raise its weapon, about to cane me a good one!
Poynard stops mid-leap. "Perhaps if the crowd could give a gasp all at once?"
Aldaeus gasps at Poynard.
Peejee gives a fake gasp.
Meris mimics a gasp.
Cogitatus gasps at Poynard.
Angaelen chuckles at Poynard.
Asherrean stifles a chuckle at the request.
Angaelen gasps at Poynard.
[Nadeshiko] says: It's hardly sporting. An old serpent with a cane!
Veras sneezes
Poynard smiles "There yah go. Not that hard...alright, where was I...OH YES!"
[Poynard] says: So I'm about to get my head bashed in by an over-grown water snake when all of a sudden this large furred thing leaps out of NO WHERE! No where I say!
[Elaran] says: Point of logic.
[Poynard] says: That's not accurate, since I am fairly certain it came from somewhere, because otherwise how could it suddenly be there?
Elaran nods at Poynard.
[Poynard] says: Way ahead of you.
[Meris] says: Coulda come from the Nether.
Cogitatus chuckles.
[Poynard] says: I suppose, but I doubt it.
[Nyidi] says: Or from anywhere.
Angaelen nods, motioning he may want to continue on before getting sidetracked ...
[Elaran] says: It came from the place that large, furry things come from.
Ingarath grins.
[Elaran] says: Mulgore.
Meris chuckles at Elaran.
[Poynard] says: And allow me to say, thanks to Veras for that little precursor to my tale. For in fact, I was confronted with a TAUREN!
[Poynard] says: Lets try that gasp again.
Nyidi gasps.
Elaran gasps at Poynard.
Peejee gives a fake gasp
Cogitatus mimics a gasp.
Meris sighs and emits another gasp.
Nadeshiko yawns sleepily at Jegen.
Angaelen covers her mouth, trying to stifle her laughter.
Poynard nods "Even better then before."
Aldaeus starts to gasp before choking on his lack of amusement.
[Poynard] says: So! A Tauren...a Tauren...okay! Right, a Tauren! A TAUREN! It was right there before me, having SLAIN the hideous serpent about to make me...significantly less cognitive.
Peejee stifles a chuckle.
Elaran snickers at Poynard.
[Poynard] says: But, my friends, you would be severely mistaken to think that we fought the Tauren.
Cogitatus listens intently.
[Poynard] says: Had I but known what Veras spoke of I'd have not been frightened. But...well, he sat down. Shared some food and then parted ways. It wasn't all that dramatic, actually.
Nadeshiko mumbles something about explosions.
[Elaran] says: Was the food good?
Jegen smiles at Nadeshiko.
[Poynard] says: He was a nice fellow. Moofa or some such. I don't recall the name.
Arrish smiles and waggles her fingers in a wave at Nadeshiko.
[Poynard] says: The food was alright. Just some beer braised ribs.
[Poynard] says: A bit dry, but can't complain.
Elaran nods at Poynard.
Cogitatus smiles at Poynard.
Nadeshiko waves cheerfully at Miss Arrish.
[Poynard] says: So...oh yes. Lazarus and I pressed on in to the Black Farther Depths! We didn't get far there.
[Poynard] says: There was a MASSIVE TURTLE inside! I mean...
Poynard doubles over laughing "It was HUGE! Amazing...you have no idea. Gigantic...oh..."
Angaelen nods to the good gnomess Nadeshiko.
[Nadeshiko] says: Did it die in a horrible explosion?
Poynard wipes at his eyes, letting his laughter die down "Hm? Light, no."
[Poynard] says: We just left.
Ingarath laughs.
Elaran giggles at Poynard.
[Poynard] says: Oh, well actually there was an explosion.
Cogitatus laughs at Poynard.
Nadeshiko perks up. 'Really?'
Angaelen nods, waiting for it ...
[Poynard] says: We ended up getting chased by massive crabs with humanoid features. Yes. Spindlecog rigged one of the pillars stuck in the roof of the walls to fall and crush them.
[Elaran] says: What were they crabby about?
Cogitatus chuckles quietly.
[Poynard] says: It worked, but I ended up getting struck by debris as well. I died, then had an experience I'd rather not discuss openly...I...guess that's really the whole story...we DID go to Stonetalon after that, but...I'll save that for another night I suppose.
[Poynard] says: I don't know. They are certainly dead now though.
[Elaran] says: Probably crabby about that...but they can't hurt anyone.
Angaelen blinks at the befuddled ending ...
Nyidi claps excitedly for Poynard.
Meris blinks. "I'm more curious now what you felt you didn’t' want to speak openly on.."
Elaran snickers at Poynard.
Ingarath blinks.
Elaran applauds at Poynard. Bravo!
[Ingarath] says: Er....well.
Cogitatus claps excitedly for Poynard.
Nadeshiko mumbles something about falling ceilings being nothing like explosions.
Ingarath claps excitedly for Poynard.
Angaelen agrees with you.
Arrish glances to Meris and smiles faintly. "Aye."
[Poynard] says: I'll save the rest for later.
Jorii claps excitedly for Poynard.
Arrish applauds at Poynard. Bravo!
Angaelen smiles, clapping kindly for Poynard.
Elarion claps excitedly.
[Ingarath] says: Thank you for sharing, Poynard.
Meris grins at Poynard.
Nadeshiko claps.
[Nyidi] says: I have one of those turtles in the Stormwind stables. He name is Errol.
Peejee claps for Poynard's fantastic tale.
Veras gives a brief clap or two
[Nyidi] says: They look like Errols, don't they?
Ingarath smiles softly.
[Ingarath] says: Well. Is there anyone else who would like to share with us?
Cogitatus chuckles softly in response to Nyidi.
Meris ponders for a moment, watching the crowd.
Angaelen slides the wrapped bundle towards Arrish, with several sheets of paper, gaze questioning.
Ingarath looks around.
Arrish looks down at it and then gives Angaelen an encouraging smile and a little nod.
Peejee nudges Meris gently with an encouraging look.
Asherrean looks up from the book he's been making notations in to see who is speaking next.
[Meris] says: I usually have a few favorite poets to draw from, if a reading is necessary in the interim...
[Nadeshiko] says: I left my Littler Gnomes Big Book of Poetry in Kharanos.
Ingarath looks to Angaelen.
Jegen chuckles at Nadeshiko.
[Meris] says: Surprised the Mellor man is not present tonight!
Ingarath nods.
Peejee nods at Neia in silent greeting.
Neia nods in return.
Cogitatus chuckles.
[Ingarath] says: Well, everyone can't always make it, right?
Ingarath smiles.
[Cogitatus] says: True, true.
Angaelen tilts her head to illicit confirmation ...
[Cogitatus] says: Anyone want dinner in the interim?
Meris nods at Ingarath. "Sometimes I wonder if he shapeshifts... and runs around as a mouse himself those weeks."
Ingarath laughs at you.
Cogitatus laughs at you.
[Ingarath] says: Ah...finally, his secret revealed.
Meris clears her throat and grins.
Angaelen grins at you wickedly.
[Nyidi] says: That might explain how he knows so much about this Mellor fellow
Elaran lets out a hearty chuckle.
Cogitatus laughs at Nyidi.
Meris flips open the book she was fiddling with to a bookmarked page.
[Cogitatus] says: Turning oneself into a mouse *would* be useful, at times.
Cogitatus smiles.
[Ingarath] says: Certainly.
Arrish smiles faintly. "He's busy tonight."
[Meris] says: Well... if no one has an original tale...
[Ingarath] says: Go on, Meris. I'd like to hear you.
Meris takes a deep breath and wipes clay off her dress.
Cogitatus turns his attention to Meris and smiles.
Elaran listens intently to you.
Meris looks down to the tome, tracing out the lines.
[Meris] says: To fly from, need not be to hate, mankind;
[Meris] says: All are not fit with them to stir and toil,
Asherrean looks up from his book and listens intently.
[Meris] says: Nor is it discontent to keep the mind
[Meris] says: Deep in its fountain; lest it overboil
[Meris] says: In the hot throng, where we become the spoil
[Meris] says: Of our infection, til too late and long
[Meris] says: We may deplore and struggle with the coil,
[Meris] says: In wretched interchange of wrong for wrong
Peejee smiles at you.
[Meris] says: 'midst a contentious world, striving where none are strong.
[Meris] says: There, in a moment, we may plunge our years
[Meris] says: In fatal penitence, and in the blight
[Meris] says: Of our own soul, turn all our blood to tears,
[Meris] says: And colour things to come with hues of night;
[Meris] says: The race of life becomes a hopeless flight
[Meris] says: To those who walk in darkness; on the sea,
Angaelen listens intently as the verse draws her in with a morbid seduction ...
[Meris] says: The boldest steer but where their ports invite;
[Meris] says: But there are wanders o'er eternity,
[Meris] says: Whose bark drives on and on, and anchored ne'er shall be.
Meris turns the page.
[Meris] says: I live not in myself, but I become
Cogitatus listens intently, but clearly seems confused.
[Meris] says: Portion of that around me; and to me,
[Meris] says: High mountains are a feeling but the hum
[Meris] says: Of human cities tortures; I can see
[Meris] says: Nothing to loathe in nature, save to be
[Meris] says: A link reluctant in a fleshly chain,
[Meris] says: Classed among creatures, where the soul can flee,
[Meris] says: And with the sky, the peak, the heaving plain
[Meris] says: Of ocean, or the stars, mingle, and not in vain.
Meris turns to the next page, again, taking another deep breath.
[Meris] says: I have not loved the world, nor the world me;
Nadeshiko falls asleep. Zzzzzzz.
[Meris] says: I have not flattered its rank breath, now bow'd
[Meris] says: To its idolatries a patient knee
[Meris] says: Not coined my cheek to smiles, nor cried aloud
[Meris] says: In worship of an echo; in the crowd
[Meris] says: They could not deem me one of such; I stood
[Meris] says: Among them, but not of them; in a shroud
[Autumntial] says: Have to be.
[Meris] says: Of thoughts which were not of their thoughts; and still could
[Meris] says: Had I not filed my mind, which thus itself subdued.
Jegen pokes Nadeshiko. Hey!
Autumntial makes a seat giving a nod to everyone
Meris closes the book with a snap and takes a little bow.
Aldaeus claps excitedly for you.
Arrish glances to Autumntial and smiles faintly.
Baydon claps excitedly for you.
Clementime nods to the crowd and sits
Nyidi applauds at you. Bravo!
Nadeshiko claps excitedly.
Ingarath claps excitedly for you.
Elaran applauds at you. Bravo!
Veras glances to Clementime and gives a bit of a nod to her and Autumntial
Cogitatus claps for Meris, but still appears confused.
Neia applauds.
Arrish applauds at you. Bravo!
Peejee smiles at you.
[Ingarath] says: Thank you, Meris.
Jorii claps excitedly for you.
[Peejee] says: Excellent selection Meris. Can I copy that from you sometime?
Clementime shoots a smile back at Veras
Meris glances over to Cogitatus. "Something bothering you?"
Asherrean looks to Meris, nods, a smile breaking out across his face.
[Meris] says: Yes, Peejee.
[Cogitatus] says: It's... just that I'm still having trouble making sense of the poem. I'm still not sure what it was about.
Angaelen nods, slowly coming out of her near-trance ...
Ingarath grins at Cogitatus.
Veras smirks slyly at Cogitatus.
[Cogitatus] says: Good rhythm, though.
Clementime is sad she heard naught but the two last lines
Meris smiles wryly at Cogitatus. "Vanity and futility, I believe."
Ingarath smiles at Meris.
Elaran looks pensive.
Clementime smiles at Asherrean
[Ingarath] says: Well....does anyone else have something to say before we disperse into the cool night?
Cogitatus thinks on this, then mutters "Huh."
Asherrean nods politely to Clementime, then glances around as if expecting to see someone else.
Cogitatus looks to Ingarath.
Angaelen curtsies before Arrish.
Clementime raises a timid hand then lowers it upon seeing someone rise
Meris looks over to Clementime.
Angaelen kneels before Arrish.
Arrish smiles up to Angaelen.
Ingarath smiles at Angaelen.
Clementime shakes her head at Asherrean
Aldaeus nods at Meris, "Well, vanity *is* futile."
Syddan prods Jegen in the back.
Angaelen unwraps the flute from its bindings, and raising it above her own head, holds it out to Arrish.
Jegen waves at Syddan.
Syddan waves.
Cogitatus waves at Syddan.
Syddan waves again.
Syddan waves a third time just in case.
Arrish gives Angaelen a surprised and questioning look.
Ingarath watches Arrish and Angaelen quietly.
Clementime tilts her head in thought of who is speaking next
[Jegen] says: If no one else is going to speak, I have a small piece I can tell
Angaelen darts an eye to the sheets of score, and to Arrish, and winks ...
Cogitatus turns his attention to Jegen.
[Clementime] says: I too have something I wish to read, when there is a lull of course.
[Arrish] says: I believe Miss Angaelen is going to... play? Would you like me to hold the score for you?
Clementime smiles timidly
Angaelen whispers ...
Syddan whispers to Jegen, "Uh, what's she doing?"
Ingarath watches Angaelen.
Jegen shrugs. Who knows?
Elaran peers at Angaelen searchingly.
Arrish arches her eyebrows in great surprise and accepts the flute, watching Angaelen closely.
Autumntial glances over studying the process
Cogitatus looks closely at Arrish as he sets a new fire.
Angaelen rises slowly, indicating the sequence of sheets.
Cogitatus turns his attention to the flint and tinder as he starts the fire.
Arrish rises to stand next to Angaelen, holding the flute rather tightly.
Neia looks curiously to the pair.
Elaran blinks.
Baydon taps Aldaeus lightly on the shoulder, gestures back towards the area behind him, and raises a brow in question.
Aldaeus nods at Baydon.
Clementime looks curious and slightly excited
[Angaelen] says: Of Nornoeda's shattered boughs and the house it sheltered while whoe, does my path find its origin.
Arrish lowers her gaze to the paper and blows into the flute. Both eyebrows go up as music accompanies Angaelen's song.
[Angaelen] says: Ever on it remains, the compass by whose course I sail ... For it was a beacon on the paths, a humble nest on the road to Hyjal, but its voice ...
[Angaelen] says: was like that of the words which bore its name from before Azshara's reign, the oaken hearted.
Syddan squints as she tries to work out what exactly is being said.
[Angaelen] says: So quietly did it grow, with the whispers of the ancients for its breath, seeing our best and our worst, bearing witness always as minds gathered and history did unfold.
[Angaelen] says: But when the very land turns from dream to nightmare, even as we withdrew, it pained me to know that the place of memories would find its sanctuary amongst the Irontree Woods lost to the woods named anew as Fel.
Arrish flickers a glance up to Angaelen, her expression settling from wonder to concentration as she keeps time with her, returning full attention to the score.
[Angaelen] says: What is lost is lost to the mists, lest some still live who know the tales. Thus then does ach of its claimants hold the seed ... though I may be but a leaf on the wind.
[Angaelen] says: Whispers abound in silence, ever does my heart weep for you, who are lost to us. To those who never saw, cursed and blessed do I mark thee, those who witness not. Ever more do I sigh, to think of that come and gone, back until the dance begun.
Cogitatus smiles as he listens to the song.
Ingarath listens, in awe.
Clementime leans and whispers to her companion quietly
[Angaelen] says: Another day passes to the slumber of the sun, and of its labors I know little to be done. Ever more, the sands go running through without ceasing in this torrent of moments lost to the ages. Shattered house of remembrance, why to thee does my life go?
Seran lies down.
Angaelen holds her last note as the song's last dirge of a note fades...
Meris looks mesmerizedly at Angaelen.
Angaelen curtsies.
Nyidi applauds at Angaelen. Bravo!
Cogitatus applauds at Angaelen. Bravo!
Nadeshiko claps excitedly.
Ingarath claps excitedly for Angaelen.
Elaran applauds at Angaelen. Bravo!
[Autumntial] says: Wow.
Autumntial claps excitedly.
Cogitatus applauds at Arrish. Bravo!
Elaran applauds at Arrish. Bravo!
Elarion claps excitedly for Angaelen.
Angaelen kneels down.
Arrish raises her gaze to meet Angaelen's again, lowering the flute from her lips. She looks a bit dazed.
Elarion smiles at Angaelen.
Poynard applauds at Angaelen. Bravo!
[Ingarath] says: That was wonderful!
Meris claps for Angaelen.
[Ingarath] says: Thank you!
[Elaran] says: Impressive.
Clementime claps excitedly for Angaelen.
Jorii claps excitedly for Angaelen.
Neia nods.
Syddan applauds. Bravo!
[Elarion] says: Yes, wonderful.
Arrish kneels before Angaelen.
Asherrean claps excitedly for Aldaeus.
Arrish offers the flute back, murmuring to her.
Ingarath shakes himself, as if awakening from a dream.
[Peejee] says: Beautiful.
Angaelen kneels down.
[Cogitatus] says: Beautiful performance.
Cogitatus smiles.
Angaelen delicately wraps the flute once more in its cloak.
[Ingarath] says: Well. Thank you again, Angaelen.
Angaelen curtsies before Arrish.
Arrish curtsies before Angaelen.
Arrish settles back down again, blinking.
Angaelen nods in silence.
[Ingarath] says: Now....I know we had a few people who wanted to go next.
Cogitatus looks around.
Veras thinks for a bit
Ingarath looks to Clementime. "Miss, did you have something to share?"
Clementime looks expectantly at the crowd
[Veras] says: Hmmm I need to summon someone, I will return in a second or two.
[Nadeshiko] says: I have something.
Ingarath nods at Veras.
Ellian blinks at the blessing, then plops down behind Arrish.
[Clementime] says: Aye, I did. Yet I was hoping someone could go prior to me, I am awaiting someone arrival.
Jegen blinks and looks over at Nadeshiko
[Ingarath] says: Oh, well. In that case, Nadeshiko, would you like to speak first...?
Clementime smiles apologetically
[Ingarath] says: Or Jegen...?
[Nadeshiko] says: Yes!
Ingarath claps excitedly for Nadeshiko.
Arrish smiles to Clementine and Nadeshiko both. Catching sight of Ellian she unfolds a large floppy hat from her satchel and waves it at her.
[Nadeshiko] says: I have a piece of old gnomish poetry.
Asherrean re-opens the book in his lap and flips back several pages as if looking for something.
[Nadeshiko] says: Don't worry, like gnomes, our poetry is short.
Ingarath grins wickedly at Nadeshiko.
Ellian looks curiously at the hat, then narrows her eyes at the sight of Arrish's dress.
Veras bows before Lizabetha.
Elaran is curious what Nadeshiko is up to.
Peejee bows before Lizabetha.
Jegen grins wickedly at Nadeshiko.
Neia nods.
Lizabetha smiles.
Peejee greets Calithos with a hearty hello!
[Nadeshiko] says: This is the seminal piece of our great poet laureate Splootweasel.
Autumntial slightly lets his legs sprawl out getting more comfortable.
Syddan waves at Calithos.
Calithos hugs Peejee.
Peejee hugs Calithos.
Calithos waves at Syddan.
Arrish 's smile turns faintly wicked at Ellian, then she gives her full attention to Nadeshiko.
Ninshubar smiles at Calithos.
Angaelen raises her fingers in a silent wave to Syddan.
Ingarath listens intently to Nadeshiko.
Elaran listens intently to Nadeshiko.
[Nadeshiko] says: It may loose a little in translation to Common, but I tried to stay faithful to the spirit of the piece.
Meris glances back over to Calithos.
Nadeshiko clears her throat.
Clementime smiles with anticipation
Neia looks over to Nadeshiko expectantly.
[Nadeshiko] says: Ahem.
Nadeshiko takes a deep breath.
Autumntial smiles ready to hear
[Nadeshiko] says: There was an old gnome from the hills.
[Nadeshiko] says: Who invented these great purple pills.
[Nadeshiko] says: Take one each morning
[Nadeshiko] says: Then soon, without warning...
Veras blinks and looks a bit surprised, he leans back
[Nadeshiko] says: Everything you touch EXPLODES in a fiery ball of fiery flame!
Seran gasps at Nadeshiko.
Nadeshiko bows down graciously.
Poynard applauds at Nadeshiko. Bravo!
Autumntial eyes widen
Arrish looks surprised.
Ellian applauds at Nadeshiko. Bravo!
Elaran chuckles at Nadeshiko.
[Nadeshiko] says: Thank you.
Ingarath laughs at Nadeshiko.
Elaran claps excitedly for Nadeshiko.
Ingarath claps excitedly for Nadeshiko.
Arrish applauds at Nadeshiko. Bravo!
Nyidi claps excitedly for Nadeshiko.
Seran claps excitedly for Nadeshiko.
Cogitatus claps excitedly.
Neia smiles widely.
[Autumntial] says: Well.
[Clementime] says: How lovely.
Autumntial claps excitedly.
[Poynard] says: Ha ha! I love poetry!
[Ingarath] says: Thank you for sharing!
A sly smirk spreads across Clementime's face.
Syddan claps uncertainly.
[Ellian] says: That was /good/!
Angaelen claps in her shock at the sudden twist.
Nadeshiko smiles,.
Wendall greets everyone with a hearty hello!
[Ingarath] says: Jegen, shall we hear from you next...?
[Jegen] says: Well...My piece is a touch more Grim than the last few, I'm not sure if you would enjoy it as much
Wendall pokes Syddan. Hey!
Syddan wonders if a wave is appropriate this close up, but pokes Wendall instead.
[Poynard] says: Nonsense! Somber us up!
Clementime shakes her head as if to say that is nonsense
Nadeshiko listens attentively.
Cogitatus smiles and turns his attention to Jegen.
Sithrade smiles at Clementime.
Autumntial waves at Sithrade.
Sithrade waves at Autumntial.
Elaran looks over at Jegen and listens.
Clementime notices Sithrade take a seat next to her and her face visibly brightens she leans over and kisses his cheek
Veras looks over his shoulder and raises an eyebrow
Lizabetha smiles at Sylvanda.
Sithrade smiles very happily at Clementime
Wendall greets Kennia with a hearty hello!
[Clementime] says: Besides sir, if your piece is grim, mine will alter the mood again.
[Jegen] says: Well, I assume that none of you would know this, but this past weekend would have been my late sister's birthday. Though She is no longer here, I still felt like I should do something in her memory, and I wrote this on that day
Ingarath grins.
Taijiang nods at Clementime.
Veras smiles and looks over he nods to Taijiang and Kennia in greeting
Calithos snuggles up to Peejee, whispering something to her.
Seran peers at Jegen searchingly.
Syddan frowns.
Arrish glances over at Taijiang and Kennia and gives them a faint smile and a nod.
Cogitatus listens intently to Jegen.
Peejee leans back against Calithos, listening intently.
Neia looks over to Jegen, brow furrowed.
Angaelen nods to Jegen sympathetically.
Clementime smile Tai Jiang and Kennia
[Jegen] says: The City grows quiet, The gears ground to a halt
[Jegen] says: The troggs linger still, after their assault
Autumntial leans back and pats Tai on the back and nods to his friend with a smile
[Jegen] says: Toxic green mist fills the air
[Jegen] says: Corrupting those who remain there
Wendall lets out a long, drawn-out sigh.
[Jegen] says: The Traitor who still roams the halls
Arrish tilts her head, listening carefully to Jegen.
[Jegen] says: The Root of the problem, the cause of it all
[Jegen] says: For his treachery, He will do no time
[Jegen] says: His death is the only retribution for this crime
[Jegen] says: We will strike back, they will not win
[Jegen] says: The city will be ours again
Cogitatus mutters very quietly under his breath "Thermaplug".
Veras sneezes before shifting around a bit, he starts to nod off
Elaran closes her eyes and wipes a tear from one cheek.
Sylvanda settles down and begins to chew on Veras' cloak unnoticed.
Sylvanda lies down.
Ingarath sighs softly.
Neia curls inward, holding her knees as she listens
Cuprifex nods.
Ingarath wraps an arm around Elaran.
Jegen looks around at the crowd
Cogitatus has a stern face as he looks into the fire, apparently remembering something.
Taijiang gently pats Autumntial on the shoulder, with a quiet 'hello'
Seran peers around, searchingly.
Elaran leans on Ingarath.
Cogitatus then looks up at Jegen, and nods at him solemnly.
Nadeshiko whispers loudly, "Do I clap now?"
Angaelen stares at Jegen across the fire, nodding with a moment of silence on her mind.
Jegen whispers back, "I don't think that gets a clap..."
Ingarath can't help but laugh at Nadeshiko.
[Ingarath] says: Thank you, Jegen.
Autumntial smirks then stares up into the sky
Seran coughs slightly
Clementime smiles at Jegen and nods
Seran applauds at Jegen. Bravo!
[Jegen] says: Your welcome
Neia nods quietly to Jegen.
Poynard nods to Jegen in appreciation.
Sylvanda starts to purr as she gnaws on the material waiting for stories.
Elaran speaks in an angry, quavering voice. "So shall it be."
Calithos quietly hrms.
[Seran] says: Nicely.. er.. done.
Meris shoots Elaran a strange look.
[Cogitatus] says: I assume your sister didn't... make it out?
Jegen shakes his head
Nadeshiko reaches back to pet Sylvanda.
[Cogitatus] says: You have my condolences.
Ingarath frowns.
[Ingarath] says: I'm so sorry to hear that, Jegen.
[Jegen] says: I lost all my known family there....
Autumntial glances back down to the gnome who spoke while nodding
[Autumntial] says: Mine as well.
Syddan shakes herself from thought and pulls out several bowls of soup.
Seran frowns deeply
Neia whispers to herself "So few did."
Sylvanda nuzzles Nadeshiko then returns to her task of eating the cloak.
Clementime looks very sad indeed at the prospect
Peejee offers Jegen a sad smile, "At least you live on.. with their memories."
Ellian sits back, looking distinctly uncomfortable.
[Ingarath] says: Well.
[Elaran] says: And their will.
Ingarath nods.
[Nadeshiko] says: My family all live... because I remember them.
[Clementime] says: At least your preserve those memories, and honor their lives.. with your craft.
Nadeshiko looks defiant.
Jegen nods.
Syddan shrugs at Jegen. Who knows?
[Autumntial] says: I am sure everyone remembers their family.
[Elaran] says: The gears shall turn, the troggs shall burn, and all will be right with the world.
Ellian coughs.
Cuprifex snorts. Quietly.
Jegen nods at Elaran.
Seran nods.
Ingarath nods at Elaran slowly.
Meris gives Neia a somewhat worried glance.
Angaelen bows her head respectfully.
Neia still sits in thought.
Ingarath shakes himself, coming back to attention, shaking a thought away.
Peejee follows Meris' look and her grin slips a bit as she sees Neia.
Clementime smiles at Ingarath motioning that she is ready
[Cogitatus] says: I thank the Light I still have my family. It's hard for me to imagine losing them.
Ingarath notices Clementine, nodding.
Cogitatus lets out a long, drawn-out sigh.
[Poynard] says: You never cope with the loss of family. Ever.
[Clementime] says: I suppose in that way I would be thankful I never knew mine.
Autumntial turns nodding to Arrish with a smile as if thinking of something that relates to her
Ingarath blinks at Clementime.
Calithos quietly nods.
[Clementime] says: Shall I?
Asherrean nods at Poynard's comment.
Cogitatus glances up at Clementime.
Clementime tilts her head at Ingarath
[Ingarath] says: Please.
Taijiang nods at Clementine
Sithrade smiles up at Clementime
Autumntial glances to Clementime
Sylvanda lies down.
[Clementime] says: Well I am afraid mine piece is of a completely different caliber.
Seran eyes Clementime up and down.
Angaelen looks to Clementine.
Elaran peers at Clementime and listens.
Arrish shakes away her reflections, looking to Clementime.
[Clementime] says: It is also not written by me, but a contemporary and it is my favorite poem.
Sylvanda rips off a piece of Veras' cloak and blinks before gnawing on it and trying to get it out of her mouth rolling her tongue around.
Sithrade smiles encouragingly to Clementime
Clementime nods and then clears her throat to begin as she speaks the poem she walks about the circle
[Clementime] says: Let me not to the marriage of true minds
[Clementime] says: Admit impediments. Love is not love
[Clementime] says: Which alters when it alteration finds.
Cuprifex grins, recognizing a favorite author of his.
[Clementime] says: Or bends with the remover to remove:
Seran listens intently to Clementime.
Syddan frowns at her hearthstone, and hits it up against the ground a couple times.
[Clementime] says: O no! It is an ever-fixed mark
Taijiang slips a hand over Kennia's discretely
[Clementime] says: That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
Kennia smiles and bites her lip
[Clementime] says: It is the star to every wandering bark,
Autumntial looks to the ground listening as if the piece reminds him of something
[Clementime] says: Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
[Clementime] says: Love's not times fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Elaran lays her head in Ingarath's lap, and sighs contentedly.
[Clementime] says: Within his bending sickles compass come
[Clementime] says: Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
Ingarath idly strokes Elaran's hair.
[Clementime] says: but bears it out even to the edge of doom
[Clementime] says: If this be error and upon me proved, I never writ, nor no man ever loved.
Sithrade smiles proudly at Clementime
Clementime curtsies.
Nyidi applauds at Clementime. Bravo!
Cuprifex applauds at Clementime. Bravo!
Sithrade claps excitedly for Clementime.
Cogitatus claps excitedly for Clementime.
Elaran applauds at Clementime. Bravo!
Peejee claps excitedly for Clementime.
Autumntial claps excitedly for Clementime.
Arrish applauds at Clementime. Bravo!
Jorii claps excitedly for Clementime.
Angaelen nods appreciatively, taking it in.
Calithos smiles somewhat. "Quite lovely."
Poynard claps excitedly for Clementime.
Meris claps for Clementime.
Sithrade smiles brightly and kisses Clementime on the cheek
Seran claps excitedly for Clementime.
Ingarath claps excitedly for Clementime.
Syddan applauds. Bravo!
Taijiang smiles appreciatively, nodding at Clementime
Clementime smiles at Sithrade and kisses him
Neia nods, still a little to soberly.
[Ingarath] says: Thank you.
[Clementime] says: Thank you.
Syddan gives up bashing her hearthstone.
Clementime nods at Ingarath and the crowd
Cogitatus smiles and nods at Clementime.
Syddan waves goodbye to everyone. Farewell!
Cogitatus waves goodbye to Syddan. Farewell!
Elaran waves goodbye to Syddan. Farewell!
Autumntial waves goodbye to Syddan. Farewell!
Taijiang smiles at Syddan.
[Ingarath] says: Would anyone else like to speak..?
Calithos hrms.
[Calithos] says: I'll give it a go..
Cuprifex glances around curiously.
Cogitatus looks around at the circle.
Calithos smiles, slowly standing.
Cogitatus turns his attention to Calithos.
Taijiang nods discretely at Cogitatus as his eyes pass over him
Sithrade gazes adoringly at Clementime
Ellian fiddles with her hat, making the point sharper.
Ingarath claps excitedly for Calithos.
[Calithos] says: My..stories are a tad unconventional. I usually tell of my strange experiences.
Arrish looks to Calithos curiously.
[Seran] says: Ooh.. that sounds nice
Calithos quietly moves to a more open spot.
Autumntial peers in a hidden fashion at the night elf next him. Sort of a studying quiet glance.
Clementime raises a brow in contemplative curiosity
Elaran peers at Calithos.
Angaelen nods, curious to what would be so orthodox therein.
Seran gently pats Great Goretusk.
Peejee nods at Rugger in silent greeting.
[Calithos] says: Now...I was in the Forge one day, and apparently the man who..'hires' me for some jobs, had a commission for me to go to the Spire.
[Cogitatus] says: Spire?
Calithos quietly points to the north. "That particular Spire."
Cogitatus furrows his brow in confusion.
[Calithos] says: The big nasty one with the Blackrock Orcs..
Cogitatus nods. "Ah."
Angaelen looks about for confirmation and elucidation.
Kennia covers her mouth
Ingarath blinks.
[Cogitatus] says: Blackrock Spire, in the Burning Steppes?
[Arrish] says: Oh my.
[Calithos] says: Yep.
Cogitatus nods, then falls silent.
[Calithos] says: Apparently there are some treasures there that still linger about, collecting dust and value in coin.
[Angaelen] says: Ah ...
Elaran lays her head back down.
Jorii waves goodbye to every1 here
Cuprifex picks idly at a fingernail, having known what he meant in the first place.
Elaran waves goodbye to Jorii. Farewell!
Jorii waves goodbye to everyone. Farewell!
Ingarath waves at Jorii.
Autumntial waves goodbye to Jorii. Farewell!
[Calithos] says: So! We were given a ram, a large cart, and about a dozen good folk like you and me..
Ingarath nods slowly at Elaran.
Arrish looks intrigued.
[Calithos] says: The particular being this married couple, a mage and an Elven warrioress.
Autumntial listens on with a smile
Elaran blinks at Calithos.
Sylvanda spits out Veras' cloak and snuggles against Nadeshiko purring.
[Elaran] says: Odd couple.
Sylvanda lies down.
[Calithos] says: They wouldn't stop making with the lovey dovey actions the entire trip.
Ingarath nods. "Indeed..."
[Seran] says: Aww...
Elaran grins wickedly at Ingarath.
[Calithos] says: Rather annoying due to the fact twice we nearly got attacked by things the climbs out of lava.
Clementime glances guiltily Sithrade
Cogitatus laughs.
[Autumntial] says: Nothing is better than saying, "I love you" around blood thirsty Orcs!
Autumntial excuses himself
Cogitatus sniggers in response to Autumntial.
Seran shrugs. Who knows?
Peejee chuckles softly
[Poynard] says: I find nothing quite says lovin' like a pie in the oven.
[Calithos] says: Anyway, with only minor burns to the cart, we get to the Spire. We were quietly trekking up towards the spire's inner workings, when we sadly met up with a small troupe of Orcs.
Angaelen looks on rather incredulously ...
Veras blinks at Poynard.
Arrish looks amused.
Cuprifex gives Poynard an odd look.
[Ellian] says: Pie. Mm.
[Calithos] says: About four or five, I believe. All decked out in nasty armor. Mostly smeared in blood.
Elaran snickers at Poynard.
Angaelen smirks bemusedly at Elaran.
[Calithos] says: And we certainly did not plan on finding out WHO'S blood.
Poynard doesn't seem to quite understand why he is getting bad looks, so quickly goes to puffing at his pipe.
Ingarath sneaks a kiss from Elaran.
[Calithos] says: So after about ten seconds being IN the spire, we're already fighting a troupe of orcs..we weren't that lucky, either.
Cuprifex shoos Great Goretusk away. Be gone pest!
[Calithos] says: We were oddly being forced back, towards the exit..until a large round metal ball landed on one of the Orcs.
Elaran sighs at Ingarath.
Cogitatus blinks at Calithos.
Elaran blinks at Calithos.
[Autumntial] says: Metal ball?
Angaelen blinks at Calithos.
[Calithos] says: The only thing we heard was some garbled words before we all went flying from an explosion.
[Calithos] says: What we failed to see was the burning rope connected to the large metal ball.
[Elaran] says: Bomb. From the sound of it, made by a bored goblin.
Cogitatus laughs at Elaran.
[Cogitatus] says: A *very* bored goblin.
Cuprifex chuckles.
[Calithos] says: Oh...by the Light do I wish it was a goblin.
Peejee grins wickedly at Calithos.
Ellian looks affronted at the goblin jests.
[Calithos] says: After we realized we didn't die, we got up..and realized that a couple of the Orcs did.
[Calithos] says: Mainly because part of them was incinerated.
[Calithos] says: Just about here..
Calithos makes a line on himself, from the middle of the neck to his abdomen.
Cuprifex mutters, "He's not alive, Bill. Alive people have more insides on the inside."
Kennia nods at Veras.
[Arrish] says: Ouch.
[Calithos] says: Anyway, we obviously wanted to thank whoever the hell just did that for us.
[Seran] says: Of course
Angaelen winces at the demonstration.
[Calithos] says: Until we turned to see behind us. About ten forsaken. With two ghouls pulling a large cart, full of dynamite.
Cogitatus smiles. "Heh."
[Taijiang] says: Hoping they weren't aiming for you, I suspect
Elaran blinks at Calithos.
[Elaran] says: Er.
[Elaran] says: That would be your cue to run.
[Calithos] says: Oh, we planned to run.
[Autumntial] says: If there ever was one
Autumntial laughs.
[Arrish] says: Clever. Empty the explosives, fill the now-empty cart with treasure.
[Seran] says: Wandering bomb salesmen are interesting.
Ellian gives Arrish an approving look.
Elaran chuckles at Seran.
[Calithos] says: No, no..they planned on blowing their way to the treasure.
Cogitatus laughs at Seran.
[Seran] says: Oh..
[Calithos] says: I was pretty sure of that, at least.
Angaelen chuckles at the thought of a bunch of grenadiers haggling to keep their cart ...
[Calithos] says: Anyway, we stood there, and the dwarf with us was ready to fire his gun. A forsaken on the other side ready to do that same thing.
[Calithos] says: Until we were interrupted by the sound of very angry Orcs.
[Calithos] says: From one side came a bunch of angry Orcs...and from another side came a bunch of just as angry Orcs..
[Calithos] says: Apparently the other Orcs survived the blast.
[Calithos] says: And brought back friends for us to be lunch for.
Cogitatus chuckles.
[Calithos] says: Anyway, apparently in the span of five seconds, we instantly had a mental agreement with the Forsaken to deal with each other AFTER we deal with the Orcs, and so we began blowing and beating the living hell out of any black rock that came after us.
Nadeshiko listens intently, grinning.
Elaran chuckles at Calithos.
Cogitatus chuckles at Calithos.
Autumntial laughs at Agahmath.
Cuprifex grins.
[Seran] says: Pft..
Veras glances over his shoulder and blinks
[Calithos] says: We were doing rather well. Explosions, blasts of ice and fire, and a succubus using her thighs to leap onto Orc head then snap their necks.
[Veras] says: Uhhh.... my cloak....
Cuprifex blinks at the image.
Ellian blinks at that last part.
Elaran blinks at Calithos.
[Seran] says: Thighs for snapping an Orcs head.. yes..
[Calithos] says: Not to mention the clanging and slashing and bashing and all the sorts.
Seran coughs
[Arrish] says: Ugh.
Ingarath twitches.
Meris giggles at Calithos.
Sylvanda 's tongue lolls from her mouth as she looks to Veras then back to the man telling the story.
[Calithos] says: Apparently the mage with us...was a pyromancer.
Nadeshiko mumbles happily something about explosions.
Calithos seems to say that very grim.
Elaran raises an eyebrow at Calithos.
Angaelen rolls her eyes at the detour ...
Cuprifex considers the combination of blasting powder and magical fire.
Ellian starts to look proud, but then notices the tone.
Poynard puffs at it his pipe, listening and trying to form little shapes with the smoke.
Ingarath murmurs, "Oh dear."
[Elaran] says: Wait.
Agahmath smiles at Ellian.
[Elaran] says: Explosives...and...a pyromancer.
[Calithos] says: Hm?
[Calithos] says: Oh, you're seeing the picture..
[Seran] says: Mmm..
Cogitatus suddenly makes the connection.
Elaran sighs dreamily.
[Cogitatus] says: Uh-oh....
Autumntial laughs.
[Cuprifex] says: It's a big yellow and red picture.
[Calithos] says: Yes, he thought he'd take them all out in one fell swoop.
Ellian beams.
Arrish says defensively, "What's wrong with pyro--oh."
Nadeshiko cheers at Jegen!
[Calithos] says: He threw a fireball at their cart.
[Elaran] says: As any good pyromancer would.
Asherrean shakes his head, vaguely amused.
[Arrish] says: Well, that has a certain... point.
[Calithos] says: We ALL saw him throw a fireball at the cart.
Jegen blinks at Nadeshiko
Sithrade coughs
Ellian nods at Elaran's words.
[Arrish] says: Not very subtle.
[Calithos] says: We all looked at each other.
Angaelen nods gravely at Arrish ...
[Cogitatus] says: Oooooh, dear....
[Calithos] says: We all then ran screaming like girls.
Elaran winks slyly at Arrish.
Agahmath lets out a hearty chuckle.
Cogitatus laughs.
Elaran laughs at Calithos.
Cuprifex giggles.
Cuprifex coughs, embarrassed.
[Elaran] says: Hmm...pyromancy...and bombs.
[Calithos] says: I being the wisest and making sure to keep myself AWAY from the carts.
Clementime raises brow
Cuprifex chuckles in a manly fashion instead.
Elaran looks thoughtful.
[Clementime] says: Girl?
Clementime coughs
[Calithos] says: In the span of four seconds, we ran faster than most cheetahs..and then it hit.
[Nadeshiko] says: Boom!
[Seran] says: Pft..
Seran peers at Sylvanda searchingly.
Cuprifex threatens Great Goretusk with the wrath of doom.
[Calithos] says: The mountain itself shook from all the combined explosives.
Autumntial glances to the cheetah across the circle imagining a race between them.
Elaran giggles evilly at that image.
[Calithos] says: When the smoke cleared..we saw what happened.
Nadeshiko grins wickedly at Calithos.
Sylvanda notices people staring at her and licks her lips before lying down again. Once more chewing on Veras' cloak.
Sylvanda lies down.
[Calithos] says: Luckily, none of us were hurt..until we saw the ram freaking out, dangling over the lava with the cart breaking away from the jut of rock it was on.
Veras grumbles and tugs at his cloak
[Veras] says: Stop that.
[Elaran] says: Eep.
[Calithos] says: Snap, snap, snap...then foosh.
Ingarath chuckles.
[Calithos] says: Char boiled ram.
Seran gasps.
Sylvanda tugs back purring playfully
[Calithos] says: And cart.
[Elaran] says: Ooh...
[Autumntial] says: Ugh, that's terrible.
Cuprifex grimaces. "Tasty."
Cogitatus lets out a long, drawn-out sigh.
[Taijiang] says: Oh, it was that kind of ram
Agahmath shakes his head a little, quite fond of his racial mount.
[Elaran] says: Poor ram.
[Cogitatus] says: What a way to go.
[Calithos] says: Yeah, it happened to the ghouls...or what was left of them, at least.
Taijiang nods a bit
[Calithos] says: We then also saw we basically blew up the entire bridge connecting the mountain to the inner workings to the spire over the lava.
Veras grumbles as examines his tatters of a cloak, half of it still in Sylvanda's mouth
Elaran cackles maniacally at Calithos.
[Calithos] says: We..near the exit..
[Cuprifex] says: I think "boom" may have been understating the case.
[Calithos] says: And the Forsaken..near the spire.
[Elaran] says: Deep fried Forsaken.
[Calithos] says: We basically saw we got fucked over in that event.
Cuprifex snickers.
[Calithos] says: No, they seemed to be as lucky as us.
Sylvanda paws the ground in front of her the sharp claws shredding the dirt and grass. And lightly grazing Veras' thigh as she thinks about cooked ram.
Calithos quietly pulls out a pretzel stick, and puts it in his mouth, chewing it around like a cigar.
[Autumntial] says: Wow, did deathwing revive and come eat you all? Sounds like the bad luck is endless.
Elaran chuckles at Autumntial.
[Calithos] says: Anyway, we decided to call it a day, and..not attempt that again for a bit.
Cogitatus snickers in response to Autumntial.
Angaelen nods to the man sitting on her left.
[Elaran] says: Bombs...hmm.
Nadeshiko whispers something to Jegen, looking quite agitated.
Calithos pulls out a match, and lights it, burning the front part of the pretzel, then blowing it and the match out. He then puts it back in his mouth, puffing it every so often.
[Calithos] says: Anyway, we decided to head back..a tiny problem, though..
Cuprifex peers at the pretzel, bemused.
[Calithos] says: The entire path was more or less covered in spiders the size of three elves.
[Calithos] says: Wait, no...one elf would do.
[Calithos] says: Anyway...I really hate spiders.
[Cogitatus] says: Wasn't that the way you came in?
Seran shrugs. Who knows?
Veras grumbles about dry cleaning bills
Autumntial laughs at Calithos.
[Cogitatus] says: ...or did you enter from the south?
[Calithos] says: No..we got forced to another exit.
[Arrish] says: That's a lot of spider.
[Cogitatus] says: Ah, so you entered from the south, and left through the north?
[Calithos] says: We came from the south. We didn't even realize we moved s far.
[Arrish] says: Oh, /those/ spiders.
[Calithos] says: Yeah.
Ellian amuses herself by tossing pebbles at Arrish.
[Calithos] says: So..through the spiders we go.
Cogitatus nods and listens.
Sylvanda sits up her tongue lolling tot he side over Veras' shoulder drool slowly dripping onto his shoulder.
Cuprifex amuses himself picturing the three elves hitting the spider with sticks.
Arrish glances back after the first one, and starts catching them offhandedly.
[Calithos] says: And I'd like to admit, spiders creep me the fuck out.
Cuprifex agrees with Calithos.
Ingarath nods. "Reasonable."
[Calithos] says: So, like any intelligent person, I took the road best traveled.
Elaran agrees with Ingarath.
[Autumntial] says: I am sure you're not alone in that.
[Dominik] says: Dastardly things, spiders.
Clementime contemplates silk qualities.
[Calithos] says: Whenever I saw a spider, I screamed, hid behind the warrioress, and had her squash it.
Cuprifex blinks hard at Asherrean. "Nice."
[Cogitatus] says: They creep me out too. That's why I blasted them with frostbolts when I was there.
Veras simply looks.... bewildered by the large tongue now over his shoulder
Elaran giggles at Calithos.
Cogitatus laughs at Calithos.
Neia mutters "This from the man with the eye..."
Sylvanda stares at the shoulder armor wondering how it'd taste.
Calithos takes a chomp from his pretzel, now halfway through his pretzel.
Cuprifex hears Neia and winces, shuddering slightly.
Clementime gets up slowly and takes a few steps watching for Kennia behind her
[Calithos] says: Now..we got to the Forge.
Kennia smiles at Clementime.
Clementime nods to the crowd and yawns haphazardly
[Calithos] says: Our 'employer', Rockrose, decided to get real pissy about the subject.
Sithrade waves slightly to everyone
Cogitatus waves at Sithrade.
Asherrean turns and nods to the departing pair.
Taijiang waves at Sithrade.
[Calithos] says: He said we owed him a cart and a ram, close to a hundred and twenty gold.
Autumntial glances over seeing them leave then turns back around smiling to Calithos
Seran lets out a long, drawn-out sigh.
Agahmath gasps at Calithos.
[Veras] says: Uhhhh....
[Calithos] says: The mage decided to make a barter.
Veras looks to the cat
[Taijiang] says: There go the profits
Taijiang shakes his head ruefully
Kennia snickers
[Elaran] says: Uh oh.
[Veras] says: Why... are you eating my gear?
Ellian draws obscene doodles in the dirt as she listens.
[Calithos] says: He had a Divination Cube. They're pretty 3 inch metal blocks that are gnomish technology. They record things and such.
Sylvanda blinks at Veras and tilts her head to the side her tongue flicking out again.
Seran eyes Veras, with Sylvanda behind him, grins slightly, then looks back to Calithos
Calithos shuffles around in his robes, and pulls out a 3 inch per side dull metal colored cube.
Veras suddenly smirks, and grabs for the tongue
Nyidi whispers at Veras, "I think it's hungry."
[Calithos] says: They're rather lovely items.
[Calithos] says: I keep one to record my thoughts.
Elaran snickers quietly at Veras.
Sylvanda pulls her tongue in quickly and closes her mouth snapping at Veras' hand
Calithos shoves it back in his robes, and takes another chomp, an inch away from the burned part to his lips.
Peejee swings her eyes over to Veras and quirks an eyebrow, an amused grin on her lips.
[Calithos] says: He said it was an empty Cube, fresh for use.
[Calithos] says: The mage handed it over to Rockrose.
Veras jumps and jerks back his hand
Angaelen wonders if Veras' cloak smells of bacon the way the cat watches it ... then turns back to the story.
[Calithos] says: Rockrose, being the complete klutz he was, dropped it.
Taijiang taps Kennia gently on the shoulder, showing her his gnomish pocketwatch
Cuprifex laughs.
Kennia nods and Slowly gets up
[Cogitatus] says: Oh dear....
[Calithos] says: Now, normally if they have nothing, they don't activate.
Kennia gives Tai a Friendly Push
Nadeshiko sniffs Veras.
Taijiang nods 'sorry' to Calithos
[Calithos] says: The cube, however, activated and decided to show everyone what was inside.
Kennia smiles.
Taijiang discretely nods good night to those gathered
[Elaran] says: I have a bad feeling about this.
Nadeshiko mumbles something vaguely disappointed sounding.
[Cogitatus] says: No kidding, Elaran.
Cogitatus smiles at Elaran.
Arrish nods to Tai and then looks back to the story, amused.
Seran eyes Calithos with interest
Sylvanda licks the side of Veras head causing his hair to stand on end.
Elaran winks slyly at Cogitatus.
A sly smirk spreads across Agahmath's face.
[Calithos] says: So..me, a dozen people, Rockrose, and half his staff, were treated to a ten second show of the Warrioress naked, bathing in the lake, singing Rubber Ducky.
[Agahmath] says: ....
[Seran] says: Mmmm...
Agahmath cackles maniacally at the situation.
[Cuprifex] says: ....
[Angaelen] says: ...
[Calithos] says: The Warrioress immediately kicked the cube.
Elaran laughs at Calithos.
Autumntial eyes widen then laughs loudly
Cuprifex dies. Twice.
Dominik raises an eyebrow, smirking.
Elaran laughs at Calithos.
Cogitatus smirks.
[Calithos] says: It whacked Rockrose square in the eyes, breaking.
Ingarath laughs.
[Seran] says: Aww....
[Calithos] says: Down Rockrose went, for an hour and a half.
Agahmath lets out a hearty chuckle.
Nyidi winces
Cogitatus chuckles quietly.
[Arrish] says: Oh dear.
[Calithos] says: With the cube repeating the light "You're so fine" over and over while the warrioress was fondling herself.
Cuprifex laughs.
Elaran laughs at Calithos.
Angaelen shakes her head slowly.
Veras makes a vaguely disgusted face
[Calithos] says: I think that was the time I learned how to ERASE things on these little buggers.
[Veras] says: Anyone have.... fish.... or something?
Cogitatus manages to put on a straight face again.
[Calithos] says: Thank you.
Calithos bows down graciously.
Angaelen nods at Veras ...
Elaran can't stop chuckling.
Dominik grins over at Veras.
Cuprifex applauds at Calithos. Bravo!
Angaelen sets down a parcel.
[Peejee] says: I do actually..
[Dominik] says: I've some pork.
[Cogitatus] says: I do, Veras.
Nyidi claps excitedly.
Ingarath claps excitedly for Calithos.
[Autumntial] says: Wow, nice story
Autumntial claps excitedly.
Peejee waves around some [Raw Bristle Whisker Catfish].
Nadeshiko claps excitedly for Veras.
Elaran applauds at Calithos. Bravo!
Sylvanda shifts and grins
Neia claps excitedly for Calithos.
Calithos then turns, and spits out the piece of pretzel, spitting out the burnt piece.
Ellian claps excitedly for Calithos.
Nyidi is glad she never has... adventures like that.
Seran applauds at Calithos. Bravo!
Meris smiles at Calithos.
Calithos quietly sits, pulling out another pretzel.
Poynard claps excitedly for Calithos.
[Seran] says: That was the best story ever.. definitely
Agahmath applauds at Calithos. Bravo!
[Ingarath] says: Thank you for sharing!
Cogitatus applauds at Calithos. Bravo!
[Sylvanda] says: Actually I have a poem if I am allowed.
[Sylvanda] says: Wonderful story though.
[Arrish] says: Quite an adventure. I'll have to remember not to keep a pyromancer too close to a cart of explosives.
[Nyidi] says: Everyone's allowed. Except for the boars.
Seran eyes Sylvanda up and down.
Arrish gives Ellian a meaningful look.
Ellian frowns at Arrish.
Nadeshiko looks up at Sylvanda.
Veras holds back the fish but then just *stops* as he sees it is Sylvanda, and he just frowns, frozen in that half fish handing position
[Ellian] says: I have /never/...bah. Yet.
Angaelen holds her own counsel.
Elaran giggles at Veras.
Ingarath yawns suddenly.
Arrish smirks faintly. "Have you had the opportunity?"
Autumntial glances to her in amazement then realizes
Peejee smirks slyly at Veras.
Arrish juggles some pebbles in one and.
Sylvanda looks down at Veras grinning wildly.
Cogitatus snickers very quietly while glancing at Veras.
Ellian grins at Arrish. "Not yet."
Cuprifex wishes he had some way to record the image of Veras frozen with the fish in hand.
[Arrish] says: Mm-hm.
[Ingarath] says: Well...does anyone else have something they would like to share?
[Cogitatus] says: Unfortunately, I have to go, Good Night.
[Sylvanda] says: I do not like fish Veras.
Cogitatus bows down graciously.
Seran waves at Cogitatus.
Cuprifex waves at Cogitatus.
Veras mouth moves, but it simply shuts again, he is *covered* in drool, cloths half consumed
Neia looks to Sylvanda blankly, then to Veras.
Ingarath is trying desperately to not erupt in laughter at Veras.
Agahmath waves goodbye to Cogitatus. Farewell!
Nyidi waves at Cogitatus.
Cogitatus waves goodbye to everyone. Farewell!
[Elaran] says: Good night, Cogi.
Ingarath waves at Cogitatus.
Autumntial waves goodbye to Cogitatus. Farewell!
Elaran waves goodbye to Cogitatus. Farewell!
Arrish waves at Cogitatus.
[Cogitatus] says: Vertigo!
Cuprifex makes an odd squeaking noise as he looks quickly away from Veras.
Angaelen waves at Cogitatus.
Meris chuckles at Veras.
[Cogitatus] says: Come along, Vertigo.
Sylvanda stretches purring softly.
Peejee seems to be trying very hard not to burst out laughing.
Arrish eyes Veras.
Ingarath is trying very, very hard to look serious.
Veras Works his mouth again and he sorta.... looks at the fish in his hand, confused
[Arrish] says: Really, Veras. How could you be so disheveled?
Angaelen begins to wonder what had the druidess chewing on his clothes for so long ...
[Cuprifex] says: It's a fish, Veras.
Ellian scrunches up her nose. "Arrish, he looks /sticky/. Ew."
[Elaran] says: Veras...you're up to something fishy over there, aren't you.
Cuprifex can't take it anymore.
Cuprifex laughs at Elaran.
Cuprifex laughs.
Neia winces in mental pain.
[Agahmath] says: .....
Autumntial smirks at the scene
Sylvanda 's eye dances with merriment as she looks at Veras again.
[Agahmath] says: Uuuugh.
Angaelen ignores the pun, as an act of will.
[Meris] says: This is... par for the course.
Cuprifex wipes a tear out of the corner of his eye.
Meris rolls her eyes to the side.
[Elaran] says: Dahla's worse.
[Arrish] says: Nng. Drool.
Dominik smirks.
[Sylvanda] says: Actually... Meris were you there when the cats attacked Veras?
Peejee tries to stifle her laughter but fails.
Sylvanda grins
[Cuprifex] says: You know...
Veras 's face contorts into a non-plus expression, he looks to Sylvanda
[Cuprifex] says: It's cleaner than human drool.
[Veras] says: Only you.....
Elaran giggles.
Cuprifex loses it again.
Cuprifex laughs.
Meris shakes her head at Sylvanda. 'Only saw the aftermath."
Poynard taps his pipe out on the heel of his boot.
Ingarath is laughing out loud now.
[Calithos] says: Veras...you did not tell me you were a cat lady..
[Poynard] says: Good evening, ladies and gents.
Arrish shakes her head. "Veras and cats...."
[Calithos] says: So THAT'S why he has pigtails..he is a she..
Elaran keeps snickering.
Poynard bows his head to the ground.
Angaelen curtsies before Poynard.
Sylvanda grins at Veras
Calithos rolls the pretzel stogie around in his mouth, contemplating.
Neia nods to Poynard, then goes back to eyeing the scene.
Meris giggles at Calithos, "Madame Veras ..."
[Sylvanda] says: Only I... what?
[Dominik] says: Madam Veras, fortune teller extraordinaire?
[Calithos] says: Oh, quite.
Ingarath continues laughing.
[Elaran] says: MOMMY!
Veras looks down at himself, then *flings the fish over his shoulder vaguely looking like he gives up, with a 'herumph' he rests his head on one hand
[Veras] says: Nothing Sylvanda.
[Calithos] says: ...So THAT is why you are called mommy.
Peejee leans over on to Meris' shoulder, unable to hide her laugher.
Cuprifex watches the fish land on a passing rabbit.
Jegen smiles at Nadeshiko.
Elaran nods at Calithos.
[Calithos] says: Why didn't you tell me, Veras? I could make you a lovely dress.
Cuprifex points at Rabbit.
Seran grins wickedly at Calithos.
[Meris] says: Kyltania already did.
Dominik grins.
Sylvanda 's lips twitch slightly as she decides to settle again. Sitting next to Veras and arranging her skirt.
Neia coughs a few times.
[Seran] says: That's very nice
[Calithos] says: Well it doesn't match with her hair, though.
Baydon shakes his head in wonder.
Neia nods at Jegen.
[Veras] says: Oh how the stories and rumors spread
Elaran gasps for air, still laughing.
Arrish looks bemused.
Angaelen holds back her laughter, and gives the poor man a wan smile.
[Cuprifex] says: Next week, someone has to tell the ancient tale of Veras, the Cat, and the Fish.
Ingarath clutches at his sides.
[Jegen] says: What are you doing?
[Dominik] says: Mmm...perhaps I shall write a play about it.
Angaelen clenches her hands against her knees and begins studying the fire ...
[Nadeshiko] says: I'm climbing onto this log so I can see better.
Sylvanda reaches up and pats down the hair on the side of Veras' head.
Agahmath hails Aldaeus.
[Jegen] says: It wasn't that hard...
[Sylvanda] says: Hmmm...
[Nadeshiko] says: Hmph.
Ingarath regains his breath, slowly.
Jegen smiles at Nadeshiko.
Aldaeus returns to the circle, taking a seat quietly.
Veras looks to Sylvanda, same non-plussed expression on his face
[Cuprifex] says: "For lo! This cat that drooleth over me / Doth eat no fish, nor aught we catch in sea / But cheweth all my clothes off, like a perv / And licks my face. It makes me want to swerve."
Peejee tries after a few moments to pull herself together, still chuckling, though now quietly.
Autumntial laughs.
Elaran giggles at Cuprifex.
[Veras] says: Please.... don't help, I'll just jump in the lake or something.
Cuprifex considers how to improve those last lines.
[Jegen] says: You still have some more training to do yet
Ingarath looks at Cuprifex....and then erupts in laughter.
Dominik grins at Cuprifex, clapping.
Seran cheers at Cuprifex!
Ingarath claps excitedly for Cuprifex.
Agahmath applauds at Cuprifex. Bravo!
Arrish covers a laugh.
Sylvanda chuckles softly and nods
Ellian looks over at Cuprifex, impressed.
[Cuprifex] says: That wasn't actually the poem I came here with, but thanks.
Cuprifex grins.
[Nadeshiko] says: Yes. And thank you so much for pointing that out, Mister Obvious. You sound like my Da.
[Sylvanda] says: I like the new hair style though...
Ingarath shakes himself.
Neia shakes her head, but chuckles quietly.
[Sylvanda] says: perhaps I should lick the other side to match?
[Jegen] says: I try not to sound that old
[Veras] says: I'll go for the asymmetric look for now... thanks.
Veras frowns and grumbles, returning his eyes to the fire
Ingarath laughs at Veras.
[Jegen] says: But explosions are the whole part of being a mage you know
[Ingarath] says: Oh my. I don't remember the last time I'
Peejee finds it hard to keep quiet.
Nadeshiko looks cross-eyed at Jegen.
[Ingarath] says: I don't remember the last time I've had this much fun.
[Nadeshiko] says: And...?
Meris takes in deep breath and snaps herself out of her semi-reverie.
[Elaran] says: Sorry, you're not cute enough to dance naked in front of me.
Elaran points at Berod.
[Ingarath] says: Ah, yes, and a dancing Kaldorei. Yup, it's a story night alright!
Autumntial laughs.
Cuprifex files that comeback away for later.
[Angaelen] says: I take it that this may be my cue to consider leaving ... the entertainment just took a nose dive ...
[Seran] says: Hey now..
[Agahmath] says: Aye. That's soundin' about right.
Elaran waves goodbye to Berod. Farewell!
[Jegen] says: If you only focus on explosions, everything will blow up in your face, so to speak
Nadeshiko holds up her scorecard: "0.3"
[Cuprifex] says: Right, so, stories.
[Ingarath] says: Does anyone else wish to speak...?
[Sylvanda] says: I had a poem...
Angaelen holds up a scorecard reading "-6.3"
Autumntial glances around the circle
[Cuprifex] says: I wrote a poem but it's a bit of a downer...
Sylvanda looks nervous
[Seran] says: She had a poem
Neia looks over to Sylvanda.
Cuprifex defers to Sylvanda.
Peejee would love to tell a song but is still finding it hard to keep her composure.
[Veras] says: I am sure it is a *lovely* poem.
Veras grumbles
Ingarath beckons Sylvanda over.
[Ingarath] says: Please, by all means.
[Neia] says: I can't help but think your performance art has surpassed any possible poem, though.
[Seran] says: Pft! Elves have the best poems, of course.
Nadeshiko grins wickedly at Angaelen.
Calithos hrms..
[Elaran] says: Depressing a gnome at this point shall be considered a capital crime, to be punished by being pelted with bits of fruit.
Neia gives a smirk.
[Elaran] says: You've been warned.
Ingarath laughs.
Seran gasps at Elaran.
Angaelen looks in her pack for fruit ...
Ingarath whispers to Elaran.
Sylvanda stands slowly and grins at Elaran
[Sylvanda] says: I am afraid that it is a bit depressing.
[Sylvanda] says: It was written for a friend of mine.
[Elaran] says: Okay, as long as you understand the consequences.
Dominik rummages around in his pack for some apples.
[Nadeshiko] says: Depressing night elf poetry? I'm shocked! Shocked, I say!
Calithos quietly pulls out another pretzel, and lights a match, burning he front of the pretzel stick, then blowing them both out, and puffs quietly
Jegen chuckles quietly
[Calithos] says: If it's too depressing, I'll tell another story.
Sylvanda unfolds a piece of paper paling slightly as she begins to read.
Calithos puffs, smirking a bit.
Autumntial perks a brow ready to listen in
[Seran] says: Don't worry about Elaran, I am sure it's very nice poetry
[Sylvanda] says: I write this as a last farewell,
[Sylvanda] says: I am departing from this hell,
[Sylvanda] says: Do not stop me,
[Sylvanda] says: And do not cry,
Meris tilts her head to the side.
[Sylvanda] says: I will see you when you die.
Asherrean looks up, his face expressionless.
[Sylvanda] says: I write this letter to say goodbye,
Autumntial eyes widen slightly
Angaelen nods at the near-requiem, listening with care.
Seran frowns slightly
Ingarath listens quietly.
[Sylvanda] says: Have no fear we all have to die,
Elaran begins searching through her packs for fruit.
[Sylvanda] says: Let's Go;
[Sylvanda] says: I'm ready now,
Dominik gently nudges Elaran and holds out some apples.
[Sylvanda] says: You don't have to show me how.
Nadeshiko waves Sylvanda off with a cheery smile.
Elaran takes the apples and smiles at Dominik innocently.
[Sylvanda] says: I write this for the ones left behind,
[Sylvanda] says: Its a simple action,
[Sylvanda] says: Don't worry everything will turn out fine.
Nadeshiko rummages in her bag for apples.
[Sylvanda] says: I write this,
[Sylvanda] says: My last letter of goodbye.
Agahmath rubs a gloved hand at the corner of his eye.
Sylvanda folds the paper up and prepares to be pelted by fruit.
Elaran lazily tosses an apple to Sylvanda.
Meris claps for Sylvanda.
Cuprifex nods somberly and keeps his apple to himself, as he'll be eating it later.
Dominik clap Sylvanda
Agahmath applauds at Sylvanda. Bravo!
Baydon claps excitedly for Sylvanda.
Ingarath claps excitedly for Sylvanda.
Asherrean nods solemnly to Sylvanda.
[Seran] says: that was interesting
Dominik claps excitedly for Sylvanda.
Ellian tosses a final clump of grass at Arrish and wanders off.
Veras quirks an eyebrow
Sylvanda catches the apple and takes a bite grinning at Elaran
Elaran claps excitedly for Sylvanda.
Autumntial claps to her with a frown
Angaelen claps excitedly for Sylvanda.
[Sylvanda] says: I do like apples.
Amberlyssa claps excitedly for Sylvanda.
[Ingarath] says: That was wonderful. Thank you.
Arrish claps to Sylvanda.
Seran smiles at Sylvanda.
Neia laughs a bit, then claps.
[Agahmath] says: Aye.
Elaran nods at Ingarath.
Peejee nods, grinning to herself as she pulls out another banana.
Sylvanda flushes as she scoots back resuming her seat.
[Elaran] says: And it wasn't angsty.
Ingarath yawns suddenly.
Seran peers at Elaran searchingly.
Arrish brushes grass from her dress.
[Agahmath] says: If I could, I'd like to be sayin' somethin' quickly. Won't take but a moment, me time is short.
Seran smirks slyly at Agahmath.
[Ingarath] says: Well, certainly.
[Agahmath] says: I must be off, but I was thinkin' I should say this. This is a fine group. Does a Dwarf good to be hearin' tales 'o adventure and tales 'o laughs.
Meris nods in appreciation to Agahmath.
Calithos puffs his pretzel, smiling a bit.
[Agahmath] says: I see there's not many 'o me race about, so perhaps next time, I’ll be tellin' ye all 'o The War of Three Hammers, or our valiant raid on Hammerfall.
Elaran looks back and smiles at Agahmath.
Cuprifex raises an imaginary mug to Agahmath in salute.
Ingarath nods.
Sylvanda smiles at Agahmath.
[Agahmath] says: Treat ye all with some Dwarven tales. Again, thank ye. Ye make a Dwarf proud.
Angaelen smiles expectantly to Agahmath.
[Seran] says: Hm..
Agahmath bows down graciously.
Cuprifex makes a mental note to get a real mug back in the City.
Arrish tilts her head curiously to Agahmath.
Seran smiles at Agahmath.
[Arrish] says: That would be good to hear, sir.
[Ingarath] says: Well, thank you, master Dwarf. We look forward to hearing you soon.
Angaelen curtsies before Agahmath.
[Agahmath] says: I plan on bein' back! Take care ye all.
Agahmath waves goodbye to everyone. Farewell!
Nyidi waves at Agahmath.
Seran waves at Agahmath.
Peejee grins around her mouthful of banana
Elaran waves goodbye to Agahmath. Farewell!
Ingarath waves at Agahmath.
[Cuprifex] says: Something completely different: A dwarf on a horse.
Angaelen asides "Quite so ..."
Autumntial nods as he rises up
[Meris] says: That is a rare sight.
[Autumntial] says: May you all have a nice night.
Ingarath waves at Autumntial.
[Elaran] says: Or a dwarf on a 'strider.
Cuprifex nods at Autumntial.
[Ingarath] says: ...Now that truly would be a sight.
[Angaelen] says: The road rise to meet those who now this night do take their leave ...
[Calithos] says: Seen it.
[Elaran] says: It made him look fat.
[Cuprifex] says: Picture a Tauren on a nightsaber and then talk to me about goofy.
[Seran] says: Pft..
Elaran boggles at Cuprifex.
Calithos pats the imaginary ash on the end of his pretzel
[Dominik] says: What of a Tauren on one of those raptors that trolls ride?
Cuprifex pictures it.
Cuprifex laughs.
[Veras] says: The raptor would probably keel over.
Meris looks over to Dominik. "Are you here to advertise some tonight, Dom?"
Dominik chuckles at Meris
Ingarath laughs at Meris.
[Ingarath] says: He needs no advertisement.
[Dominik] says: Well, not precisely, but I can if you wish.
[Dominik] says: I came to hear the tales.
[Cuprifex] says: A man who, needless to say.
Dominik stands up, grinning.
Angaelen blinks at Dominik.
[Dominik] says: But since you mention it, I am hosting another party on Monday.
Sylvanda stands stretching slightly and shifts forms grinning at Veras her tongue slipping from her mouth as she lays down next to him.
Sylvanda lies down.
Veras doesn't bother looking at Sylvanda
[Dominik] says: I'm sure many of you've seen the invitations, and you are all welcome to come.
Ingarath nods.
Cuprifex smirks. "For lo, this cat..."
[Veras] says: Don't, even, *Think* about it.
Elaran quietly snickers to herself.
Ingarath grins wickedly at Veras.
[Dominik] says: Nine o'clock in the evening. I hope to see you then.
Dominik grins cheerily and sits back down.
[Ingarath] says: Ah....a party.
Ingarath grins at Elaran.
Elaran grins wickedly at Ingarath.
Ingarath looks up. "My...quite late."
Sylvanda purrs loudly and butts her head against Veras' arm.
[Ingarath] says: Well, we certainly have no lack of speakers this evening.
[Ingarath] says: That makes me quite happy, really.
Meris arches a brow. "They all show up eventually..."
Veras attempts to ignore the cat nudging him
[Ingarath] says: Would anyone else like to share something with us before we disperse?
Asherrean looks up from his book. "If I may... there is a short bit of pandaren poetry that the lady's farewell." *gestures to Sylvanda* "brought to mind."
Cuprifex also puts a hand up, a little hesitantly.
Kaith looks towards Sylvanda, arching a brow slightly.
Arrish smiles faintly and rises to light another fire.
[Ingarath] says: ...Pandaren poetry?
Ingarath blinks.
Angaelen looks to the silvery haired speaker...
[Ingarath] says: Well, certainly, please share it with us.
Meris notices Kaith across the way and motions to him.
[Asherrean] says: roughly translated.... and I won't be able to get the tempo to its original form... but yet.
[Angaelen] says: ....Then might I beg your pardon to transcribe ...?
Cuprifex looks up at Angaelen.
Sylvanda spots Kaith and trots across the circle settling next to him and starts chewing on his shirt.
Veras grins wickedly at Kaith.
Sylvanda lies down.
Asherrean drinks from his flask a bit and clears his throat.
Nadeshiko laughs at Jegen.
Meris lets out a laugh.
[Asherrean] says: Waves on the ebb, // Sound fading away: // Autumn evening.
Kaith shoves Sylvanda's head away.
[Asherrean] says: The noisy cricket // Soaks up the moonbeams // On the wet lawn.
Arrish tilts her head, listening to Asherrean.
Angaelen begins to lay out her paper, using her shield as a desk, pen and stylus hurriedly fetched.
[Asherrean] says: Wild geese flying // In stiff, stiff lines -- // The sky colder.
Sylvanda purrs and paws at Kaith’s leg as she nuzzles her head closer
Sylvanda lies down.
Cuprifex listens to Asherrean, brow creased a little in thought.
[Asherrean] says: Autumn wind: // Eyes distended, // Red cicada shrieks.
Ingarath claps excitedly for Asherrean.
Aldaeus claps excitedly for Asherrean.
Seran claps politely
[Dominik] says: Oooh...how very intriguing.
Neia tilts her head.
Elaran claps excitedly for Asherrean.
Asherrean sits back down and closes his book.
Kaith looks at Sylvanda a moment, then claps for Asherrean.
[Ingarath] says: That was very interesting.
[Dominik] says: I should like to learn the mechanics of this style of poetry.
Meris looks curiously at Ash.
Peejee grins wickedly at Asherrean.
Angaelen hurriedly repeats to herself, as she begins to copy from her memory...
[Nadeshiko] says: Finally! Night Elf Poetry I like!
Sylvanda moves her front paws in a padded clap
Arrish smiles faintly. "I like that form of poetry."
[Neia] says: Hm.... I see the Pandaren don't go in for the usual brands.
[Asherrean] says: There are longer ones... but translation is difficult... maybe I will have more for next time.
[Arrish] says: Pandaren....
Dominik smiles at Asherrean.
[Dominik] says: Would you teach me the style sometime?
Kyltania leans back against the tree.
[Asherrean] says: I will try... I cannot speak it though, just translate the written form.
Ingarath nods. "It would be very interesting to learn it."
Cuprifex catches movement out of the corner of his eye and glances at 'Tania.
Sylvanda 's tongue slips from her mouth causing drool to pool on Kaith’s leg.
Dominik grins. "Whatever you are able to do, I would be most grateful to you, sir."
Asherrean nods to Dominik.
Kaith doesn't seem to notices the gathering pool of drool at the current moment.
[Ingarath] says: Again, thank you...
Seran lets out a long, drawn-out sigh.
Asherrean nods to Ingarath.
Sylvanda sighs
[Ingarath] says: Now, unless there are any objections, I think we shall end on that note.
Aldaeus attempts to make a silent exit.
Angaelen finishes her transcription, noting the date and waiting for the speaker's name ...
[Arrish] says: Thank you, Ingarath.
Nadeshiko stands up and stretches.
Seran nods.
[Seran] says: The stories were all very nice
[Ingarath] says: Let me thank you all again for coming, and thank those of you that continue to share with all of us.
Arrish stretches her shoulders, then her arms.
Elaran agrees with Seran.
Meris exhales slowly and yawns a little. "Indeed, it's late already..."
Seran claps excitedly for Sylvanda.
Nadeshiko claps excitedly.
[Peejee] says: Hrm.. drinks at the Jester?
Cuprifex plants one hand on the ground behind him, twisting and eliciting a series of pops from his back.
[Nyidi] says: Yes, that's two unusually good story nights in a row... perhaps a new standard?
Dominik chuckles at Peejee.
[Ingarath] says: And, I hope to see you again next week.
Elaran stands and stretches.
Neia looks to Peejee.
Peejee grins wickedly at Dominik.
[Dominik] says: I suppose I could open up for the evening.
Dominik beams.
[Cuprifex] says: Do.
[Neia] says: I'd be up for it, in that case.
Ingarath looks to Elaran.
Kaith shifts and sets his hands into his lap...right on top of the gathered pool of drool.
[Elaran] says: I'd prefer to stay out here for a bit.
Seran clears his throat
Ingarath nods.
Sylvanda 's lips twitch slightly as she smoothes her skirt over her legs.
Meris grins at Kaith.
Ingarath grins at Elaran.
Kaith frowns slightly and gives Sylvanda a look as he wipes his hands off in the grass.
[Meris] says: I need to stretch my legs a bit, I think.
[Ingarath] says: Indeed...I can barely feel mine.
Kyltania stares out from the shadows, remaining quiet.
Peejee stands up, brushing the dirt of her pants.
[Meris] says: I'm sure Elaran will help you with that.
Sylvanda whistles tunelessly under her breath
Cuprifex laughs at you.
[Angaelen] says: To each and all, gramercies for thy patience and clemency ...
[Dominik] says: Well, then, I shall be off to prepare for opening.
Angaelen curtsies.
Ingarath turns to Meris and opens his mouth...but then says nothing and grins.
Dominik grins and strides off merrily.
[Elaran] says: Why Meris, whatever do you mean?
[Nyidi] says: Where is this "jester" exactly?
Elaran smiles innocently at Meris.
[Nadeshiko] says: Well, my date dumped me. I'm free.
[Dominik] says: Do stop by if you desire a drink or continuation of pleasant company.
[Peejee] says: the Jester is up in Stormwind.
Dominik smiles at Nyidi.
[Dominik] says: It's in the park.
[Nyidi] says: Stormwind's a big place
Meris eyes Meris casually, deciding against making a short joke.
[Peejee] says: In the Park area. near a post box.
[Seran] says: Oh.. that one.
[Nyidi] says: Okay, I think I know the place
Neia smirks over at Nadeshiko "You can do better."
[Angaelen] says: That inn by the pond ...?
Nadeshiko nods at Neia.
Elaran nods at Ingarath.
Cuprifex wonders how Meris managed to eye herself.
Ingarath smiles.
[Nadeshiko] says: He doesn't understand explosions. Very ungnomely.
Veras grumbles and lets his eyes wander
[Elaran] says: Good night, everyone.
Meris meant to eye Elaran but is sleepy.
Sylvanda grins at Veras
Elaran waves goodbye to everyone. Farewell!
Sylvanda then looks at the remaining people.
[Sylvanda] says: Thank you for allowing me to share my poem.
Angaelen nods appreciatively.
[Sylvanda] says: And I am glad I could at least amuse you a bit before hand.
[Peejee] says: Well.. shall we head off?
Cuprifex counts out a bit of change to pay for a gryphon ride.
Veras snorts
[Cuprifex] says: Remind me to buy a horse one of these days...
Meris looks to Peejee and nods.
Neia looks over to Peejee, and nods.
[Peejee] says: See everyone at the Jester.
Peejee grins mischievously and turns to go.
[Meris] says: Oh... Kaith? How'ver you been doing?
Angaelen blows finishing sand over her writing ... and then begins to set away her scribing kit.
[Veras] says: I think I will... bathe first.
Peejee snickers at Veras.
Kaith looks to Meris. "Well enough, Miss Meris."
Sylvanda lets out a shrill whistle. A large white cat can be seen bounding over the hills behind Veras.
Veras stands and shakes off a bit of the spittle
Kaith stands and gives Sylvanda another look as he wipes off his pants.
Asherrean stands and stretches
[Sylvanda] says: Veras... Kaith if you wish I will pay for the cleaning.
[Veras] says: Ick.....just...ick.
[Arrish] says: Oh, I'm sorry, Miss Spannerworth, did it not go well? Well, explosions do seem to be, er, intrinsic.
Veras raises an eyebrow at Sylvanda
Sylvanda chuckles as she waves turning her mount.
[Veras] says: I think I will survive.
Angaelen removes her own cloak ...
Meris looks at Arrish curiously. "Spannerworth?"
Kaith shakes his head slowly. "I can clean it."
[Nadeshiko] says: Jegen said that I until I can appreciate life beyond explosions...
Baydon mutters something under his breath as he walks away from the remaining crowd.
Nadeshiko shrugs. Who knows?
Arrish indicates Nadeshiko to Meris. "Nadeshiko Spannerworth."
Nadeshiko waves.
[Meris] says: Oh!
[Arrish] says: Miss Spannerworth, this is Meris Higgenmater.
Nadeshiko greets you with a hearty hello!
Meris recognizes the gnome. "You're number four."
Kaith looks about at the remaining people and makes his way to leave.
[Nadeshiko] says: Number four what?
Nadeshiko looks blank.
Meris blinks at Arrish in confusion, but lets it slide.
Asherrean nods those present and walks off.
[Meris] says: The... fourth gnome of the evening.
Nadeshiko blinks. 'Okay. Whatever."
[Arrish] says: Oh, do we keep track?
Nadeshiko smiles at you.
[Meris] says: I'm trying to determine if there is any correlation between the number of gnomes who appear on Thursday nights and the activities of the following week.
[Nadeshiko] says: What kind of activities?
[Nadeshiko] says: Explosions?
Meris shrugs. "Good or bad things, relatively speaking."
Angaelen shrugs. Who knows?
[Nadeshiko] says: More gnomes, more good?!
[Meris] says: If there is a change in the average number of gnomes that appear tonite, it might signify something of portent.
[Arrish] says: I believe the gnome count is generally rising.
[Meris] says: For me, anyway. I've no idea if it's true for others.
Angaelen curtsies before Veras.
Veras grumbles as he walks back in new clothing
[Arrish] says: Gnomography? Gnomismatics?
Meris shakes her head at Arrish. "We didn't have several of the regulars."
[Arrish] says: Fortune-telling via gnomes.
[Meris] says: Gnomaugery.
Veras shrugs at you. Who knows?
[Veras] says: Was at least a decent night....
[Veras] says: Though some tales went on *forever*
[Arrish] says: Aye; I liked the creation myth, Veras.
Meris grins at Veras. "Short tales are better, usually..."
Veras smirks slyly at Arrish.
[Angaelen] says: As did I ... might I beg your source, sir ...?
Angaelen curtsies before Veras.
[Veras] says: Eh? I heard it once from a Tauren in Booty Bay, a rather depressed Shaman if I had to guess.
